    I have a 2023 Kubota B-2601 with a 60” belly mower and a new 2024 Bobcat ZT6000 zero turn with a 61” deck! I like them both ! The suspension seat on the zero turn is amazing!

      A bobcat zero turn? I didn’t know bobcat made a zero turn. Very cool. Sounds like you got the setup. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

      @@mercurymangarage6186 Yeah Google Bobcat ZT6000 you will see the lineup 👍. Amazing mowers ! My Kubota has a Curtis heated cab so the zero turn is cooler in the hot weather but the heated cab rocks in the winter for sure 👍

    Have a 2020 2025r TLB. Had a Craftsman T310 54in mower since 2019. In 2021 I purchased a new version 60D and had it fitted to my 2020. Quickly realized I didn’t love it, was slower than my Craftsman and felt like King Kong with the ROPs down. I did the Reverse switch mod as I strip my lawn, no circles. In June I opted for a JD 760r 60 with tweels and got tweels for the front too. Mulch blades and it’s no comparison speed wise. 760r has a strip kit too, but cut quality is similar (60D was quite good too)
    I got a 24ft V-nose car hauler for 3rd garage. Stores both, attachments etc.
    Oh the 2025r had to mow in low gear due to some hills. Zero turn spins and shoots. Far superior seat on the 760r too. Wish that seat could be fitted on the tractor

      Sounds great. The cut is nice on my 2025R too. Haven’t decided what I’m gonna do yet. Great idea storing in the car hauler. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

    For what it's worth, I had a 1025R WITH 60" deck, they are okay on flat lawns. I do have a JD ZTR now, and a stander which I really like.

      Yes. Great on flat somewhat smooth lawns. Mine is flat but bumpy and I’m not going to take the time to level it. Too much acreage for that. I may run 3pt dethatcher over it to see if that helps. Still looking at zero turns though. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

    We have about 7 acres most of it is wooded. We own a 23 2032R with the 72 inch deck. We also cut and process alot of wood and it was primarily purchased for wood hauling and stump popping off the yard. It came with the mower deck. Primarily for the yard we have a Deere lx 178 to do the grass. Smaller footprint can reach around then weed wack. For what you have there check out the Deere X738 as it has the sit on tractor feel and has the four pivot turn wheels as an option or straight rear axle. Plus a diesel version. It may be my next purchase whenever this old LX178 dies it’s about 31 years old now.

      Sounds like a nice piece of property. The 2032 is a great tractor. Almost went with one before I decided on the 2025. I’ll check into the one you suggest. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

      @@mercurymangarage6186 please buy a zero turn tractor at least with that you don't have to make 30 maneuvers every time to turn around and cut the grass at home

    Sounds like everyone has a different solution, and that is because we all have a different sized Yards and terrain. A Zero Turn Mower would not give me anything but a single purpose mower. I have a 2018 2025R with a 54" Deck and I bought a X570 last year to replace a well worm X320 with 1,600 hours. All of my Trees are large enough I can mow around them on either machine. I can mow up to 7 mph forward and 5 mph in reverse and 5 mph is fast enough for the terrain and a quality cut on either machine. I have a ton of mature trees so the mulch kit on a 2025R does the job and so does the x570 with a mulch kit and a Power flow during the fall. In the winter both have plows, so yes I maintain two machines but there is redundancy.

    • @mercurymangarage6186
      @mercurymangarage6186  7 днів тому

      You are very correct. It’s a broad spectrum. And yes a zero turn is a single job machine. That’s one of the reasons I’m hesitant. Your X570 is a nice machine. I’m looking at that route too. Sounds like you have a nice piece of property to maintain. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

    I use my JD2025R 60" MMM on my two acres. I agree with your observation and commentary but my yard area is rough and mowed four times a year. .

    you should roll your lawn to flatten out the bumps. that tractor should be able to pull a good size roller. zero turns can't pull a roller

      Yeah I did that in the spring . It helped a little but got worse as the summer wore on. I think it’s mostly the ants. They’re all over around here. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

    Cutting wheel ruts on soft dirt and grass is what I do not like about zero turns. Mid mount tractors are plenty fast. Put the hours on the machine.

    • @mercurymangarage6186
      @mercurymangarage6186  5 днів тому

      Yes the ruts are a concern. Not real concerned about the speed. Still undecided. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

      @@mercurymangarage6186 you bought that tractor to spend time on it . Get an ash tray and a beer holder and put hours on it. Do not get in a hurry. Also mowing for you is a 5-6 month deal. That damn zero turn mower will sit for 7 months

    I mow mine with a 3000 series john deere cab tractor with a 6 foot 3 point finish mower. Mow around 4 acres. Then push mow around house 2 widths to hit areas around house since in tractor I stay away a bit so I dont hit anything. works fine for me. When I take loader and wheel weights off for my mowing setup- I lower air pressure in tires to the minimum (for mine it is 12 psi) and that helps a lot to smooth out the jarring bumps. I dont need to spend the roughly $13k for a zero turn mower...I would rather keep that money and use it for something else or invest it if I ever get that much extra money for mowing budget.

    • @mercurymangarage6186

      Sounds like a nice setup. I may end up a smaller lawn tractor. You can buy 10 of those for the price of a zero turn. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
