Learning new skills for a video is probably one of my favorite part of the process. Learning to card, spin and knit was so interesting and gratifying. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed discovering these traditional crafts! 😃 Thank you for watching.

I occasionally knit or crochet as a hobby - something to keep my hands busy while I watch videos or something _(with store-bought yarn)._
This is not only super relaxing to watch, but puts a new appreciation to the amount of effort that went into making wool items in the past.
Honestly, up until watching this video, I always thought that the yarn worked through the big wheel on a spindle. I didn't know that the yarn you could see was essentially a 'driving chain.'
This video just reinforces one of the things I have on my bucket list: to make something out of wool or cotton *_ENTIRELY_* from scratch.

This is so beautiful, and the energy throughout so deeply calming and peaceful. There are always so many magical moments in your videos, too many to mention here. But here are a few that particularly touched my soul: the haunting intro music with the solo flute melody perfectly captures the solitary nature of what is to come. The moment near the beginning where you are running your hands through the fluffy raw wool and then bring some up to your face to smell it, was so visceral that I felt like I could touch it and smell it too. But it was that final moment that actually brought tears to my eyes: We see this woman whom we have come to know only through this very solitary craft, being covered with a blanket by an unseen loved one, and we suddenly learn that although this process may be solitary, she is actually not alone, she has someone in her life that loves her. Through that one simple action, this character completely unfolds, and suddenly we have a whole new sense of who she is and the world that she inhabits. Please forgive me for going on and on like this. But for some reason this one really spoke to me. 🙏

Amazing. In every way. The sound of the wheel spinning is soothing and hypnotic. What a joyous sound. Another perfect video. I will use a quote that explains how I feel about you're work in this video. Whereof one cannot speak thereof one must be silent'- Ludwig Wittgenstein.

Thanks for another amazing, relaxing, & creative installment from your fans! ❤️ I almost thought you were doing a Rumpelstiltskin roleplay the way you did with your ASMR reading version. Both he & the miller's daughter would be envious of your speed! If only we can spin straw into gold, the one magical ability I'll (& many) love to have! Thank goodness for the sewing machine since the art of needle & thread is far from easy (& long)!

Literally just had major heartburn that woke me from a dead sleep.
As I ran around screaming in pain waiting for the antacid medication to kick in, I just listened to the sound of the carding to focus on something else.
Sometimes random sounds just help take the mind off of the moment. Thank you

The amount of prep that goes into these videos is amazing, especially when it includes learning a new skill! I found it fascinating to see how the fleece was turned into the finished product that could be knitted with.
