It's back, and this time the boost is under control. Please note: the purpose of this session was to get the truck stuck and load the engine to check AFR and Boost pressure.
I can't believe how many people think that the louder something is, the more powerful it is. Loud does not equal power. Spinning your tires just digs you in further. I know this is all for the fun of it, and I bet it is a blast. I haven't done anything like this in years.
nice job man ..... did you made any vids of the big block engine you where building or have specs on the turbo's used. im thinking about a remote setup with the turbo's in the bed of the truck and im planning on 2 garrett GT4088 turbo's out of a DAF truck (they have used the 60 holsets in the past) mounting the turbo's in the bed might keep them out of the mug a set of truckstacks exaust and roofmounted inlet for the air makes it more waterproof , does take a bit more plumbing for lubrication
I have to agree with bighunt there some of the badassest Ive seen i love the sounds and the power of the blazer when it rips it out of the hole!!!! 5*****
Awesome truck...I love the power. What good does a billion HP do in the mud? Put that motor in a street or drag car.....I'm not dogging the truck , it just seems like extreme overkill.
i have a small block 350 and i just put a 292 cam in it!!i havnt ran it yet cause i just foud a hole in my fuel line and it leaks pretty bad.ill b puttin sum vids of it up on here soon when i get it runnin
k and how did u set up the carb to handle the boost cuz a guy in our crew is settin up a turbo smallblock chev and ive heard a coupl of stories and yours works
the mud doesnt hurt the turbos does i want to turbo my truck and am wondering if i can still go mudding do u have to mount the turbos in a certain place????
lol oh ok i getcha.. do some head work to it please =) and.. port them babies out you will give that turbo somewhere to put that boost, seems to run tight, i dont think you would have a problem with head gaskets or the crank, btw how much boost are you running?
Lovely exhaust manifolds! If u rap them with heat rap ur turbo will spin up faster. If the exhaust gas cools it shrinks, so spins turbo slightly less. Love the scrapyard!
regardless if your checking afr or boost pressure....i can tell that this engine and turbo will not be lasting long at all anyways. you expended half the engines life and wore the turbo plum out in three minutes. plus, what good is a turbo gonna do for a mudder? when your stuck and your wheels are spinning, your stuck. Right?
Hell yeah i love this...n for everyone that thinks hp doesnt help in the mud get in a blazer with a stock motor and a blazer with some balls like this...same thing same tires same lift and u tell me which one will go farther haha...reading posts from below me thats why i said it my dad has a bronco with 700 hp and 2 inch lift and it gets threw stuff better then jeeps with an 8 inch lift...except the stuff that will put it on the frame obviously haha
Well it seems to me like its a smaller turbo if its spinning up @ 2500. My turbo spins up at around the same RPM with no lag at all. The smaller the turbo the less the lag.
hmm im sure if it is still running on the stock bottom end with 12psi then it is in good shape, but jesus who said somthing about nos on it, the most you could put to it the way it sits is maybe a 50 shot, it would pop in a heartbeat with anything more running 12psi on stock crank and rods :D
is that front diff open ? can't believe someone would take that much time to build a truck and leave the front diff open.. or just use a posi unit. nice truck otherwise neat video
sounds like you have a vaccume problem when you idle down it wants to cut out I dont have no big ass truck or anything (will soon) but my car had that problem till I did a vaccume line elimination

Holy hell if I had the stacks I would mimic every part on that Blazer. Damn that is one sick ride!
By the looks of it... custom piping and blow-through carb... job done.
OMG !!!!!! Those trucks are both nuts especially the Blazer Damn!!!
i believe all da boost is under control on that chevy at the end!!
I always thought, that chevys and other muscle machines sound better with blowers/superchargers,but this sounds just awesome wth the turbo!
that blazer is sick, tubo truck needs igniton work sweet video
All that boost and no go, what a shame. HAHA Nice trucks, well done
nice job man ..... did you made any vids of the big block engine you where building or have specs on the turbo's used.

that thing is raw! i love the sound of a turbo.
I have to agree with bighunt there some of the badassest Ive seen i love the sounds and the power of the blazer when it rips it out of the hole!!!! 5*****
The full size Chevy is high centering on the ground with the front axle.

That damn blazer ain't no joke.
good lord that blazer looks way more bad ass

I would like to shake the hands of the men who built this truck
MAN I WANT MORE OF THAT BLAZER
i love listening to the turbo spool down
Nasty bad boy cam.
i love you guys

