It's extremely difficult to stay with the leaders, so big kudos to all cameramen. However, I continue to struggle with the videos editing. What better example than this: at 31:00, when the men's leader is about to do the multi rig, why does the video shift to the women's leader, who is just running by herself? Unfortunately, situations like this happen fairly often. It's super frustrating for viewers!
dwade literally what I just said, bad timing switch. They automate cameras in live streams most of the time with a delay, so for example by the time they realized they fucked up, there was probably a 10s delay of them waiting for the command to prompt a camera change.
43:30, why can they step in front of the barrier for the spear? There are some really obvious faults being shown in this. Not dragging the metal plate the whole way, starting helix not on the first area, stepping past the spear barrier. How is this allowed?
The athlete was not stepping in front of barrrier at 43.30, she was besides the barrier but there is a rope between the two barriers which prevents athletes from stepping in front of barrier
As it is an endurance competition having knowledge of your heart rate can give you a number indication of how hard you are working, whether you should push harder or relax slightly. Obviously nothing beats sensory input of feeling pain and strain.

@dwade no, just bad timing in camera shifts imo

@dwade Camera focus is shifted in every race
@dwade You may not realise it, but you are just one viewer
happens all the time on their broadcasts... super frustrating and horrible directing.
why don't they lift the tires like powerlifts do instead of doing it like a deadlift?
Nicole crushing it! Dream woman.

why do they need to monitor their heart rates?
