True. Lenin is pretty much a one trick pony, but it's a pretty good trick. What this ship gives you is the ability to approach a target at around a 30-40 degree angle and shrug off hellfire and damnation. Once you move outside that parameter, you run into trouble. Bigly. It's an interesting ship, but keep in mind the Russians rejected this design very early on in the lengthy development of what became Sovetsky Soyuz.

Great video, really love the Lenin, got her from the original event, thought she was going to be rare and I wanted in. I've had great games in her, but some really bad ones too. The Massachusetts, my home state, and right down Route 3A where she was built, is a beauty. When I want a no muss, no fuss battleship game I take out Big Mammie. Secondaries, accuracy, good reload, great torp protection, fairly quick and nimble. What's not to love? The Massachusetts B is beautiful as well. Next ship should be ...Kronshtadt. Still a solid top 3 since it came out, as you know JB is still my number 1 pick but Massachusetts and Lenin are the only 2 ships i can argue with, what's fun is that those 3 are the best BBs since 3 years, my opinion but a lot of players think the same about either one of those 3
Ive been playing for 2 years and bought massa with gxp and i would say she is very strong. The one thing im not a huge fan of is the short main battery range with a full secondary build at 17km but its not a huge issue a lot of the time. The other downside of massa is low accuracy but thats what plotting room is for
As someone with over 2mil elite xp on the Lenin, Galler accuracy/dpm output build is by far the best build to use, but anyhow I can see the gripes and issues with it, especially with the turret health. Lenin prob isn’t the top of the food chain but easily a top 3 bb at tier no question
I stopped playing for a month and came back to a massive free package and in 2 of the boxes was an Asashio and a Marlborough, woohoo... also I love the Massachusetts . one of my favorite secondary build ships...laser accurate secondaries

THIS is exactly my thoughts of Lenin, i always put it below JB and at the same level of Massachusetts and this video shows us exactly why, sure people will say "but JB blablabla" doesn't change the fact its still the best performing tier 7, anyway i never find the differences between Lenin and Vladi to be that much worth it in comparison to Iowa vs Massachusetts, but the citadel is a trap like i've never seen, you're bulletproof and suddenly you're dead, unlike Mass, Vladi imo still takes the cake of the most survivable one tho Anyway still glad you got it even though it wasn't free, and i don't feel bad getting Kirisame and later Ohio for 20 bucks personaly 😂

Out of about 150 crates, I pulled 40 ships super prize ships I pulled Lenin, yoshino, San Diego, belfast, ochakov, and kirisame alls I wanted was Musashi and Marlborough and yoshino I got that one and pulled every tier 8 but the 2 I was after

I've been thinking about getting the Massa with global XP but I already have the Alabama which I really like a lot. It seems to me that they are pretty close to the same ship with the exception of the secondaries. Do you think I should get the Massa with Global Xp or is there another global ship that you really like?
Alabama is my favorite ship in the game and I would still say that Massa is worth the gxp. However Monarch is also great if you haven't picked her up yet
Honestly one could point to PG for some of the better opinions on Lenin aside from general word of mouth. But it’s interesting to hear someone else’s take on this super prize ship. Been curious on if I should go for Lenin or just invest to get Vladivostok. Now I know my answer!
I usually always try to present my viewers with the most economical choice...(Massa > Lenin). I don't want to hype a ship that can only be attained through gambling. That's irresponsible as a content creator i feel like. Thanks for the comment! Take care
I’ve had the Lenin since it came out, and played a lot of Massa. I largely agree, but there is a bit of a difference. Lenin is a much more aggressive boat. Enough armor to not get shredded by cruisers, good speed, super accurate in close range, and great maneuverability/gun angles. Massa is much more defensive. Better accuracy at range, secondaries to help light fires and target DDs, great turn circle, and much better torp reduction. I’m always a very aggressive player, so it suits me more. But Massa is equally as good in its own role as Lenin is.
Hey Derka, have you played Vanguard recently ? Im finding the accuracy to be the best I've ever seen after building into it with iachino and Cunningham with AL Nelson. You should try it sometime on stream.
Im pretty sure Lenin can fire from autobounce which is something not many ships in the game can do. Thankfully im not a smelly greasy mouth breathing bb main so they all burn the same to me 😊

The superprizes definitely aren't worth it when you consider the odds, but the crates in general are still the best deal every year, with or without stacking the massive discount on gold from Black Friday or the current 90 day gold subscription, where you can get gold at over 500 per dollar compared to the best possible usual rate of 313.33 g/dollar with the US$150 pack. Out of 95 level 3s, I've pulled 10 T6-T8 ships including the Jean Bart and Republique -- but I only outright purchased about 70 of those, all at a good discount, with the remainer coming from crate upgrades, doubloon rewards from crates, etc. Even if the superprizes weren't on the drop table, I'd still recommend the Xmas crates for anyone who wants to spend on the game versus buying a ship outright -- the only thing as bad as gambling for ships is paying full MSRP for a ship that will be on sale a few months later.

