Pork Hash and Dim Sum (Steamed Dumplings)

  • The Manapua truck is always a hit when it comes to pork hash and of course it's manapua bao buns. I have experimented with a few recipes but came out with my own. Here is the recipe. As always if you use my recipes to make kala (money)...share the love and pay it forward. A hui hou! Enjoy!
    Pork hash, pot stickers and crispy gau gee mix-
    1 lb ground pork
    1/2 lb ground shrimp
    1 can water chestnuts chopped
    1 bunch green onions diced
    1/2 lb bean sprouts slightly diced
    1/4 cup shoyu
    1 Tbsp oyster sauce
    1 Tbsp sesame seed oil
    1/2 cup Chinese wine
    2 Tbsp fish sauce
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp ginger powder
    1 tsp garlic powder
    Mix all ingredients together
    Wonton shells
    Water to seal filled wontons
    Wet your index and thumb outer area of your hand to form a basket with the wonton shell. Put a teaspoonful in the center and bring up the outer layer of the shell and close up the sides to form the basket. Try to remove any air pockets using the back of the spoon. Lay on waxed paper.
    Steam for 13-15 minutes.
