    Great video, only suggestion I have for those installing one concerns the backboard installation. In lieu of using my pickup, we rented a Drywall lift for $35 and was able to complete the installation with 2 people to steady the board when lifted and one to the install the bolt. Saved our backs.

    I’d like to thank you for this video!!! It really helped me and my son get started on our GS60 assembly!!! Guessing you guys live down south somewhere, we are in upstate NY! The digging was tough!! We hit bedrock at 38” so we were a foot short but I used 4000 psi concrete. Hopefully will hold up:). Thanks again!!

      Yeah we had a ton of fun digging the hole (not!), we hit rock as well and needed a digging bar to get to the correct depth. It took quite a bit of time...

    Your video was very helpful. Good tips to review in advance! I was well-prepared. I really got lucky and found existing concrete anchor in my yard! Otherwise, I think I would pay $500 for install (going rate in my area of Midwest).

    The foundation is an important part. Would have been nice if it was included

      Yeah, I totally agree. I meant to record that but it took forever to get the hole dug as we ran into rocks about 6 inches below the grass line.

    Great suggestion to use the bed of a pick up truck for a scaffold.

    Nice video. How wife was the hole? Do you use 2x4 to make the box for the hole? Like 16”x16”?
    Thanks

    my actuator isn’t lining up with the lower control arm. no frickin idea what to do

    On the support arms with the single longer bolt thru them. I noticed mine has some gap between the plastic inner washers is this normal or do I tighten it down really hard? I don't wanna bend the metal arm steel inward.

      If you are talking about the bolt at the very top of the pole (I believe it’s bolt #7 in the manual) you should tighten it but not over tighten as it will need to pivot when you raise and lower the goal.

      @godad I have this exact question. Did you ever resolve it? It’s the bolt that goes through the piece that is welded to the square pole. I expected it to be a tight fit with no slop, but there is more than 1/8” which makes me feel that it will lead to backboard wobble.

    • @zr20s
      @zr20s 4 роки тому

      @@dandeveau7716 I ended up buying some thicker nylon washers to close the gap. Then tightened both spots down as tight as i could but without bending the metal exterior arm metal.

      goddad thanks for the quick response!! I plan on doing the same - unfortunately I was looking at the gap while tightening and already bent the square tubing a bit. I assume with the nylon washers filling the gap you have no wiggle now?

    • @zr20s
      @zr20s 4 роки тому +1

      @@dandeveau7716 just a bit of wiggle room but just right imo.
