Wow, this is incredible, I barely managed it with my partner and with a team average of 27. You are the best warcraft rumble strategist, congratulations on your great feat and also congratulate your partner
Great video! We still used this strategy in nati regis guild. I had this exact sneed setup just my partner changed to worgen and arcane blast and we smashed it🎉
Thanks for continuing to give new ideas on how to approach these fights, OG. It’s a big help to people that haven’t leveled certain minis or are just underleveled in general. (N.A., Eng) are looking to recruit 1 member to fill out our guild roster. We had very good turnout for last DMF (only a few thousand tickets short of max) and have multiple members that have cleared all of the MC raid. Join us for the upcoming season!
We used this strat and managed to pull it off- great video. Our tweaks: average level was higher at 23.4, and we brought a second execute rather than a second dark iron miner. This gave us more damage and combat flexibility, especially when (re)taking towers for extra income right before/after phase changes. It also helped us a lot in final rush phase. Worth noting that your income falls apart pretty quickly in the final phase so transitioning during overtime can help that money keep flowing in for the final unbounds/spell kills.
My hat taken off in respect for OG & turtle laying Raganros wih Ø-DeckLevel ~22,1! Anyhow the livestream reaction would have been nice o see/hear :-P ^^
I think you could replace Miner with Totem shaman to have higher HP core in late game, since you have Sneed with mining talent, he could collect his gold on a side way
Did they change the mechanic? I did some testing 2 weeks ago and my partner taking towers with siege units while I was using Sneed did in fact give the bonus gold to both of us. In the same way, Thalnos gets additional levels from teammates using spells, and the emperor provides all physical units the burn effects. The only combinations that I tested that didn't function this way was when my partner and I both tried using Murk-Eye, whereas this bugged the system and only one of us got the summoning ability. Then of course abilities that effect gold control like Rend or Charlga. My strat was Murk-Eye and emperor, this provided the murlock spawns with the burn damage, simplifying the Ragnaros attack immensely. In addition, we used the whelp for the offensive strat, but also used quilboar with the poison ability to take a few shots and apply a poison stack in addition to the whelp damage. We also used Tauren for hitting the double unit stacks defensively, and graphon for the level bumps. This method was so effective, that we beat him before hitting overtime, I want to say we had between 1-2 minutes left before overtime.
We tested it during Siege and did not get gold for partner Siege units engaging targets. Note that the units do not need the last hit, any damage will do.
Well done! I finally beat Rag myself with Jaina. Anyone out there done any testing with Rag talents? I haven't seen many recommendations from anyone after playing Rag themselves (aka not just theory crafting).
You get fewer Giants the better you are able to control the gold: taking the chest every time and mining as much as you can. Also, destroying incoming Firehammers and Pyromancers helps to make the AI play more of them as replacements. Whelp Eggs can make it want to play more Pyromancers too to counter them.
This is nice, thank you ! I just don't understand why you had no Molten Giant in your fight ? This was our main problem, sometimes multiples giant + hounds and we had only one banshee available.
You can kill Core Hounds and possess Giants: Sneed + Meat Wagon or Jaina can kill a Core Hound. You also get fewer Giants the better you are able to control the gold: taking the chest every time and mining as much as you can. Finally, destroying incoming Firehammers and Pyromancers helps to make the AI play more of them as replacements. Whelp Eggs can make it want to play more Pyromancers too to counter them.
Nice stratetgy, but my wife and me have not quite the same levels, especially meat wagon and gargoyle are 2 Levels lower. It's just not doable then, we get overwhelmed when the sons spawn. Whelp, maybe next time. Guess ur levels in sneeds team are really the threshold to being able to make it.
Hey OG, we had a couple of tries where we had 2 molten giants + corehounds in P2, what do we do wrong ? I see here you only got molten giants in P3 at the end.

