I've been waiting for this video and it's awesome as always. Thanks for your great analysis. I overlooked some details and therefore haven't been successful yet, but now I'm confident I can do it.
We use a similar strategy some different minis like I park drakes on all the towers for defense at transitions and having beaten rag I use him as one of the leaders for defense holes and coordination mishaps
Blizzard designers are watching this patting themselves on the back, little do they know they just alienated all the casuals a quick way to kill a mobile game.
for thoose who had to use draki in other bosses i did it with baron rivendare/rend with pretty much the same decks but no poly, blizzard and imun with burn, the key is to control the flying units with this two, and its a bit more easier in my opinion cause poly has to be reaaaally good timed to be good uses, but we were lvl 24-25 deck both so
@Old_Guardian - Can you please post a summary of leaders you and Turtle have used so far throughout the raid? And who you are planning to use for Golemagg and Rag? Thank you for your amazing content!
Turtle: Maiev, Sylvanas, Rivendare (Turtle does not have Cairne leveled), Drakkisath, Rend Me: Maiev, Sylvanas, Cairne, Cenarius, Drakkisath We had to use one Drakkisath on Garr because Turtle did not have good alternative Leaders leveled high enough. Garr can be done with others too, I have actually done it with Onu/Cenarius as well with other accounts. We struggled with Geddon and brought some more levels to the fight with Drakkisath valor/boost slots, it could have been another Leader too. This leaves us with no Drakkisath for the rest, unlike we wanted, but the current plan is Charlga/Charlga for Golemagg and Jaina/Sneed for Ragnaros. Not sure if they still work.
@OldGuardian Use Murk Eye and Thaurisson for Ragnaros, the buff applies to the spawned Murlocks. Then you'll actually fly through the health by popping poison quilboar and whelp eggs on opposite sides of Ragnaros. Both you and your teammate do this consistently until dead, you don't even need meat wagon except for maybe defense. Last time my teammate and I beat him LONG before overtime. Cenarious actually stops Garr golems and easily promotes deathball healing. Would recommend.
They made it too hard with the patch. There is limited amount of cooperation you can get from most of players. This kills the game for most of the players which are going to quit the game eventulay...
I know it is called Raid. But it is still (or should be) a mobile game! 5 hours dying to this boss is no fun and in my opinion it is not possible for an player without Teamspeak or Discord!!
Thanks for the guide, it was awesome. which leaders did u and turtle use for Gehennas? Used cairne like you planned? we can slot in molton giant and faerie dragon but didnt know what to use for those other horde slots. we are trying to copy your whole raid for this one. think we could get pass gehennas but geddon will be a tougher challenge
My wife and I used Cairne, pilot is the key I think on that boss. We like fire ele with shaman, and harpies with quail so we threw those in with bat rider.

@@OldGuardian sweet. thank you so much for getting back to me. i just planned for myself and my buddy cairne and thaurissan. if we fail we might go back to baron because thats what we used last time. i was afraid you gonna turn to baron for some reason for later bosses guess you aren't. i have a feeling tharissan should work. i placed the faery dragon at the off slot of top right
@@w203wuda We may also need some boost slots near the end, those may override other considerations. Turtle has none left, I have Emperor and Rend with boost.
Golemagg was 20x easier. Stack up two chimeras with the poison talent, then just spawn unbounds behind Golemag until he's defeated. He ALWAYS prioritizes what's behind him.
Not really. Chat suggested trying out Frost Shock and as the fights are quite short, I gave it a try. I am not sure whether it affected anything, but it did not feel bad either for this use case where we are not trying to stack poison over a long period of time.
I tried this strategy with my guildmate many times. We're never able to 'keep' the towers. Geddon destroys them, but even if we place quilboar or eggs there to take them back, either we place them too late (so Geddon rebuilds the towers and starts spamming us with enemies) or it's too early and Geddon goes back to fight our troops, taking the tower back anyway. Are we missing something? Any good tips for this boss?
The trickiest tower is the top right. You often need to drop two sets of unbounds there because Geddon comes back to kill the first ones. For every other tower, you should usually be able to prevent Geddon from rebuilding with one unbound: Quilboar for top left and bottom right (even Dark Iron Miner can do with good timing, but Quilboar is more forgiving), and Whelp Eggs for bottom left.
fight is too rng and takes hours to get a good pull in just to get. kills the game for me and i'm sure others as well. Don't 4+ hours to waste on this shit.
@@OldGuardian Yes, I see you have gotten a lot of use from it in raids to extend poison after your attack wave dies. I do have Tunnel Vision, so I guess that's better than nothing.
@@OldGuardian its weird, we have higher average group level than yours in video, seems like you did a lot of mistakes on video and yet we cant beat baron, not sure if he wanst buffed even more or smth
Now that the main plan is clear, I think we can improve on it somewhat. However, we started without boost slots and a level 23 Chimaera struggles with the towers and even more with Geddon's minis, so this is one of the more level-dependant fights in the raid. It is now harder than Ragnaros.
Very disappointed with this massive buff. I wanted to play a mobile game and relax not deal with a heroic raid in world of Warcraft. I stopped after attempt five and probably won’t come back until they reduce some buffs. Having to wait until overtime in order to beat a raid boss is a bad design in my opinion. Grats on the kill!
Love you! Love the Dual Screen that is AWESOME!! Nice to see what both players are doing!
That was insane, i can't believe you did it with greens.
I went to sleep not believing you can make it. I am super impressed! Huge congrats!
Good to see both screens here.
This kill was sooo smooth. Not even close! The secret seems to not rush anything and have some high level chimeras
Thank you for guide man, my guild is progressing thanks to you!!

Epic fight!!
maps with the tower in the middle is usually hard to look after, this map is especially demanding!

Can bring rare/epics and still wipes the floor with you. Not fun content at all.

Hello Old Guardian. Could you organize all the Raid videos into a single playlist? Thank you for helping us with your videos.
After Ragnaros this is probably the hardest boss in MC right now
Great job killing it!
But those lvl 27 flyers are hard to get
exceptional work man!!! you r the best!

Golemagg still can be killed by old strategi with chimeras. You can use any leader, i prefer chargla

What was Turtle focusing his faerie resistance buff on?
Gargoyle
This fight without coms is so hard.. We got a better vantage point now with this setup but still, hard man!
There is no living bomb?

I don't have the poison quilboar talent. :(
It is really good here. The second-best would be Tunnel Vision to get the Quilboar hitting at a tower faster.

But how do you kill Rag without double Rend?
Thaurissan and Murkeye combo for defense, also just spawn quilboar and whelp eggs on each side of Rag until defeated.
It doesnt work anymore since whelp eggs dont deal damage to air units
It most certainly does work. I just did it with these armies today.
