You talk so much truth . I’m here in the uk , have no land ,in a first floor apartment with people and new buildings filling any space around me 😢. I spent most of my life living in vehicles very much removed from society and ending up here 15 years ago, makes me look back and realise how good I had it . But least I get to share in everything you are doing & hope you have a great growing year 👍
I've seen you survive a winter storm, work in tons of cars, blow up a truck and pull engines apart and put back together better and stronger! And now your gardening what is next my friend?? Awesome vid!!
Thanks for planting Dustin Your part of what keeps this country alive literally . As for my garden whats in it is the stuff you plant. Or what ever is in the Kroger produce dept.
We have always grown our own food as much as possible, non gmo, plant based only and stopped needing medication for blood pressure and cholesterol since changing our diet. Great message, good luck with the gardens
I hope that you are getting some help and passing your homesteading knowledge on to your family. I have fond memories of planting my small vegetable gardens some 65 years ago - great lesson of learning the benefit of hard labor and the joy of enjoying the fruits of your labor. I don't believe that those lessons are taught in US schools anymore. Interestingly, here in Thailand the elementary school in my wife's village has a student garden. The vegetables are harvested and used in the school lunches that are available for free to the students.
You're an accomplished farmer. You have the talent to be independent. Are you using wind and solar to generate your electrical needs? Well done, your goal is well within sight. :)
Something I learned doing my own homesteading is that goats dont really do well as grazers and would be better off with sheep for eating grass. Goats prefer broad leaf things head height or above.
Too much work for an old bloke but i will never starve as i will eat anything......................including babies, oh ey the other other white meat 😉
