A bit of info for anyone who doesnt know, Mahidevran was not his actual wife she was just a concubine, Hureem(Alex) was the only women he married. The part where they say Mahidevran was his wife is a mistake
So sad that Valide and Hurrem became friends a little before Valide’s death, she put in so much effort to make Mahidevran the chief consort again and ignored the fact that Hurrem was smarter and more capable of becoming Haseki
All Hurrem haters can clearly see in this episode itself how much she was put through. Who started it all? Mahidevran. Valide Sultan kept telling her that's how the Sultan's Harem works. She never listened and was jealous of Hurrem getting attention from Sultan. 🤷🏻♀️
Wouldn't you be jealous if your love is snatched away by someone else and also if your love of life is no longer interested in you.....its natural for Mahi to become angry and show frustration. But I dont like the fact that Hurrem is challenging Mahi in winning Sultan
@@supersaha1234 True that. But that's the way of life. She began innocent life, She has given into the dirty politics. Mahi's case: in those days it was common for that to happen. Valide told her many times to get her act together. Those times were barbaric like that. I never support. But Mahi only made things worse for herself and Mustafa as well by behaving like that. Sultan Suleyman Khan says you killed us. She lost him forever. That's my opinion 👍🏻
Mahidvran's jealousy is quite obvious as she loved Suleyman a lot that time .Later on hurrem also gets jealous even more with many other girls . It's not easy for a woman to watch her man looking for another girl. (even though it was a custom here )

yes. both their banter and laughter is so invigorating to watch. slowly they both lose it and the Sultan becomes morose in the later episodes as he grows old, though Hurrem retains he girlishness a little
I wish Hurrem tried to be a little more humble to the harem girls . It came with her age though she was only 16 or 17 when she first came to the palace. Plus we remember our own arrogant teenager ways of our own lives . She caught Suleiman heart by being a funny school girl who had a rebel streak in her . He loved her for her boldness & loyalty .
I watch this episode again because I love the dissatisfaction in the Sultan’s face, he was really disappointed when Mahidebran walks into the chamber. He looked like the child that missed dessert.
Mahidevran never realized that she had Sulieman when he was a Prince, he was finding his way and loved her because she gave him a son. However, Suleiman was never IN LOVE WITH MAHIDEVRAN OR GULFEM. What he feels for Hurrem is a different love, it's true love!!!

I don't agree that Hürrem became what she was because of others mistreatment..she was power hungry. Exactly...it seemed he was fed up with those forbidden issues and liked the pleasant change... And she positively did *absolutely* everything to make him mad of longing her
I was not convinced it was Hurrem showing disrespect. As it was Hurrem not letting others disrespect her. Which she was perfectly capable of doing and should. How many times did we hear Sueliman say to his sisters, Valide and Gulsem: You will not disrespect my wife. A disrespect to her is disrespect to me.
Alexandra was disrespectful to everyone even before she became Hurem. And from the moment she became Hurrem she thought of being above everyone else just because she spent two night with the Sultan. Hurem problem was he arrogance and self confidence. Every time she did something bad, she always hide herself behind Suleyman. She was a coward woman. The little power she had came mainly from Suleyman and her children. She was nothing compared Safeye and Kosem Sultana's, because they would have crushed her in no time

This is the second time of many that Valide acted against Suleyman and Hurrem for Mahedevran.. the first was sending Mahedevran to the chambers knowing he wanted Hurrem.. now sending her to the dungeon because she said my name is Hurrem.. no one treated her well from the beginning.
Suleyman loves Hurrem since day 1 he saw her. But took sometime for him to realise that until something happened to Hurrem. And Mahidevran act stupidly cause of her jealousy to Hurrem that made Suleyman have no feelings to her anymore. But then, she blames Hurrem for everything happened to her life.