Ive been absolutely dumping on and burning down JB and Lenins recently with Monarch and Vanguard. Ive had some interesting mail! I think the problem is JB and Lenin have such an unrealistic reputation created around them. That people have been convinced that if they get them, they'll become some invincible bb force. Whilst still doing the same bad bb plays (bow tanking) etc.
Lenin was only cool when it was rare. Now that all these potatoes have it it’s completely lost it’s appeal. Not to mention is super squishy and has French like weak turrets
Personally While lenin is good I never take it into battle.. dont know why... i guess its because Russian BBs just so Specialized and with all the HE and Planes it is rough
People don't want these ships because they are the best. They want them because they are rare. It was the same thing with the Kii. Everyone cried they wanted it and then soon as bunch of people were able to get it you never heard about it again. You don't even see anyone play it anymore.
Youre so lucky ahhh. Crates have not been kind to me 😔. 40 crates so far and I got Ashitska which i would rather sell then actually play, and duca daosta plus a duplicate tirpitz. And not a single lvl 5 crate in sight.
I ground out Lenin in the original event and noticed that it was good but not OP like everyone claimed. From my experience the people who always claimed it was OP were the people who didn't have it and couldn't accurately judge its strengths and weaknesses. Their sample size came from a single, or handful, of times being dev struck by it. But that's not exclusive to Lenin, they just noticed it because it WAS Lenin. I get twice as many dev strikes in my Vanguard than I ever have in Lenin but nobody is out there calling Vanguard OP (spoiler alert, she low key kinda is 😂)
Every time I see a Lenin I just always go for the guns since they have less armor then the American battleships and more easier to knockout/disable and it's a weak spot to Russian battleships
ive had many a good game in lenin ive also had more bad games in lenin the only thing i like about her is the more consistent guns versus vladi and sovetsky soyuz just wish we had better soviet BB commanders just having a chonky ship isnt enough anymore
I bought around 60 crates and got Lion as super price. In fact I got around 10 ships out. First Christmas I got lucky and I have to admit I love lion insanely. That ship is unkillable and has a really strong punch. Its almost perfect. She has everything you need, that HP pool is just insane, Combined with the trolly armor
I’ve found that I’ve been having great games in massa recently, and I’m sick of Lenin’s in every single game. Yes I understand it’s a super prize, but what super prize shows up every single game 🙄
I put about 60 to 70 in this got Georgia/mainz and a few other goodies but still feel I wasted my money Quite happy that I've limited myself and have self control. I could of gotten nothing like not getting even 1 ship for the 29 buck bundle thing

I opened idk like 25 lvl 3 crates I got 1 t5 crate and a Dunkerque which I had the B version already and a boise

My lenin can't hit anything past 8km anymore ive had it since it came out. Honestly it's the limited damage cons and the turrets get knocked out easy

I think the problem is JB and Lenin have such an unrealistic reputation created around them. That people have been convinced that if they get them, they'll become some invincible bb force. Whilst still doing the same bad bb plays (bow tanking) etc.

Lenin was only cool when it was rare. Now that all these potatoes have it it’s completely lost it’s appeal. Not to mention is super squishy and has French like weak turrets

Personally While lenin is good I never take it into battle.. dont know why... i guess its because Russian BBs just so Specialized and with all the HE and Planes it is rough

People don't want these ships because they are the best. They want them because they are rare. It was the same thing with the Kii. Everyone cried they wanted it and then soon as bunch of people were able to get it you never heard about it again. You don't even see anyone play it anymore.
They're rare because they're good. Not being re-released for sale or GXP because of their over performance in most cases (JB, Lenin, Lion)

I ground out Lenin in the original event and noticed that it was good but not OP like everyone claimed. From my experience the people who always claimed it was OP were the people who didn't have it and couldn't accurately judge its strengths and weaknesses. Their sample size came from a single, or handful, of times being dev struck by it. But that's not exclusive to Lenin, they just noticed it because it WAS Lenin. I get twice as many dev strikes in my Vanguard than I ever have in Lenin but nobody is out there calling Vanguard OP (spoiler alert, she low key kinda is 😂)
Lol... the Vanguard was my tier 7 after the game released! Still awaiting another buff.... as in a plane slot!

Massie has been one of my favorite T7 ships since it came out. Brawling as a US ship is very fun especially with accurate secondaries

Every time I see a Lenin I just always go for the guns since they have less armor then the American battleships and more easier to knockout/disable and it's a weak spot to Russian battleships

ive had many a good game in lenin ive also had more bad games in lenin the only thing i like about her is the more consistent guns versus vladi and sovetsky soyuz just wish we had better soviet BB commanders just having a chonky ship isnt enough anymore

I bought around 60 crates and got Lion as super price. In fact I got around 10 ships out. First Christmas I got lucky and I have to admit I love lion insanely. That ship is unkillable and has a really strong punch. Its almost perfect. She has everything you need, that HP pool is just insane, Combined with the trolly armor
