Erin, please do more of these videos! Sometimes with expensive and luxury products, we automatically assume it's the best of the best because of the price but with honest reviews like this, I appreciate them so much more!
Erin, you are young and your hair is still strong and healthy. For young people who can spare to lose some hair from the hot dual bristle brushes and just want the curling barrels attachment, yes, try the Shark. The Shark Flexstyle is basically a combination of the Revlon One Step dual bristle brush and the Dyson curling barrels. For older women with aging, thinning hair like me, the Dyson directional airflow brush heads have been a Godsend. I had lost so much hair from the dual bristle brushes I was afraid to shampoo anymore. The Dyson brushes with the coanda air flow protect the hair and you lose absolutely zero. And it's much more gentle on the hair. And then of course you have the curling barrels which are a bonus. If you've already purchased the Dyson Airwrap and you think you don't need it now, hang on to it. It will be your best friend one day.
I love your honesty. It’s hard to trust fragrance influencers once they become popular because they are now paid advertisers. Thank you! I feel duped by HOS when I see a new “sale” every week.
Yess. Thats why only watch to see whats new in the shops dont trust their reviews at all. The bottles would still be full and they will tell you all sorts of stories about it and tilt the bottle upside down to show the 'dent" 😂. Who is fooling who? And in a few month they declutter that same Amazing fragrance still full to the brim!!😅
Totally agree with you these points except for the K18 which I think is very effective. I think most of the people raving about Dyson received their airwrap for free. And House of Siliage gives me the creeps and it was a big turn off to see all the beauty UA-camrs gushing over them a couple years ago and silent now.😮
You are to be commended for being an honest influencer! HOS marketing strategy of sending copious free products was huge turn off for me. I mostly watched/listened to influencers videos while I do chores so I'm sure I'm not the demographics they target. Anywaysssss keep up the honesty, it is appreciated.
I usually do not leave comments but this video deserves it. Great video, Erin! You expressed your opinion so gracefully and showed plausible reasons for it. With so much consumerism out there, this video came at the right time and it was so refreshing to see it. ❤ xoxo from Australia
The way you speak of HOS, I am feeling about Navitus. It’s not as expensive but it has become sacrilegious to speak ill or critically of these influencer brands. Great video! Thanks for the insight.
I go to the comments section for more authentic Navitus reviews. Because fellow UA-camrs seem like they are either falling over themselves to offer support or stepping on eggshells not to be overly critical. The bigger the channel, the more diplomatic the review...
This is so spot on. Agree wholeheartedly on Chanel skincare and that prices are just crazy. When you are a luxury brand and people who can afford things are shocked at the supermarket, you might need to rethink pricing.
As a woman that can afford luxury cosmetics I truly loved this video and the honesty you shared. If I truly love something I will purchase it, but having this side of reviews makes me want to see more of this type of content. Thank you Erin. ❤
And I was so happy to win your giveaway when you sent a bottle of HOS. :) :) I fell in love with the brand. But I agree, it's waaaay too expensive, they don't give samples, the pricing is haphazard and she doesn't have a good reputation. That being said, I LOVE some of their scents. xoxo
During Black Friday the Dyson was on sale here in Italy and I ended up paying it little over 400€ and today I tried it for the first time and I actually think is amazing and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it 😊
The Dyson Airwrap was my best purchase of 2023. Yes there is a learning curve but my hair has never looked better. The curls last for days and are super bouncy. Even my hair dresser commented on how much softer it is now. I also saved my Ulta points and ended up only spending $30!
How does it feel to be God's favorite?! lol Kidding but I'm so glad it works for you! swear the people who love it always have the best hair too. I really wanted it to work but my hair naturally has texture so without using heat I turn into a frizz ball. I wonder if you would have liked the Shark, have you tried it? xx
@@ErinNicoleTV You know, yes it feels pretty good lol I did figure out that my frizz is almost fully gone when I completely dry my hair, it can’t be left damp at all. And it doesn’t work if I don’t use sections. I have not tried the Shark, but judging from so many reviews I feel like it would work the same!
