I’m a huge tornado/storm nerd and that footage of Kim’s was amazing! Right from the birth of the funnel too and so damn close but luckily heading the other way!
Nice! Do you mind if i ask where you are at? I used to work from Fort Collins to Julesberg down to Wray and west from there doing tech work for the lottery. I miss those small eastern Colorado towns in the summer! Saw some crazy storms…
Yes. Denver NWS issues the most tornado warnings in the country. Weld county Colorado has/had the highest concentration (per square mile) of tornadoes in the world. Eastern Colorado is sparsely populated though, so deaths and damage are rare. As the climate is changing, the concentration (in number of tornadoes) is moving east, but the ones occurring in the west side of traditional tornado alley, like eastern Colorado, are become stronger.
Wow mate too close, hope you never see one that close again. The thought just occurred to me do you have one of those underground shelters ? If not it might be time to look into it, weather is all over the place at the moment totally unpredictable like the 50c (122F) temperatures in India this week.
Closest I've ever come to tornados was out in the Atlantic. Off New Yorks east coast. Wicked water spouts! Nature is beautifully amazing ❤👍✌️
Oh! I think I live over by you. Those windmills are familiar. Good to know that tornado is over my house.
Your wife has nerves of steel!
👍👍
That’s scary stuff for real! Great job capturing it! Stay safe!
Glad you're both safe and she got some amazing footage!

Saw a tornado from my 5th grade classroom window, I will never forget that sight.
Very glad everyone is safe.
Good grief. Are tornadoes even common in Colorado? Thank God everyone is safe. Take care Dustin!!

Wow! That was close. How did your neighbors down the road fare from the end of the video?
lucky it had weak winds, broke some tree limbs and took off some shingles no one was hurt
Wow!
Tornadoes aren't my thing. I do like a good thunderstorm though.
Are you considering an under ground tornado shelter....i would....