@@OldGuardian I can say that sometimes the AI gets our gold in our lane, since it smashes our dark iron miners to bits being 29 and ours 21. But even if we do it well, they spawn 2-6 giants time before p3, it absolutely sucks. Some other dude tactic has 2x banshee, makes it far easier, I was wondering about gargoyle swap for banshee but strat changes i leave to actual pro's lol
This is my strat :D so happy to know it's the lowest level rag kill till now, I posted it on reddit yesterday, killed him in like 1h and half with full green minis in my sneed army and average lvl 22 both players, however, I used banshee and execute for defense with sneed instead of whelps and blizzard, and jaina went with another wagon (to defend quite better from the sons of flame and make sure we always have a wagon poking rag, since it's so fragile and will be oneshotted, specially at last phase) and with deep breath, instead of pilot and whelps, but can replace deep breath with any of them or with any other damage or cc spell, such as arcane blast, holy nova, poly, etc. And the other core mini was the shamy with the talent that heals the base on jaina's deck, instead of the miner, it makes the fight so much easier, since you get to 3rd phase with practically full health in your base
That's a nice video. Btw, can 1 high lvl player boost/help the other one? I have for example 75 sigils and most of the units are 10-18 at lvl. It's very very unfriendly the game to very low spender. :(
Sieges and Raids cap your minis at +2 levels above the boss level, but yes, to an extent a higher level player can carry in the co-op modes. You'd still need to reach 90 Sigils to gain access to Sieges and Raids.
@@OldGuardian Your sneed is rare so = 2 talents unlocked, but you have 'mining' talent chosen/active in your Ragnaros deck. But you recommended the +2 Gold talent as the best - does that mean you haven't unlocked/purchased the +2 Gold talent in the GRID? Any specific reason for it to take as last of the 3 Sneed talents?
@@t.e.r.sven2.0vs.daskaltest59 Yes, that is exactly what it means. I try to have all talents between my accounts, and that is how the talents ended up.
It's more accurate to say that the average level was 23.3 because a lot of what was bringing your level down was lower levels on minis where their level is irrelevant. Mostly semantics though since either way it's the lowest level clear that I'm aware of. I just think that if 2 people that were truly level 22s with nothing over 22 attempted this it would go poorly. Particularly if their Sneed and Execute were level 22 you would see a pretty significant deterioration of performance. Your meat wagon would've done very slightly worse at level 24 or lower, not due to damage but due to HP. At 12:31 your meat wagon gets hit once by a core hound and survives to continue damaging ragnaros for another 90 seconds. It is pretty rare that they only get hit once though. There's some value to having a higher level banshee as something that you controlled can maybe kill 1 other thing but 16 is not mechanically different from 20 and not significantly worse than 24. It definitely doesn't warrant bringing the average level down by over 0.55. Another mini that you can afford to use with slightly lower levels is Gargoyle. They can pretty easily 1 v 1 a Son of Flame or a tower even at 22 and if a fire hammer or pyromancer gets on them they don't last meaningfully longer at 24. That being said it was unfortunate that the Blizzard on Jaina wasn't 23 and Sneed's wasn't 26 as that does make a pretty significant difference without wildly changing your average level. Another strategy that you can employ is putting whelp eggs right above where the corehound spawns on the right lava pool. This slows it down significantly and can help you kill it or banshee it and save your meat wagons. You need more than 3 to kill it unless your eggs are very high level but I don't recommend doing 6 because it'll likely draw a living bomb cast plus often you'll have another meat wagon moving into place that can support the eggs. Likewise I don't recommend doing it on the left lava pool because it will likely draw a pyromancer or firehammer spawn. On a side not this composition is ~80% aligned with the clears I did with Tirion + Jaina where our squads were avg level 25 Tirion and avg level 24 Jaina. Instead of dark iron miner we had defias bandits (since no Sneed). Instead of bat rider we had harpies. Everything else was identical. We never cleanly pulled off the phase 3 whelp eggs execute transition but obviously the extra levels gave us the buffer we needed so it wasn't necessary. The main benefit of Tirion is that he allows long stretched out strings of enemy units to bunch up tightly for blizzard/execute thanks to his divine shield. The healing on gargoyle is useful for sons of flame too since you can get both with 1 gargoyle that way, the gold cost is the same but you don't need to cycle your whole deck for it. In a pinch he can tank a molten giant indefinitely (in case they throw 2 at you and you banshee 1 for example) or stall something like a son of flame to buy you time.
After the second round of buffs, I have moved to this strategy: ua-cam.com/video/ViCUwPtP20w/v-deo.html

Miner is about denying Rag gold too.
Really appreciate the analysis and walkthrough. I didnt catch what Talent you’re running on that Bat Rider?
It was the slow talent! Bigger flame pool should also work fine, but I wanted to keep the enemies away from our base as long as possible.