Hi Erin, thanks for sharing, and sorry to hear about your mom. I am 53, i have never had botox, or any lift, I have no wrinkles, no crows feet. I use to use Estee Lauder when i was in my 20s, 30s and 40s. I now use Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury and drink lots of water. I use the Chanel Le life and also the Sublimage. These products work for me at 53, no wrinkles, nice smooth face, no pimples, dark spots. I guess it's just good genes.
Erin, this is so refreshing. Lately I’ve been side eyeing many of my favorite UA-camrs wondering if commission is motivation. But this video reaffirms your honesty & integrity. So thank you! One other thing, do you have any opinions on the Chanel Le Blanc skincare line?
I've only ever seen people talk about HOS if it was gifted to them and that really tells you everything. That's very interesting about the Chanel skincare. Great video 💙
Thank you for your honesty. I have spent a lot of money on fragrances and I’m starting to feel over it because the prices are ridiculous and the scent isn’t all of that. I just purchased HOS Wonder Woman but I definitely bought it half price. I don’t think HOS fragrances are worth almost 400 dollars. I have started buying the Middle Eastern dupes and they smell high end and amazing. Love your content because you’re not shoving products in our faces.
Very valid list. This year I splurged on the Dyson hairdryer because my Paul Mitchell one died. While the Dyson dries my hair, it does not help me style my hair as nicely. I recently was feeling like I hate my hair lately and chalked it up to aging but then thought, I haven’t really cared for how my styles have come out since getting the dryer. My hair is much frizzier too.
Really enjoyed this video. I don’t have the Airwrap but I just got the Dyson hair dryer and I love it. I have wavy hair that can easily get frizzy and the Dyson is great. I was always turned off by HOS - seemed gimmicky from the beginning.
Must strongly disagree about Sublimage. First, you can now buy the refill for $390. And you don't have to use every single Sublimage product. I am almost 64 and for about 15 years I have used the Texture Supreme along with the LeLift serum with grest results. Last winter I decided to switch to the LeLift creme(regular not the pro line) and after a few months was very unhappy with my complexion. Switched back and my skin is beautiful and glowing. Please don't opt for surgery, just look at how various celebrities have ruined their looks with surgery. Look at Linda Gray at 83, aging gracefully, she looks great albeit with some lines. I see so many young women starting way too early with various procedures: don't. Sunscreen and good mousturizers are really all you need.
I think genetics plays a big part in how you will look at old age. My grandmother was born in 1945, right after WWII in Europe, life was harder, poor for a long time and she never had to use even a $10 moisturizer 🤣she used regular thick cream from a pharmacy, she is 79 now and has like two mimic wrinkles on forehead and no wrinkles on cheeks.
Disagree. Surgery will give you the best results, some cream is not gonna do shit, maybe for the first 15 mins after you put it on it will plump or illuminate you skin but it fades fast and you’re back to where you started. There are tasteful ways to have surgery, yes some celebrities go crazy but maybe you would too if you were always in the public eye and judged solely based on looks.
Hi, me again. Do you know how rare it is to talk to someone who swears by Sublimage. everyone I know writes it off, for a million reasons, but I swear since I have started using this my skin has stopped aging. I am so glad to meet a fellow die hard fellow sublimage fan. Lots of love from Glasgow, UK ❤❤❤❤.
I think part of it is you have to use it for a time before you can really comment. Plus other things we do to our skin factor in along with genetics as well. And of course to each their own preference. Things like chemical peels and microneedling make me shudder but everyone has to look at it and decide for themselves. If it works for you that's great. We are all unique.
Let me issue a great big ol' THANK YOU for this video. I agreed with your choices and the rationale for your opinion. The exception, for me, is K18 because it worked well when I recently experienced severe breakage. However, my reason for appreciating this vid is not because I had similar experiences. Your willingness to honestly review products that are popular but may not present the best bang for the buck (value) is so helpful. It is easy to be "influenced" by those you watch so their credibility is vital. Choosing integrity over gifted products = my continued support of your channel!
