got this. very cool. it would be nice if it contained a high pass filter as the sounds generally have quite a lot of body which often doesn't sit well in a mix. overall great module.
Is there a way to dial back the “crashiness” of the attack, like if you want a sort of warm ride without it having that hi hat vibe? Does that make sense? It sound like there’s always something sharp in the attack. Thanks!!
The exciter section is modeled after sticks. The Tone knob will darken the attack and the excite knob will round off the attack, similar to switching from a nylon to a wood stick. If you want more of a mallet feel or just a softer excite, it is worth experimenting with the audio input as it feeds the model directly and lets you replace our exciter with your own. Hitting the input with a raw trigger gives a much more round sound. Putting a low frequency "bonk" sound into it would likely produce the results you are looking for.
OMG it sounds soooooo REAL! :o
This is fantastic! Can go way beyond normal cymbal sounds into pure sound design.
Just ordered this today. Cant wait to pair this one with the Voltage Block
Ace! Definitely want all of your cool unusual drum percussion modules that do way more than beats.
Ok, jazz on a modular is now possible! (Without a sampler). Just ordered 1
If only there was a brush exciter!
very nice module! great demo
..so impressed with this module and Kraken.. 🔥 ..will have to purchase these soon..
Trying to decide between this, fracture, or chimera is tough!
I have a Chimera to create some metal/glassy sounds, but this was actually what I was looking for... 🤔
Amazing - 8hp in this prize just to explore one sound! Great work!

Just run it through a filter in your rack
@@BULLY_FINGER sure you can, but a suggestion doesn’t hurt either
impressive! well done WMD ;)
Very nice
would have been interesting to hear what the audio input does.
There are examples of that in the in-depth demo and there will be another video like this focused on the audio input in the next couple days. Thanks!
I would love a silver panel!
07:08 - the best moment!)

WMDevices awesome. I’ll give it a try. Didn’t occur to me until you broke it down like this. Thank you 🙏
@@bengoldberger1113 I've found that stereo reverb or delay helps with this if you want to create more of a fizzy wash
Waiting for all of these black face to be on amazon dope dope
Gimmee! Gimmee! Gimmee!
i like fracture > this > chimera i think but its close
would love to have all the WMD percussion modules so good- I have fracture and crater super awesome. Now want crucible and chimera.
is it a mono output? sounds kinda stereo.
mono output, yes.
🏆🏆🏆
what is the module on the upper left corner, just to the left of the Crucibles?
That is the WMD/SSF Modbox. It's a dual LFO and Sample and hold module.
What's that watch you have on?
It's a surf watch from the company Electric Eyewear.
Silver please.
If you want to impress me... make me one that's analog :)
..best analog hihats are on the vermona drm1 MKII in my opinion but this is digital for a reason.. it sounds fantastic
