it would be.. weird if a laser did hit mars and the rover would see it then say LASER HIT FROM EARTH TO MARS BY PHOTOBOMBER!!! but too bad thats scientifically impossible
I see a very bright star in the sky at 1:00 am everyday and everything is silent in my neighbourhood with the fresh air and that's the best moment of my daily life
If you're seeing it at that time, you're looking South, and it's twinkling very noticeably and has 3 stars kind faint in a straight line pointing to it (hard to see at first) and only seeing it in certain months it's probably Sirius otherwise it's Jupiter.
Fun fact:this short was posted on the day mars would be closer to earth (basically opposition) the max I think it can get close is 58M miles so he basically posted this during opposition

It takes 12.5 minutes for light too reach mars so if there are aliens they won't see until 12.5 minutes

If it’s brighter than everything else, you’ll probably find it’s a planet! You can get an app to find out which one :)