Great video and list, Erin. Really appreciated your honesty about certain brands and products. Especially, your views on skincare. My cousin has the Dyson Airwrap. While she loves it, her hair never actually seems to look good. My sister has the Shark Flexwrap, and convinced me to purchase the new Sharper Image version. Which is a fraction of the price of the Dyson, and so far is amazing.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the products. So true everyone has their opinions on products for different reasons. I personally like hearing other peoples thoughts even if they are different than my own. Helps me gain many perspectives.
K18 is amazing. You can use a leave in conditioner after 4 minutes. I use the Milkshake leave in conditioner and my hair is so soft with both products combined.
Thank you for this video; I enjoyed every minute and appreciate your candor in regard to the quality/benefits of many trending items being pushed through content. You rock Erin and you look beautiful as usual.👏
Very good and informative video. Keep with your honesty because many many people goes for what’s so popular or some cases like Chanel how ridiculous it’s paying those prices, when we can really find amazing beauty products in the market. ❤
Erin, love your honesty on the various products. I do love the Dyson blow dryer. I tried the Dyson Air Straightener and it didn’t work for me. I ended up going back to my T3 straightener. I agree with you on the HOS it was very hyped up in the beginning but now I don’t hear much about them or see influencers talking about them. Great video!! 😊❤️
Yes!! I very much appreciate the advice. I have tried the LeLift Pro line from Chanel, have noted how expensive the Sublimage skincare is, and it does make me question the Science when we do know so much about 'actives' these days! Also the tips on brushes, LED masks, other beauty tools, and fragrance are all super helpful. Thank you!! ❤💞❤
So glad you’re advising against the micro-needling from home. The biggest problem being too many people who don’t do it correctly, safely or sanitarily. It’s far better to go to a clinic/spa to have the service done.
I am glad I don't have the money to spend on such luxury items. But on a much smaller scale, I would say popular/hyped products like it Cosmetics CC cream, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, and Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse multi-purpose oil did not work for me and I really disliked using them. We need more videos like this, especially during the holiday season with so many sales and everyone recommending products left and right. It can be very tempting. Thank you so much for doing such a video.
Agreed! The Air Wrap is overhyped, and does not work...especially on waist-length long hair. It was already $500 at the time, and then I had to buy the separate barrels for long hair. The only way I can even remotely use it is on dry hair that I spray with water -- with a lot of hair, if you start damp hair as Dyson advises, it just won't get dry. But even then, I can never get the bottom of my hair to wrap around the barrels. So if you have curly hair like I do, all you get is the air blowing your hair all over the place while you try to get the ends to lock and coil around the bottom. ***If Dyson didn't give all their new products for free to influencers, they'd never have the "fan base" online that they do.
I was thinking about how shocking it is that a brand convinced us that a $600 hair tool was a "must have", I really don't know how it became so normal and mainstream to own an Airwrap. It just takes wayyyy too long to style my hair it too. I love my Dyson Blow Dryer but the Airwrap has been collecting dust lol xx
Very well said Erin! I am in total agreement with your thoughts on House of SIllage. If I pay full price for one of their fragrances and a few months later I see it at 50% off, why would I then buy again at full price. Also, makes one wonder if the fragrance I just paid top dollars for is really worth what I paid for or the discounted value. Also, very true on the PR products and the influencer's collution of unbiased reviews. One house that is following House of Sillage steps is Navitus Parfums and their PR with You Tube enfluencers collaboration. I think these parfume houses are finding a niche market due to the ever increasing prices of most niche fragrances. Will it be a sustainable strategy over the long run? Time will tell.
Loved this video I bought a Dyson hairdryer and ended returning it as it didn’t work for me, and for the price I couldn’t keep it. I find a lot of makeup , even drug store makeup prices are ridiculous! Especially here in Canada!!
