Bro it would be soo awesome to float and fish the river with you, awesome video and good to see that some companys are reaching out to you keep up the good work
Maybe sometime man! I've actually never floated the river. Seems like the current in the Arkansas is probably a bit strong right now for it, but it does sound like fun 👍
Thanks, glad you enjoy the vids! & Yeah, pretty sure the old ugly stik just needs a little TLC but it can probably use a break, or maybe even a retirement 😂
No, that's not a hook holder. Seemed ornamental to me. Hook holders are usually a small loop or peg sticking out somewhere near the reel. The cap at the bottom does come off, but only works as a stash spot if the rod is extended to full length since it pushes into the storage space when telescoped 👍

This combo is a decent option & pretty affordable. I believe I've got a link in the description. I'm also a big fan of the 2 piece and 4 piece Ugly Stik GX2s. The 6'6 2 piece is actually one of the main setups I use for bass fishing. Good luck & hope this helped! 👍
Great review.. looking for a good telescoping rod to use on my vacation 2025 in Colorado rivers. Trying to decide between the 6' or 6'6" rod which would you buy? Mainly fishing trout and bass Or whatever bites. How does the handle feel with your hand?
I'd probably go with the 6'6" since it's telescopic anyway & won't take up extra space. Having that extra 6 inches will help with casting distance & better hooksets especially if you're targeting species other than trout. The handle felt pretty good for a telescopic budget setup. Not perfectly balanced like some higher end stuff, but for the price and convenience of it, I thought it was great!
If I remember right, I believe it's a medium. Bit more play in the tip than a lot of bass anglers might prefer, but it definitely handles nicely for such a compact setup
@@AllmouthBassing because of your video I had to order one. I think you’re spot on with the power. I filmed a video Saturday using mine. I was definitely impressed. Thanks bud.
I hadn't even thought of that. The lack of balance doesn't bother me much, but great info for others who might want to make that adjustment. Thanks for the suggestion 👍
Thanks for the great review! Nice fish caught!
Awesome, glad you were happy with it! & Thank you 👍
I’m actually using this rod paired with a Shimano Sienna while visiting FL and it hasn’t failed me yet, totally worth it.
Thanks for the review 👍
Nice! Glad it's serving you well. Thanks for watching! 🤙
What size Sienna?
Thanks for the review. My sister gifted this combo for Christmas, I'm excited to try it out. 😊
Nice! I think it's a great setup for casual fishing. I hope you like it 😁

Dude enjoy all your videos, and now I can hear you. That old coffee grinder of a reel was loud 😂 Congratulations on the freebies 👍

isn't that weird loose thing to attach your hook to? And is the handle hollow? Does the end cap come off so you can store things in there?

AMB, kickin bass again man!!! 😎 🤘
Haha thank you sir! 🤙
@@AllmouthBassing you ever considered a discord bro?
@@sergeantoggy All I've ever used discord for is to chat while gaming. Does it have other functions?

Great video man, I just received one of these as a gift. My question is what pound line are you using on it?
Nice man! I was using 10lbs mono personally. If you're targeting bass, 10lbs should be good enough as long as you keep your drag set right
I’m going backpacking would like the option to fish on the way.. is this something you think can handle some abuse on the trail?

That’s awesome. Great video. What power rod would you say that is?

the end of the rod unscrews. put some lead shot in the handle to balance it out
