IRS borrowing time. They used our money to pay their own debts. Coincidently, 9 weeks ends the week of April 15. When people that owe taxes deadline start paying. Now they can pay us since money is now coming in. (Opinion) Sounds like embezzling to me...
I still don’t have an update this is so frustrating. I filed Jan 24th was accepted Jan 26th. Code 570 March 04 received 971 and cp05 letter March 11th. The letters says I don’t need to do anything the review will take up to 60 days. I checked today and nothing has changed. I am about to give up because I never had to go through this all the years I have been filing my taxes.
Have you pulled your transcripts yet? If the letter is stating there’s nothing for do, you just have to wait .. within 60 days you should have an update but the transcripts gives more in-depth info

My cycle code ends in 05 which I heard means my updates are every Friday. WELL TODAY AFTER TWO MONTHS I AM STILL STUCK WITHOUT A DDD! I called the IRS 3 separate times and each agent gives me a completely different answer. To sum it up my husband and I are shit outta luck until they do their job! At this point I have already contacted my state representative and State Senator, so maybe we can get something done going that route. THE IRS CAN SUCK IT! 😤😠

just check WMR still stuck at RETURN ACCEPTED, my transcript still showing N/A. i called and talked with an agent, and i was told my return is in the ERROR RESOLUTION DEPARTMENT to wait 10 weeks from the date filed and accepted.
Accepted January 29, 570 code on March 18, 2024 no verification needed and 60 review letter sent on February 26, 2024 now April 07, 2024 and still nothing and the reps can’t tell me anything yet all transcripts are there so why not release my funds if there was a problem they should have found it by now.

I have an odd situation. Just went through a divorce, etc. and so my parents claimed my two kids. IRS sent a letter requesting they meet in person to verify identity and so on. They met Monday and 2 days later the WMR status changed from “Your tax return is still being processed to “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” However, on the IRS website we go to look at the transcript and it says your 2023 taxes have not been processed. Y’all… what is the deal? Anyone know??

So no thanks, they keep saying they can’t verify my w2/w4s despite sending them and uploading them in the portal. One agent just said nothing is wrong that I’ll just have to wait for them to approve it. One agent said it’s my withholding but won’t tell me what is the issue. I told them I uploaded and sent all of them and they can figure it out bc this is bs. Everything is correct. My projected date is June 11th but they said even if we get to June 11tb they might send another letter for further review.
Can an expert reply back to me and tell me what are they doing that it hasn’t been approved. Also what the hell is the error dep? My Tax profesional never heard of this.

IRS says they are processing amended returns received in January. They’ll probably get to March before they get to mine.
