Simple supply and demand. There are more players now with the updates and leaving RS3.
Jagex is using the GE Tax money to buy bonds and push the price up so people use real money for membership instead of buying bonds. Bonds went up and down on a pretty repeatable pattern before the GE tax but if you look at the price after the tax was implemented it has gone up non-stop at an unprecedented rate.
I actually have seen bonds in osrs reach up to 14.5M a few days ago. But it's mostly due to inflation. With the mining update, I can see more alchables coming into the game to boost inflation even more. Lower the cost to buy more profit the more people will alch for profit = higher inflation. I was estimating bonds to hit 20M each by next year, but at this rate, maybe 40-50M. Luckily, I spent 28b of my bank on them at 9.2-10.2M each 😅

need more real life spenders I just came back after a 6 yr break and bought 70 bonds and sold 12m each but takes ppl like that to support them if you think how many ppl buy bonds vs how many sell it for gp, supply and demand

Bond price has nothing to do with bots... Jagex monitors the price of gold which is piss poor at like 18 cents/mil and equates that to how much membership costs in real $ to determine bond prices. Price of gp goes down bonds go up, gold goes up bonds go down.