Awesome truck...I love the power. What good does a billion HP do in the mud? Put that motor in a street or drag car.....I'm not dogging the truck , it just seems like extreme overkill.
sick set up. did you use a blow through carb set up or fuel injection?
hey nice video thanks............
i never thought of the ground hawgs lol....they make them that big the biggest ground hawgs i've seen were 33's
Yeah buddy.........sick blazer!
PURE BEAUTY!
i have a small block 350 and i just put a 292 cam in it!!i havnt ran it yet cause i just foud a hole in my fuel line and it leaks pretty bad.ill b puttin sum vids of it up on here soon when i get it runnin
cool, would have liked to see it in action or moving I guess.
k and how did u set up the carb to handle the boost cuz a guy in our crew is settin up a turbo smallblock chev and ive heard a coupl of stories and yours works
thats good....i get mine parts cheap cause the guy i get them from is my brothers friends and we go muddin with him too...so he gives us deals
dont get me wrong... its got some nuts!!!
Wow that was badass when he pulled the guy out.
I want more video of that Blazer!!!
the fronts are tsl bias by sumper swamper
Sweeeet.
Ain't nothin' like a mud dyno.
That S10 blazer sounded real mean.
that blazer is badass, love how it sounds...
did you fab a drop down something for the transfer case?? To make the driveshafts angles better?
the mud doesnt hurt the turbos does i want to turbo my truck and am wondering if i can still go mudding do u have to mount the turbos in a certain place????
ha know, you should put wider tires on that big deisle. it will somtimes get better gas, and they never get stuck!
wow that blazer is nasty
aahhh, i'm a fan of that guys s-10, ha, your trucks nice to :D
@1981jmj hahaha I agree, awesome way to dyno...
hey dude...im kinda new to it....whats the chain and sproket for?......and how come no intercooler?
i thought i would let you all know.. when its says rev limiter didnt want to hit second, that was the valves floating, not a rev limiter :)
lol oh ok i getcha.. do some head work to it please =) and.. port them babies out you will give that turbo somewhere to put that boost, seems to run tight, i dont think you would have a problem with head gaskets or the crank, btw how much boost are you running?
how much ? to build ? very nice
AMEN ON THAT!!
Lovely exhaust manifolds!
If u rap them with heat rap ur turbo will spin up faster.
If the exhaust gas cools it shrinks, so spins turbo slightly less.
Love the scrapyard!
kinda neat but pretty much a mud anchor
damn that thing sounds great
regardless if your checking afr or boost pressure....i can tell that this engine and turbo will not be lasting long at all anyways. you expended half the engines life and wore the turbo plum out in three minutes. plus, what good is a turbo gonna do for a mudder? when your stuck and your wheels are spinning, your stuck. Right?
What size and brand are those rear tires?
he needs a set of TSL BOGGERS
hey man badass truck, 2 questions, what size small block and what size turbo? if you don't mind me asking
nice truck.
Hell yeah i love this...n for everyone that thinks hp doesnt help in the mud get in a blazer with a stock motor and a blazer with some balls like this...same thing same tires same lift and u tell me which one will go farther haha...reading posts from below me thats why i said it my dad has a bronco with 700 hp and 2 inch lift and it gets threw stuff better then jeeps with an 8 inch lift...except the stuff that will put it on the frame obviously haha
nothing says hardcore like the sound of a turbo winding down being louder than a lumpy mean V8!!!!
Well it seems to me like its a smaller turbo if its spinning up @ 2500. My turbo spins up at around the same RPM with no lag at all. The smaller the turbo the less the lag.
That rev limiter sounds so fucking good
Wicked machines.....looks like mud fuN!
what are the specs on the s10? both are sweet chevys.
Yes we are
no vacuum prob. it could be the cam he is using....
the turbo mud truck still in action? havent seen any new vids in awhile
hmm im sure if it is still running on the stock bottom end with 12psi then it is in good shape, but jesus who said somthing about nos on it, the most you could put to it the way it sits is maybe a 50 shot, it would pop in a heartbeat with anything more running 12psi on stock crank and rods :D
more of the blazer
JESUS CHRIST that S dime had more power than that short bed....
What kind of turbo and how much????
thats a big fucking engine to be tackin out ,that was sick haha
Can the Blazer make it through that mud hole?
both of em are beasts, love the sound!
is that front diff open ?
can't believe someone would take that much time to build a truck and leave the front diff open.. or just use a posi unit.
nice truck otherwise neat video
what tires you got on there
when that turbo winds up that is the greatest sound alive
yes that truck got SPANKED
requires a front end alignment eh! haha
so a serious off roading truck can have turbo, but is their anything special that you need to do it
sounds like you have a vaccume problem when you idle down it wants to cut out I dont have no big ass truck or anything (will soon) but my car had that problem till I did a vaccume line elimination
Is that a Scottsdale?
whats the setup in the blazer too
is it?
Does anyone know what those cables are called that stretch like a bungee cord, so you can get a run at pulling a truck out
sure cause turbo boost triples traction!
that sounds way good and he rev limiter is gnarly. sweet farm fab turbo set up.
lockers....
lol that jimmy screams
sounds badass but you got stuck haha
ya i see that but all the way around thou
Is that fuel injection??
where do u get a turbo that big?
dammit sorry lol. im new to the whole truck business thing lol.
for my 44" TSL BOGGERS with rims came to around 750 a piece.....thats cheap cause i get deals since i know the guy...lol
no lockers?
lol most tire shops wont deal with 44's