Just a bit of help on the K18 - shampoo, towel dry a lot of moisture out while in the shower. Apply K18 to damaged areas and (this is important), don't use more than 4 pumps for your whole head. Three pumps are better. Leave on the full 4 minutes (I clip my hair up in the shower to avoid random water getting in). THEN, apply your regular conditioner, leave in as you normally would, then rinse. After 4 minutes, the K18 doesn't rinse out. I hated it too before learning of this method. You might want to try it if you still have the product. This method makes a HUGE difference.
I love K18! I usually wash my hair at night, apply k18 (once a week), let it air dry and I style it in the morning. My hair is soft and frizz free when I get up. All I do to style it is curl with my T3 curler. When I wash it in the morning I dry it to about 80-90% then finish drying with the dyson and my hair is so much shiny than when only using my hair dryer. I think both are outstanding products.
Hi Erin, I enjoy watching your videos. I find them to be so informative. I appreciate your honesty with these lux products. I wanted to purchase HOS Whispers collection however, after watching your video, I have changed my mind. Thank you so much for your honest insight! Please post more of these types of videos. ❤️
I don’t own the Dyson airwrap but I do own the blow dryer and it has truly enhanced my hair game! I was considering purchasing the airwrap so it’s good to hear your opinion on it.
The Dyson dryer is amazing, I wouldn't trade it for anything! I haven't tried any of the other hot tools but for the Airwrap, I think the Shark for half the price is the only move. Or I could see maybe looking on ebay or FB marketplace. It's just too hot or miss to pay full price IMO xx
I just got my first House of Sillage Fragrance as they just started selling globally without the ridiculous delivery charge they had. I got Hufflepuff. I looked into their other fragrances and I only liked this when I read the notes. It is Beautiful and does feel luxurious. However, I do understand what you mean. If someone payed the full price and it goes on offer, it's not a nice experience. But now a days I usually wait for an offer rather than paying the full price. It's mostly because the full prices fragrance houses try to sell for, are just ridiculous. No perfume would cost that much to create. Also, I agree, I am now a bit careful when I listen to recommendations from some influencers as I have burnt myself before. There were instances that I have tried some fragrances they've recommended and I got nothing but a very common scent. Erin, I miss your fragrance videos.
This was such a good video. I loved hearing your comments and opinions on all of these luxury brands...... a very interesting and well thought out video. :)
Agree 100% with airwrap and K18. I hate both!😂 I had major hairloss because of the airwrap, it made my hair superdry and tangled. Lots of hair falling out, and the curls didn’t hold at all.. my worst purchase so I decluttered it. The K18 is not working for me either..
Hufflepuff by house of sillage is one of my favorite fragrances releases of the year though. And Minnie Mouse, great scents. But I agree, they should just make all of their fragrances $250, & call it a damn day.
Hi, Nicole!!! I always waiting for your new videos, you are amazing!!! And than you for your pre work with videos!!! One thing I want to ask, did you ever try perfume brand “ Bond 9”??? It based in NY, I have couple of their perfumes, it very nice, but I know some I don’t like it. If you will have chance to review these pert, i guess a lot of people will be appreciative Thank you
Erin, thank you so much for your honesty. You are so right about luxury products that turn sour almost immediately after they launch!!! Have a great rest of your week! When you mentioned the Green Hills Mall you are talking about the one in Nashville, Tn. right? I am asking because my daughter and her family live there and we shop at Green Hills almost every time we visit. Did Tonya Jovanov work in the Chanel Boutique when you were there? She is my Chanel SA.
One thing you’re 💯 correct about is that at-home treatments cannot be matched up by clinical procedures. Or sometimes are not even safe- as with needle rollers…. All those devices and exorbitantly expensive creams will not replace a visit to your trusted dermatologist… and skincare has to be consistent: if you choose a super expensive skincare line, you have to stick to it, it’s a commitment… LED masks - I am still not even slightly convinced that they even do anything…. Good skincare (it can be luxury- but not insane- or medical grade or a combination or the two); healthy diet, sufficient sleep, sports, fresh air and even occasional visits to your dermatologist- this is it, the rest are expensive marketing traps, if you ask me….
