- Guinea-Bissau is a tropical country on West Africa’s Atlantic coast that’s known for national parks and wildlife. The forested, sparsely populated Bijagós archipelago is a protected biosphere reserve. Its main island, Bubaque, forms part of the Orango Islands National Park, a habitat for saltwater hippos. On the mainland, the capital, Bissau, is a port with Portuguese colonial buildings in its old city center.
The distance from Jegue border to Bissau is about 130km. It takes about 3 and half hours drive due to the poor state of the roads. Which is surprising because along the way there's about 5police stops where you will have to pay for the road at every stop. It's also advisable to have a 4 wheel drive especially during rainy season.
So let's talk a little bit about Guinea Bissau. Did you know that Guinea Bissau official language is Portuguese but is spoken by only about 11% of the population. The local dialect is creole
2. The main form of foreign exchange is Cashew nuts. Some people call it the cashew coast of Africa
3. 80% of the population is employed in Agriculture with cashewnuts be in my the major two ethnic groups being Fulani being at 28% and balanta at 23%,

Hi I’m from Guinea-Bissau I live in UK just want to say thank you very much for showing Guinea-Bissau to world in a positive way. God bless.
Yes man positive way not like BBC or CNN what they show in TV news

Hi, I'm also from Guine Bissau 🇬🇼🙏🏾. I live in UK as well 👋🏾💜... let's be friends ❣️
Viva guiné Bissau nha Terra
Africa Tigress many blessings will be showered down you because of your unselfish and giving spirit. The way you have taken this young man under your wing and exposed him to access another stream of income is so loving and black. You are a phenomenal woman indeed.
You are welcome Drucella
Thank you so much. He has been very helpful to us . And he is always happy to help . I hope he succeeds
Amen she has a beautiful heart!!!!!
wow..... inspiring
My country has potencial to be a good country to live and to go holidays .It has great location due to the cost next Atlantic Ocean but unfortunately we only have bad leaders .They literally don’t provide anything to the population and build the infrastructure. However ,thank you for this beautiful video ,I miss my country .❤️❤️
We all miss our continent Africa. No place like home ooo!!!!.
Africa is blessed and beautiful with amazing land, resources, people and attraction
Extremely terrible leaders. They can't even fix the roads. That's terrible!
Beautiful country, my daughter show the world how Africa is becoming more beautiful
AWWWW...amazing
Portugal makes sure they underdevelop Guinea Bissau, despite having small population.
This country Guinea Bissau will be ideal for expats ,very green, nature reserve lands, less crimes and beautiful culture.
No
@@jusa4225 I'm from there Portugal isn't the problem. It's senegal
@@Badjuda both countries
Beautiful neighborhood, just wish the roads were paved.
Me too.
Yes nice houses the roads need TLC no good having nice houses and and the roads in a state. From what I have seen about Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼 in the videos posted some of the roads in the County need updating.
I think the neighborhood is fairly new.
The roads are under construction it's a new Neighborhood.
call my country Trinidad we sell the asphalt to pave roads.
Nice houses, but for a rich neighborhood. That road must be paved. And too much trash.
True
With good roads, that neighbourhood will be awesome. They can use interlocking tiles for the roads- it's cheaper, easier to maintain and drains well too....maybe the residents can pool resources to do that cos in Africa you can't rely too much on govt to do everything as most African govts suck....
With more development, the country can be promoted as a tourism hub for West Africa, as it's beautiful and peaceful with friendly locals
Your Kora music finally reached home
Lol! Right!
It's more like in da African culture to always embrace n worship da rich, dat's why, Africa will always be equal to ZERO...i'm sorry but dat's da way it is...
African Governments with their neglected road infrastructure SMH.
That soil tells a completely different story. Africa is blessed ❤
As Gambian I will build my dream home in Bissau
Sure go ahead 💯
Why not. What ever makes you happy and fulfill.
THAT'S the spirit
The houses are nice and big, once they pave the roads, the neighborhood will look much more upscale. The people of Guine Bissau are very beautiful,I am loving the Portuguese accent, they sound almost like Mozambicans or Brazilians when they speak English with their accent.
Girl you are killing it ! I just love you. You are an angel 😇. I never new there were places like that over there. I'm out of America in the next 3 to 5 years. They are killing us here. Now that I know I have a home, Guinea Bissau 🇬🇼, here I come.
WELCOME home sis
There many countries in Africa to consider. Do not put your eggs in one basket
@@rohaaniidaalii9758 You are correct, but Bissau will be first, and home based. My DNA leads to Guinea Bissau 🇬🇼. I will definitely check out other countries. Like my husband's birth country of Nigeria 🇳🇬❤
@@euniceadepoju6730 ok good luck and welcome to Africa.
Welcome home
What a hot mess when it rains? So much mud and no sidewalks. Also, where would one work to afford the upkeep on such a huge house? How much is each house?
The houses were built by people who are either wealthy or work hard enough to build them so no need to pay rent because they belong to the owners.
