What is ASMR?
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response
A feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound.

• Sensory - about the senses or sensation
• Meridian - signifying a peak, climax, or point of highest development
• Response - referring to an experience triggered by something external or internal

ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

I’ve been watching you since (almost) your beginning and I have to admit that I was a little sad when you stopped doing as many page turnings. I still LOVE your channel and watched every video the moment it came out (and then 5 times more) 😂 But I’m gonna get real crazy here and say that I think I love these shopping videos even more than the page turning! I run a very busy and very stressful meal delivery and catering business and spend hours at a computer and there is something about putting on one of your videos while I’m working that just absolutely relieves all of the tension and anxiety I’m feeling and allows me to just focus on work. I also listen to your rambles when I can’t unwind and fall asleep. So, thank you Paige! You’ve become something of an old friend to me over the last year (which is so weird and slightly creepy) and you are deeply appreciated. It’s a weird little thing we all do / enjoy but man, I sure do think it’s a helluva lot better than popping a Xanax and an Ambien! So happy for your recent growth and success. The things you think are table “sparklers”, they may actually be balloon weights. They may have a wire in the middle, which you tie helium balloons too so they don’t float away :)