There is no such thing as a free lunch for sure. I feel just like you about HOS. Have none of them, have been curious about one or two but you said it - it does feel gimmicky to me too. Thanks for this video. I do disagree on the air wrap, I totally love it, but to each its own ❤
I needed to hear about the Sublimage. I’m loving their eye serum, but definitely contemplating $325 price point. I have lot of aging issues, may be I should get medical grade cream now.
HOS is garbage. They were overhyped way back when and I believe you when you say not one influencer spend a penny of their own money on that brand. It became a joke and the scents are nothing unique. Very disappointed with the few purchases I made.
I love my airwrap! But I think my hair type and style preference is also ideally suited to the airwrap. It's definitely not for everyone! I bought it with points otherwise I probably wouldn't have got it... But now that i have it and have had such great results I would definitely buy it again with cash, it's actually changed my life haha my hair looks great all the time now and i can do styles other than deadpan straight or my natural curl! Everyone's hair is so different though so important to realise it won't work for everyone!
I must admit, I gave all of my PathbMc Grath palettes away as I never used them. I love them but they are somewhat too big, to sparkly, I prefer ND ,TF, and other brands with midi palettes and smaller palettes. As for niche perfume, I must have spent over 40 000$ in perfumes and I deeply regret. Thsi is a mortagedeposit for a house, CRAZY! Now I am selling them and keep lower than 100 which is already too much. UA-cam is quite dangerous I must say for people that are deeply emotional and has compulsive behavior.
I appreciate these videos! I have super sensitive skin and received le lift samples with makeup purchases and was amazed at the difference and I was using Dior skin care prior so still high end. I very promptly switched to le lift line for skincare!!
I agree with you! Dyson air-wrap is not a good product. It takes too long and when you get it done, the curls fall easily. I also agree on the other products. 👍
What do you think about the sublimage le teint? I appreciate it’s good for sensitive skin even with fragrance! Just wish it was cruelty free. Love your honesty in these vids always ❤
Erin I cannot agree with you more about the Dyson Airwrap. I have been a hair stylist for a very long time, I do not think this machine is user friendly at all and takes WAY more time to style your hair. And the price?! NO. I have not tried the Shark version yet. Thanks for your honest opinions-much appreciated! ❤
Thanks for sharing your opinions good or not-so-great. I would skip on the Shark Flexstyle. The sound it makes is truly awful and the cool button does not work. I did like that it is a full fledged hair dryer. Perhaps once they work out some of the issues it would be a great find, but for now I recommend skipping it! I rarely hear about House of Sillage anymore. It seemed special at first but then there were so many releases and what happened to the makeup?
Agree about Dyson, was thinking of getting it for a long time and after watching numerous videos I just couldn’t see myself spending so much time blow drying hair and I wouldn’t even use all of those attachments. A lot of products are overhyped because influencers are getting them for free. I bought that Natasha Denona concealer and Givenchy powder that I ended up returning.Natasha Denona concealer creased and was patchy, Givenchy powder was not matter but rather blurring.
Hi Erin, Thanks for sharing your experiences and opinions. I appreciate your honesty and agree with your points.❤ I don't know why anyone should need pitchforks against such a kind of video 😂
Erin, please do more of these videos! Sometimes with expensive and luxury products, we automatically assume it's the best of the best because of the price but with honest reviews like this, I appreciate them so much more!
I love your honesty about luxury. Sometimes luxury IS just waste
This honesty towards HOS and brands getting way over in their heads is totally appreciated! ✨
Yeah, I'm disappointed in HOS, too. Well said, Erin. It needed to be said. Ty for being so real and honest. ❤

Erin what a lovely products and I clicked so fast you are my inspiration and I wish you have a best week ahead💕💫😀

LOVED this video! And girl the HOS did the same thing to me 😂 I'm totally fine with it as well. I'd rather be honest and have my credibility ❤🎉❤🎉
And this is exactly why you are the best youtuber!
I appreciate your honesty and trust your reviews 100%
Love you!🤗
Great video Erin! So true.. so glad you spoke on this!❤
That was the best video I've seen for a long time .thank you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻especially the perfume section..
