- Wow what a fantastic day it was in the dumpsters! I am so excited to have found the Grayco carseat - I had never found anything at that store before and this was definitely a score!! I am also STOKED about all the pot and pans from BBB, we really have been wanting to buy new skillets for a while, so this was an unexpected dumpster blessing!

YOU SHOULD GO BACK FOR THE LIDS AND REST OF THE STUFF AT BBB. YOU CAN REPAIR THE CUT CORDS OR SELL THEM TO SOMEONE WHO CAN. GREAT FINDS!
Oh Kelly!! Go back and get all the pots and lids if possible. I was yelling get the lids get the lids. You could always sell them at garage sale. I love the lids with glass. That way you can see what your cooking.

The pot with cord cut was an insta-pot. The cord can be replaced. The insert's are for the insta-pot. This is a very expensive pot and fantastic to cook with.

You can repair the cords where the store has cut them. Very easy. Stephensteph retail killers she has a video how to repair cut cords. It is very easy. WD 40 also takes gunk and paint off things. But then you are left with a residue, but soap and water takes that off. Nice finds.

Why would they/stores/companies, spray anything if it's trash? The employees should not say anything to you, it's not theirs, it's trash! One man's trash is another man's treasure!😀

@@pamwalker4327 I think in some cases they spray things or cut clothes so people cant try and return them for money or credit.
If you put the wine glasses in hot water and add any kind of cooking oil over them it removes the spray paint without a hassle

The instapot inserts should sell nicely. I wouldn't advise cooking in them except for in an instapot. Amazing finds!

Double boiling might be an option, or large mixing bowls...toss & serve salad 🥗...let homemade dough rise...there are endless uses for those!

You should go back and get all of those instant pot pieces (red rings, weights, stoppers) They would sell like crazy....AND, You left all the lids for your pots. Awesome haul!
Make sure you scrub that keurig with a bottle brush! There may be some mold in there and you don't need to get sick! Use white vinegar to clean it out!
Just what I was going to say.that. Mix white vinegar with water about 50/50 and pour into the water top, let sit a while and then run it through the system. Run some water through see how it runs and what the water looks like. If lots of particles of white or dark stuff comes out in the water do the whole process again and again if need be. It usual works well after three treatments and gets nice and hot. I will often stop the the liquid half way and let it soak for a couple of hours then rinse it out a couple of times.
@@paulanull8731 also might want to run water through more than once. A very long time ago I was an office manager and thought I should clean their coffee maker...I did this but didn't run enough water through and everyone started spitting out their coffee LOL! It was like...ohhh sorry.

I grabbed some old calendars for crafts. The Yoga dog and cat calendars were so adorable.
The art/photography department at my school likes old calendars for showing different techniques and styles to their students.
Maybe you could carry a box knife with you so you can break down boxes and fit them in the car. I believe it’s the alcohol in the hand sanitizer that gets the paint off. Anolon is a really good brand that they sell at like Macy’s bad well as bbb. Great job!

you need to find lids to fit, sometimes a challenge but check thrift stores or ebay
Leave your back window so you don't have to keep opening the door, its much faster. ;)
And quieter, too!
Don’t set pots inside pots. You’ll scratch the nonstick surface.
Use easy off oven cleaner to remove red paint, spray on rag first , then apply. Works very well
Hair looks really cute ! Great score. When you are at a dive , it may be faster for you if you put your back window down so you can just toss stuff in. Love your dives.
You can take paint off of glass it's easy! Use Dollar store oven cleaner😁 I'm gonna try the hand sanitizer next! Thanks for the awesome tip!

