I was born in 1955 and I graduated from high school in 1973 when this song came out. I had forgotten about this song until I heard it recently in the movie, Paul. I am here listening to Hello It's Me, January 4, 2025. HAPPY NEW YEAR! I wish I had a Time Machine to travel back to the beginning on 1970 when I entered the 10th grade in the Fall of September 1970. I remember seeing Todd Rundgren on a Friday night watching Midnight Special. I always watched The Midnight Special on NBC on Friday nights back in the early 70's. I truly miss those days and I will be 70 years old June 26, 2025.
This was such a "coming of age" song for me back in 1972.I still love TODD!!!! I got to meet him and talk with him a bit in Boulder Colorado 2 years ago. He's quite simply a Genius- but he also has a great sense of humor. He's been through so much... A Giant of a man.

Because of Steven’s wild lifestyle in 1977, when Liv was born they gave her Todd’s last name & decided to raise her believing that Todd was her real father. Liv didn’t find out that her biological father was Steven until about age 10 while attending an Aerosmith concert with her mom…..& realized that his other daughter Mia who was there, looked exactly like her! Years later, she changed her last name to Tyler, but kept Rundgren as a middle name. She’s remained very close to both dads since!

Just saw him 7/24 in Laughlin, NV...playrd two and a half hours, out of the hundreds of concerts, this was easily one of my top ten...wish I had been seeing him all along...fantastic voice, even at 76, great guitarist, and killer band. Very deep intricate lyrics...a musical genius! God he was just stellar! Very high energy..he was all over the stage...blown away..my wife was as well!

Todd Rundgren wrote and did this song in a band he was in called Nazz in 1968. A much slower version with less instrumentation. Todd redid it as a solo and played all the instruments on it as well. It was a mega hit at the time. I think Todd regretted being so know for this song. He was a musical genius and experimented a lot with his music. Todd Rundgren wrote and did this song in a band he was in called Nazz in 1968. A much slower version with less instrumentation. Todd redid it as a solo and played all the instruments on it as well. It was a mega hit at the time. I think Todd regretted being so know for this song. He was a musical genius and experimented a lot with his music. I know a lot of people love the direction he went in, but this song is it for me. Darn near perfect. Thanks and God Bless.