Very good and informative video. Keep with your honesty because many many people goes for what’s so popular or some cases like Chanel how ridiculous it’s paying those prices, when we can really find amazing beauty products in the market. ❤
I’ve been pleased with the Sephora Pro brush line. My favourite atm is the BK Beauty line of brushes.
So great to have your point of view! Thank you.
Thank you!! ❤💞❤
Fantastic video. I agree with so many of these! I too won’t spend money on these items anymore because they are simply not worth it.
House of Sillage has beautiful packaging but that’s it for me, There is not one scent I liked.
Thank you for the honesty Erin. 💝
House of Sillage has been very strange to me these last years... especially the recent collabs where I am very confused about their target audience...
Very helpful advice especially as I have been seriously considering the Chanel skin care
So glad you’re advising against the micro-needling from home. The biggest problem being too many people who don’t do it correctly, safely or sanitarily. It’s far better to go to a clinic/spa to have the service done.
Totally appreciate the video. I enjoy watching your videos you are sooo funny, “might as well get that ponytail face lift” 😅❤
I just love your pure honest salty video's, dear Erin, and this is also such a good one, thank you!!!🤩🤩😘😘
One of my favorite videos. Please do more. Thank you 🙏
I am glad I don't have the money to spend on such luxury items.
Loved this video
I bought a Dyson hairdryer and ended returning it as it didn’t work for me, and for the price I couldn’t keep it.
I find a lot of makeup , even drug store makeup prices are ridiculous! Especially here in Canada!!
Great video! There’s the Gucci blaze of noon on you! My favorite lipstick on you of all time. What lipliner did you pair it with?
Just a bit of help on the K18 - shampoo, towel dry a lot of moisture out while in the shower. Apply K18 to damaged areas and (this is important), don't use more than 4 pumps for your whole head. Three pumps are better. Leave on the full 4 minutes (I clip my hair up in the shower to avoid random water getting in). THEN, apply your regular conditioner, leave in as you normally would, then rinse. After 4 minutes, the K18 doesn't rinse out. I hated it too before learning of this method. You might want to try it if you still have the product. This method makes a HUGE difference.
Love your honesty. It’s very refreshing.
Kudos to you for the honesty!
I’ve heard other people say this. What’s so special about that hair dryer? How is it any different than the rest?
I totally agree about the dison airwrap.. I sold mine actually
Thank you for your honesty!!!! REFRESHING!!!! Keep it going! 23:06
If you will have chance to review these pert, i guess a lot of people will be appreciative
Thank you
There only words, don't ever let negativity get in the way. I enjoy all your content and thumbs up before I even watch 👍
Love the honesty!
All those devices and exorbitantly expensive creams will not replace a visit to your trusted dermatologist…
and skincare has to be consistent: if you choose a super expensive skincare line, you have to stick to it, it’s a commitment…
LED masks - I am still not even slightly convinced that they even do anything….
I do disagree on the air wrap, I totally love it, but to each its own ❤
Great video! I love an occasional luxury but it needs to perform well.
Thank you for such an informative video Erin-I really value your honest opinion. 😊
Love ur video! ❤I agree with everything. My skin is so much better with Obagi. Love the Sephora beauty brushes. I also love Sephora 1 minute masks.
I needed to hear about the Sublimage. I’m loving their eye serum, but definitely contemplating $325 price point. I have lot of aging issues, may be I should get medical grade cream now.
I love that you still make these videos even though you receive negativity 👏
This was a GREAT video- thank you for your honesty!!
Well there goes Erin burning bridges with HOS! I love Wonder Woman and Minnie. 😜
I bought my first HOS - Whispers of Admiration based on your lovely review. I don't buy their perfumes anymore.
Loved the honesty!
Thank you, Erin!! I wanted to love the Dyson air wrap, but it was not worth it for me either. I seriously don’t understand all the hype!
I totally agree with you about the Dyson. Total waste of money and it doesn’t work on my fine hair.
