Hear is my laundry list of mods. I'd like to see how it responds to EVP multi stage reflash and test of throttle mapping in various terrain, along with top speed and 0-60 gain. Put harnesses in asap and a roof (I like speedsxs.com roof). Seats are improved, but add some Simpson heated seats. Seal the dash from the radiator heat if you run it in warmer weather. Test some 32" Tusk Terrabite Kevlars and some 32" Maxxis Libertys mounted on some beadlocks with a couple inches offset. Add speedwerx steering rack bushing kit. Maybe stronger tie rods. Add Shock Therapy springs...test...then do valving and retest. Add rubber pad under rear diff. Perhaps UTV inc 1/2" full UHMW skid with rocker coverage. S&B particle separator. See other comment for exhaust. That should keep you busy...and broke. Keep up the great videos.
I think it's great you guys are able to keep the several machines, really will help all of you grow your opinions on the different machines. No way too many of us can afford to buy them all or how they compare head to head. I am glad to see you are re-evaluating the XX. It is unfortunate that my Sport doesn't get more press.. ha ha ;).
Little shock therapy love makes those machines sweeeeet! Plus 32's I feel you guys didn't give the XX a chance. With the upgrades you've put into everything else, you can't really judge it until you've done some work on the XX as well.
I have just spent the last three months in Arizona with anew wildcat xx I am retired so I am able to ride a lot like 3000 miles to date. I put a speedwrks big tire clutch kit in because the machine is soft shifting on the bottom and soft on the back shift This really helps. This machine likes to rev so drive it like you stole it Have fun and get to to some really rough trails it likes the bumps
I want to see a lot more of this Wildcat just to see if it holds up. I was really impressed this time so maybe the last one was a Friday at 5P.M. build.
Thanks for giving the XX another shot. It's definitely on the top of my short list. I think a roof, window, better tires, and some shock therapy love and the XX would be an incredible machine. It's the cheapest here in Ontario by a pretty wide margin which is why it has my attention.
Stoked that you guys finally got a xx. I’m looking forward to seeing the performance mods you guys add. The only thing mine has so far is the Textron half windshield, Tusk aluminum roof, Tusk side mirrors, & Tusk rear window. I also have the super ATV full windshield and wiper kit but only ran it once last fall as the machine became a dust vacuum at anything over 30mph. Don’t seem to notice that issue with the half windshield and rear window. However, with just the half windshield and no rear window it had the same dust issue. Also, I hacked up an old foam mattress and stuffed pieces behind the dash and steering column areas to reduce the heat coming into the cab. Unfortunately, I didn’t do much winter riding this season as I was gonna pull it out and see how well the radiator acted as a cab heater... I had also stuffed some foam behind the seats where the harness pass throughs are.. I like the machine but the sound does get annoying so I’m looking forward to seeing what you guys try and the results you have in the exhaust department. I have over 600 miles so far with no issues (knock on wood)... Luckily where I live here in Idaho we can legally ride on the roads and I even drive mine down the highway and the police are very relaxed about it. We even use them to go to the store occasionally.. lol. I was born in Michigan and remember the police back there always giving us a hard time for even riding the 4 wheelers down the old dirt roads out in the farm country where we lived in Hillsdale county in the mid 90s. Absolute BS imo!..
Also, I removed all the plastic & shielding behind the exhaust almost immediately as I noticed it retained a lot of heat. Now with that gone it allows the heat around the engine to dissipate much quicker...
Doug’s little talk at the end, when Rick is running the pressure washer, sounds like he just wanna Nascar race and is in pit lane talking to the camera.

You guys should work on the entrance to the jump like smooth it out and then work on the jump it self then have a competition with all the the machines except mud lyfe and see which machine jumps the furthest and flattest and lands the best. I think the new rzr that doug or sous has will prob win and the honda seems like it nose dives. But yeah i say a jump comp is due.
Glad Textron did some improvements, the more choices people have the better the sport, hobby. Competition breeds new technology and improved rides. Keep the rubber in the dirt.
I have the same 2019 XX. Love it for the most part. Rear is soft. Shock Therapy videos talk about their spring kit and revalve improvements. It does sound like I'm wearing a beehive for a helmet. I'd love to find an exhaust similar to the Weller Racing dual muffler YXZ system. Better tone. So far the speedsxs.com dual muffler is closest. Perhaps Doug can fab a 3 muffler adapter/collector to test? I found some good led headlight bulbs on amazon. I also got the speedsxs.com rugged radios dash plate. Nice, but the factory plug and play harness would not reach it for switches so jumpers were needed. Dragon fire has the correct 3-prong switches. The door plastic can expand in sun/heat and lessen door gap causing binding. Springs sag quickly, so keep adjusting ride height. I'm excited to see what mods you do. Will it be called the Sxsblog. Edition.XX (S.E.XX) machine?

@@pipelinemechanic731 If money is no object, I believe the Turbo S is top pick, especially if duning is your thing. Best price I found was another $6500 and still needed a cage and full doors, so another 2K. The XX chassis is IMO the best built. Serious triangulation throughout and legit tubing. All double shear steering/front suspension. Rides great overall. Great in the desert on trails. Robby Gordon's rights on suspension and cage could be limiting. Overall, stock sxs is great. I'm 6ft and run the seat fwd a little. I love the cab space. I am not disappointed other than the sound, as it does wear on me. A lot of people don't like the bed, but it is handy. If you have specific questions, ask away.
Mike Desilets I am in Tennessee. So our trails are mostly woods and hills and some times I go to East Tennessee to ride Brimestone and Windrock. Which is rocky and hilly mountains.
Agreed! 100% Was raved with reviews, but overshadowed by these new machines. I just put on some Mongrel tires on mine...it seemed to give me more power and better ride. Has always been a great vehicle to drift, now it's even better.
1st.. shock therapy upgrade then.. 2nd go check out Hillbro channel and try to get your hands on a turbo kit.. 3rd. 72" long travel and try to beat the Turbo S.
Idea.... for as many times you do 0-60 times and can never find consistency in the dirt. Lay down a 8x 100’ strip of asphalt to at least get the launch..

Could you guys do a roof height measurement with a guy inside? I got a cellar with a non height adjust door that's 1800 sq ft. I might buy this just for the ability to put in my heated shop. Please do this on pavement if you try. Wicked appreciate you guys doing what you do! Real world stuff!

David Cason I bought a new 800EX in 2015. Sold it too some friends and it’s still going strong!.. It’s got over 2000 miles so far and has only had 1 front shock replaced and u joints (all under warranty as I purchased a 5 year warranty with it). I would actually like to test drive the Z force 1000 & the new Uforce 1000 as well...
It's cool, but I still like the Honda Talon 1000R better.. Now we wait and see which holds up to the wrecking ball crew! lol. Have a fun weekend guy's.