Hand sanitiser works because it contains alcohol, that is what kills the bacteria when you wash your hands.😊
Just a hint Kelly, next time open the other end of the box and fold it flat. You can slip it behind your seats and it won't take up much room. If you don't have a knife, use your keys to split the tape. Use new tape to put it back together at home. Great info on the hand sanitiser. Wow, all those pots were great. Cheers 💙🐨
I used to own a small retail store and I recommend checking the carseat for recalls. You can that online. Most all retail stores are not allowed to resell carseats if they are returned with the box open, because they do not know if it was ever involved in a car crash. They do not want to risk being sued if the carseat is used, involved in another car crash that results in an injury to a child. Just like a bicycle helmet, there can be structural defects that cannot be seen by your eyes.
all those calendars are a junk journalist's HEAVEN. Sell them as crafting supplies.
Great finds. Hope you took the covers for the pots n pans, they’re expensive. I truly hope you took the glasses, otherwise go back n get them, some white vinegar would get the paint off. You could’ve broken the box down to get it in the car. Next time. Stay safe.
Yes those pots and pans are espensive. I would go back the same day to get the rest of it .

Great score, you could sell those Instant pot inserts some people want more than one but I wouldn't use them for anything else (I love my Instant Pot). Stay safe!
I was just going to say the same thing..
You could use them for a large mixing bowl, tossed salad, maybe even a makeshift double boiler...a place for dough to ferment and rise. Endless ways to utilize!
It would never be within me to purposely destroy a perfectly good item that someone could use ( as an employee ) I'd quit the first time I was told to do it ....those calendars are great finds 👍 once I made frames out of several calendar pics ..had a whole wall art thing going on ...great finds today 🌟🌟

I was yelling grab the lids and glasses but I know how scary bed bath and beyond can be with security and employees.😬
Maybe can go back and look for them? Or take measurements and go to thrift stores to get ones that fit. I've found some great lids for my pans doing that...that didn't originally come with them. I like the clear glass ones with the little steam holes in them and the rubber coated handles...those are the best.
You can buy generic lids at homeware stores. I have a couple after breaking the ones that came with my pans 😣
Great score! I would try to go back and get the lids. The car seat is awesome. I know a few stores have certain months that they take car seats and give you $30. So any seats you can't sell, I would wait and take them in!

And that car seat - I do believe since as you pointed out it is within the 10 year timeframe you definitely could resell it. I would advise just checking for any recalls to be sure it wasn't recalled by the manufacturer.
were you able to grab the covers for the cookware? it sells from close to $300. pretty cool since you can also put it in the oven for up to 400 degrees. REALLY nice set!!! LOL I know about the election, i was sick for the whole night...can't wait for it to be over.
Kelly your hubby could easily put a new cord on that instapot/pressure cooker! Go back and get the lids to the pots and pans!
You could always flatten the boxes, then re-tape later.
you can run some white vinegar thru the coffee maker to clean it out and then you should be good to go NICE score on the pots and pans!!
On the car seat just make sure that it hasn’t been RECALLED by the Manufacturer.

If that Keurig turns on but does not brew you should look up on UA-cam how to reset it! I have one and I always have to reset it after not using it for awhile. It takes patience sometimes though because it doesn't always work right away. But it's definatly worth trying! 😊

Great score!!! Yes you can definitely sell the car seat. Just a tip always roll down your back window. That way you can just throw it in without having to open and close door. The less noise you make the better off you are. Love your videos.

I'd be having nighmares for leaving the lids and one piece behind! Instapot I've been wanting also. Really expensive stuff. The 2 sets of brand new wine glasses, red paint just washes right off of glass. I don't understand why if tossing the stuff they insist on doing that?!

Why??? Like I said before I used a carseat from over 10 year for my children and the use them now... nothing wrong with that. Its crazy with all these safety règlements in usa... I dont know why there isn't a note on a pencil that says beware of the point, its sharp... they really forget that people have common sense and have a brain... jeeses...

That spray paint will come right off with Easy Off oven cleaner (brand name). Spray it on and the paint literally wipes off.

