I have been playing acoustic guitar for 20 years and just now entered the vacuous world of electric, just finishing my first basic pedal board build for musical worship at church. To say it has been daunting is an understatement. I can get lost in the effects, pedals, sounds, etc very easily and lose sight of genuine worship. I have a tremendous passion that musical worship does not have to suffer in musical quality nor lyrical power and truth. This channel has both and I am very grateful to have found you. Thank you for doing what you do. It is clear you are a worshipper with both lyrics and instrumentation. Love it.

You have some serious tones, bro. Lots of worship guitarists tend to have shrill and thin tones, but yours hit the sweet spot! Most importantly, love the insertion of the verse at the bridge. Love your tone, love your phrases, love your heart! Keep it up!

Troy, your tone blows me away every time I hear it in every song. You are inspiring me and my playing both skill wise and tone wise. I was wondering if you had a second to tell me how you are running your board into the kemper. Is it stereo in using the effects loop with the strymons, or are you just running straight in the front of the amp mono? I'm looking into buying a kemper, but have a pretty decent pedalboard I don't want to get rid of. I'm curious about how I could most effectively run my board with strymon timeline and bigsky into the kemper and still get the wide, full tones you are achieving. I really appreciate any insight you could give. Thanks so much for what you do!
Hey there. I just posted a whole signal chain rundown if you want to watch it. I run two Kempers in stereo. Pedalboard goes right to the front, with the TL and Big Sky going to stereo.
If you have one Kemper, I’d keep the Timeline in the front and run the Big Sky in the stereo loop. Two XLRs out of the back of the Kemper and boom! I made several videos with that setup as well. Sounds soooo good. I prefer the way in some aspects. The Big Sky in the stereo loop is mind blowing.

As a request and a suggestion, please record these tunes without the dotted eighth delay on them for practice track. The delay sounds great but makes it frequently very difficult to tell what the heck you're actually playing. Thank you for what you do.

Are your Timeline knobs in the position that the preset is in? Or are you just flipping to a bank and the knob position does not apply to the tone? If so, is it that way for all of your videos? Thank you. Love that you make this a ministry.
