Hey thanks for watching! No i think that it was a halibut. I saw it for a moment and it didn’t look like a ray. It fought more like a halibut too, but I guess we will never know. I’ve only caught a couple rays on lures ever. I guess it’s a possibility.

I'm jealous, it looks like you don't move much while fishing, while I'm floating out of the bay very quickly generally if not peddling against it.
Hey thanks for watching and reaching out. I use my thruster system to stay in place. It has a potentiometer that controls the thrust. I just dial it to what I need to keep up with the surge or to flow gently when it’s ripping. I use my flippers to steer mostly. I can basically be hands off and control direction that way. I have never used an anchor with it. I hope this helps. Cheers!
@@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman I been using braid with shock leader and its bit hard on Corvina when they jump up and do the crazy head shake to pop the hook out, with mono / floro line it has that stretch keeping the fish hooked like a shock absorber and helps the fish stay on better.
Yes they are. Just have to make sure they are regulation size and I would only eat them from the parts of the bay closest to the ocean. Thanks for checking out the video!

I been catching some big vampires and bone fish in the bay and pesky needles fish

I am a mono/flouro guy for sure. I just like to try new stuff.
