I’m so happy to see a Latina talking about generational wealth. It’s so rare to hear in the Latin community

As someone who grew up dirt poor... What you will need is help and lots of it. Help from teachers, coaches, public facilities, scholarships, job opportunities, etc.

This is why I look at ppl like they're crazy when they throw these Big 1st birthdays for their kids and take them to do expensive things before the age of 5, and buy name brand clothes items for babies. They aren't gonna remember it!!!!! Save that money!!!!!

Her energy is that of an auntie that giving to you straight after you've been running your life for years and you're on your last strike. I love it.

She is extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to the topic. I also grew up in a low-income house, so everything she said was true. It's nice to hear advice from someone that's not patronizing even when they mean well

That last tip especially about budgeting weekly instead of monthly is brilliant! I go through that cycle like every other month but maybe I can break that cycle by budgeting weekly 💃

Born and raised in the inner city, the lack of knowledge/information out there is crazy. Financal literacy is necessary to open up your future options. These were all good points

This video is spot on! I also grew up in a low income family and feel the whole wanting to have a better life now that I am in middle class. I don’t drive a fancy car or go shopping for fun and was able to put a healthy down payment on my first home recently thanks to my frugality.

The stock market is scary when we dont know where to start and the use of new terminology is super intimidating, even to me and I'm an educated person. Putting it into terms and comparing it to every day terms and situations would be so so helpful. Hand holding through this to test the waters is definitely needed, Especially for low income people and families. I know because I too grew up as low income and still find myself having this same mindset at times😣 scared to try new things.

Her story and background is similar to mine, like that I can relate to the struggles and breaking the cycle from what I grew up with

I love your advice, you’re so knowledgeable and enjoyable to watch. My parents were refugees from Bosnia and Hecergovina in 1997 and they really really struggled especially when I was born in 1998 and my mom became disabled and my dad delivered pizza. Because of my past I learned how to create a good future for myself and my husband. Poverty is very sad and a real issue for so many. Thanks for speaking for us. 💙