Lol those owner are wealthy people ,they are not renting the house at all, they most likely pay cash ,that’s how a lot of wealthy people do in Africa .
I hope these house were not built with the money budgeted for roads ! African countries where ministers seem to earn more than the President of America and there are no roads , electricity or water, but these ministers children attend the most expensive schools in London!
This country seems far from development. A lot still needs to be done. I wish GB all the best.
From the looks of it, wealthy there live like the wealthy in many other places. They have beautiful construction on between 1/4 to 2 acres. I prefer to have a home built in the middle of a 5-10 acre plot.
Same but I don't mind property in front of the ocean
The homes would look way better also if the outside of the compounds were paved, lighted and manicured.
@@AFRICANTIGRESS hahaha you like sweet world.
Wowww i'm moving to Bissau I 'm in love😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Am loving Guinea Bissau those houses clearly tells alot about the people's determination. I have however to call out the Guinea Bissau Government! For heaven sake how much would a road cost just to provide one to the biggest taxpayers in the country?? How expensive is it to build a road in Guinea Bissau? Get rid of those Portuguese and French puppets! Small towns Like Malindi which rank 14th to 20th in Kenya have way better infrastructure. Even more surprising is that the President's mother lives there. This is disappointing I must say! That said, I love the house designs, with better infrastructure that neighborhood can be an amazing place to live.
HI PAUL! Long time! You said all .I just didn't feel like writing today.
It's not unusual to have unpaved roads in the cities in West Africa. It's not good but that's just how they operate.
@@doreenonekalit9888 Thanks Doreen
The roads look bad but let's don't jump to conclusion cos we don't know the situation of the country. Maybe the govt is broke so no money to build roads and other infrastructure. Some of these French and Portuguese former colonies are being held back by their former colonisers.
....I believe the country will grow with time bcos it looks like a place with a lot of potentials
@@nigerdeltamirrortv9311 I agree.
But for how long this is 2021
Hi African tigress!! if an Angolan,a Mozambiquan & a Guinean Bissaun met they would easily communicate since they all speak Portuguese ,also thanks for showing Us its beautiful!! and colorful & those trees are everywhere are they palm trees? also have you tried their food? is it too spicy or nah
100% respect to Mr. Anastacio...I also notice y'all passed my father house 🏠 in alto bandin..Damm yall lit 🔥
super nice The houses in guinea bissau 🇬🇼 are beautiful 👍🏼
yeah
I'd like to see more about the civil infrastructure that exist in Country, how it's distributed, who builds it, how connected it is throughout the country. By civic infrastructure I mean water & sewage grids and systems, electricity grids for streetlights, communities and "compounds". Not as criticism, necessarily, but as a way of introducing some of the real opportunity that exist for that kind of skill and talent.
Non existent public infrastructure...Very poor roads, schools, hospitals..Most of those houses are owned by people who are supposed to be public servants, but serve themselves instead...
I would like to know this as well
Bars all over every window, highwalls, no grass, dirt roads, curious about sewage drainage and treatment. It great to see the Big homes but is this where the average working person lives? Show the lifestyles of the daily working person
The music is 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🤗
The authorties here seem to have a phobia for paved roads.
I like theirs music guitar 🎸👌🏽 beautiful country and very known rich a lot of resources but the France 🇫🇷 profit of its wake up all Africa’s country’s people’s 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✌🏽👏🏽

i love the homes but i really love your choice of music
I am loving Guinea-Bissau!

Is nice to visit but the true we have problems in the country the road are not good schools too is my country thanks for visit
Every country has problems Buba. But still be proud of your country and work hard to make it better.
Another great episode. Down for wherever in Africa you choose to take me.
I can well imagine what the roads look like after heavy rains... Have fun !
I’m curious as to how the land is developed BEFORE the houses are built. What is under the ground: PLUMBING, drainage etc. Is there an Urban Planner/ Engineer? What are the steps taken before land is considered buildable?
Yes there is an urban planner and engineer and most of the big company in West Africa are there right.. They don't make noise but bessau guinnean are getting Rich just the gouvernement needs to step up a bit !!
Very nice homes, like the palm trees around . Yes I could wish to stay it's soo cool ❤🙏
I love Palm trees too. They also have mangoes

I loved it!! Not too many bloggers go to Guinea bissau. But what's the difference from Guinea Bissau and Guinea
The difference between Guinea Bissau and Guinea Conackry is the colonizer. Guinea Bissau speak Portuguese while Guinea Conackry speak French. There's more similarity between the people than differences

Since I'm not a city person, my home wil b build in d middle of 10 acres of land/ocean/river side. Asè
