- Vince Gill's Fan Club Party - June 7, 2012. Vince tells the hilarious story of how he and Rodney Crowell wrote and made the video for "It's Hard to Kiss the Lips at Night that Chew Your A$$ Out All Day Long." He then sings the song to the amusement of his Fan Club.
i don't know which is better, the song or his comments.
He is a great story teller and in my opinion it is coming from his within. In my book, he could do no wrong. The word is usually very offensive to me and have never used it myself but, for some reason, when he sings it it does not bother me at all. Maybe because I am a die hard fan? I just love his character as much as his brilliant tallent he has. Besides I love his guitar playing this song.
I love how him being mistaken for Alan Jackson is a running gag in his stories. 😂
Love to sing this one now and again at my gigs.

Yes, I heard you say at the Fan Club Party that you traveled 22 hours to see Vince. I hope you had a great trip! Have you ever been to one of his concerts? I especially enjoyed his Christmas concert with Amy and Jenny.

I was there and he was amazing and SO funny. Worth every mile travelling from Denmark.
I saw Vince for the first time at a County Fair in Centervillr, MI in 2003. He was even better than I had exprcted.
I Got to meet him and almost fainted. LOL
Then my daughter and I went to the show he did with Alison Krauss in Franklyn TN in 2006. Got it at a DVD from a friend of mine who taped it from the TV.
In 2008 I saw him in WIS with a meet & greet. Fantastic to meet him again.
And now the Fan Club Party which was a Big Dream of mine.
