I was stationed with the British Army in Belize in the 70's and we used to go out to Goffs Caye most weekends, there were no buildings on the island then, and we would normally have the place to ourselves, we would take a BBQ and a large cool box with beer and soft drinks.
We did this one early in January this year too. It's Belize, so options are limited anyway, but I was super irritated they wouldn't let us snorkel from the shore, which the excursion through Carnival said was offered. We just wanted lazy snorkeling..in and out when we felt like it. It was okay, but not something I'd do again. One good thing is that they pick you up directly from the ship so you don't have to tender to Belize and then also take a boat out there. Definitely bring water shoes! I never get in the ocean anywhere without them, no matter what the conditions. You just never know.
It pretty but I probably wouldn’t recommend going if not snorkeling since there really isn’t anything else to do on the 1 acre island (perhaps enjoying that in itself is enough!)
Sadly you're a week too late, we just deleted are raw footage from this trip where I likely had some footage of the operators saying their company name or a shot of the tickets where it's listed. Dang it, sorry, as I would recommend them for sure as their instructions and guidance while snorkeling was excellent!

Water shoes were a must, sandals just got stuck. Overall Lance didn't prepare very well for this excursion lol
We've been there and the coral reef is amazing. I want to go again here in a week or so but if we can't snorkel...? Why?

Do you know what the company/excursion was called that took you there?