I hope you and Alex can use all those pots and pans that instead of spending the money you're saving. That was a gift from the dumpster Gods because they knew you needed them. Especially useful for you now since you figured out how to clean off the red paint so easily.
And with Keurig, save all the needle K-cup inserts! They usually are interchangeable!
The keurig cups can be reused for seed starters. Has a hole in the bottom already, and reusing the used coffee in the garden, is great fertilizer !😍
Kelly, the pot that had the cord cut was an instapot. The lid for the one pot was still in the dumpster. Maybe you can go back and check for that and other things. I have the same frying pan and I use it constantly. It has held up amazingly. Mine still look pretty great.
Anolon is a great brand. I bought 2 different sets about 20 years ago. And I'm still using about half of them now. Dont use them over medium on your stove. They will last a long time.
The old calendars are great for crafts. Glue pictures to cardboard for sewing cards. Numbers, days of the week projects, too. Tina

Have you tried looking into how much it would cost to re wire a lamp and things like that. I think the right place will be able to re place cut cords.
So easy to do yourself. Tons of videos online on "how to". Save the money for something you can't

now it's time to make a baby for that car seat. I seriously think expiration on car seats is more of a scam from manufacturers to ensure that people buy new ones instead of using the same one for each kid in the family

Calenders are great for crafters for Decopage and thats a "Neat trick" for getting off that awful red paint and HOW Insane that they threw out a perfectly good car seat!!! Blows my mind that that do that!!! 🤯 xXx
Crafters are using the small photo of the calendar pages of each calendar for DIY projects! Especially envied are Farmhouse Calendars
Bed bath and beyond should be ashamed of themselves spraying everything... if they don’t want it they should let you have it.... save on the dump and resale is always a plus....
Its all about money. If they donate it or give it away they don't make any money.
I don’t know how their returns work but maybe it’s so ppl cant take them then try to return them for money or credit. And with car seats maybe if it’s returned they can’t resell it? But she got lucky that they sprayed the bag and not the actual seat!
It’s absolutely ridiculous spray painting it !!!! Just leave it in the dumpster. I talked to a warehouse manager and he said they destroy 60%. The employees take a bunch of stuff. He was hiding things outside and he is no longer working there. He hid things for me to get and others and he probably did it to much !!!

Some retail places *force* managers to destroy vs. donating because they’re damaged or recalled, but the places I’ve worked, if things are in good condition, they’re donated for tax exemptions. Not sure about those pots & things (those were fine, just incomplete sets) but I’d double check that the car seat wasn’t recalled or discontinued just to be safe.

Nice finds! Great tip about removing paint with hand sanitizer. Call and order the part for the kurag machine. Go back and get that desk. You can tighten the bolts easily! Phone to make sure the car seat isn't recalled too. Loved watching this video as usual!
Spray paint off anything besides fabric is super easy! Glass and metal are definitely worth taking!! ahhhh. Also just wash that rag and it can be your designated spray paint rag lol
Kelly, Go back and get the box for the car seat. I think you'll get even more for it if you have the box. Oh, and if you do, take another look at the lids that were by the pots and pans. I think they're part of the set. Great score!

Nice find on the pots! Yes the INSTANT POT pot could sell to someone that has an Instant Pot as an extra inset pot! And yes like others have said...be careful when placing pans inside others, you can scratch the coating. The car seat could possibly be a recall so just be careful when selling that (if you are). Keep up the searching for treasures!! love watching/listening to you while I'm working (but that's just between us!!) :)

Where is the grabby thing? Also -- look for instructions on how to properly clean the Keurig. I've heard horror stories about how dirty they get.

You can get the lids at a thrift store! I find used pots and pans all the time! Good thing you waited for to buy
That paint are water base, easy task to clean in plastic or pots.

Great findings Kelly! Wow that Car seat is good another 10 years, great find , you should be able to sell that quick. Calenders, oh boy I have so many different kinds that I found in 2021 and use them for giving out and ,make packages for all my sisters and Momma for all occasions so they have some and use them for scrapbooking also.
