@@HolloHomestead Hello this is a bit random but i need some advice. my chick hatched, it's cord is still attched to the egg. What concerns be is there's bit of blood around the abdomin. Has my chick herniated? Is the blood normal? My chick is reactive, doesn't seem lethargic but again the blood worries me. I read you can snip the cord, but other people say let if fall off on it's own, but does this apply to to my situation seeing that there is blood? I've never delt with this before. Any information would be great thanks so much for sharing your video
Little blood is normal. But a baby chick doesn’t have that much blood to begin with. I would just allow it to dry up and fall off. Or at least wait a day or so to try and help remove it if it is keeping the chick from moving around. In my experience if the chick is bleeding out there is nothing you can do about it.
@HolloHomestead hi again! Great advice! The cord sent from being thick but after some time dried to the size of a strand of hair. My chick is not fine and healthy 😄 thanks so much for your reply!