What are you talking about? Meryem Uzerli was never a dancer but a model. The fact that you can perform simple routine moves, doesn't make you a dancer.
Annnnd I'm reminded just how much Mahidevran annoys me. Like. Girl, you know the situation. YOU KNOW IT. And yes, it can be heartbreaking, but GOOD GOD WOMAN, you need to face reality at some point. She just refuses to accept reality (including her own guilt and the fact that she's the author of many of her own misfortunes) the entire. effing. show.
Mahidevran never loved sulaiman. She loved his attention and admiration. Hence why she complains ‘I was the one who he loved most’ and is so conceded when looking in the mirror. She’s full of her own importance.
That may be true, but Hurrem is far from a saint too. Extremely selfish. How is she any better than Mahidevran? They're both self absorbed. I'm not talking about the real historical figures. We don't know enough about them to judge them. I'm talking about their characters on this show.
@Alpana Manna how is alexandra nice??? She's as bad, if not worse, as Mahidevran. Only cares about herself and loves to flaunt her victories in other people's faces to hurt them. And we don't know how the real hurrem looked, so you can't say that she's attractive

@@tatabyebye7782 The more episodes that I see the more of an impression I get that she is an inherently evil person: dishonest, brutally malicious and quick to accuse to blame others for her misdeeds. I don't know how historically accurate the screenplay is but I think it should attempt to get the characters personae basically correct.
Mahidevran's jealousy and hatred towards Hurram Sultan is completely unnecessary because Sultan Suleiman had lost attraction towards Mahidevran even before the arrival of Hurram Sultan 😶⁉️
Also in the history, yes. He was out of love with Mahidevran already then his mom looked for a new girl to keep her son happy. It was Valide Sultan who offered Hürrem to her son. Then the love story started❤
No it is not wrong actually. The title already existed for the sultan's main consort. What Süleyman created was the title Haseki Sultan, which outranked the sultan's sisters. It was also the title of Kosem sultan later
Haseki didn’t mean favorite; a prince or sultan could have multiple favorites. Haseki meant literally “exclusive.” Hurrem was a Sultan when she gave birth to Mehmed. Therefore, haseki was a title given first to Hurrem when they legally married in 1534. It meant that she was Suleyman’s exclusive consort, equivalent to a queen or empress, highest ranking female in the dynasty and the empire. By 1534, they had been monogamous for years.
The harem would be a peaceful one had Mahidevran did not obsess over winning against Hurrem. (In this drama) Mahidevran thinks the world revolves around her and Mustafa. She even looks down at Gulfem, Suleiman's first concubine. At least the royal family (Ayse Hafsa Valide Sultan, Sultan Suleiman and Hatice Sultan) and even Hurrem show respect upon Gulfem. You reap what you sow, Mahidevran.
Yes, she's definitely an evil character however you must keep in mind that in that environment a woman was only as good as her influence on the sultan. She had become an overbearing pain in the butt. Suleiman was bored with her, he was looking for excitement and light-hearted fun. Alex/Hurrem, gave him the romance he was yearning for.
He is a beautiful little boy,but he is also an arrogant entitled little brat,I don't care for kids like that.although I'm sure he learned everything from his mother
The second she said she wants to be his friend, Suleyman fell in love, she didn't fear him she already died the moment her family died so she didn't have anything to lose. She loved him the moment she saw him she bever feared him she loved him for who he was.
mahidevran already lost her traditional thursday night....she lost it to hurram. but she is still hoping n presuming that she is the suliaman favorite.
Hurram fell in love immediately when she saw prosperity of sultan Suleiman. But sultan's love was pure for hurram because she was just a concubine of his
I wonder why the wife cries and feels sad,she should know that powerful and wealthy men like that always see women as an object and these men are not to be loved...these men should be used to gain power and wealth and get whatever you want....loving these type of men will only bring sorrow in your life..so just use him..thats how it works
She’s not his wife she was his concubine slave. In real life .. she was like one of his prince’s harem..She was lucky because she had the remaining living son.. (records show others were paid more than her) so for me.. I wondered she had anything to do with them dying .. I still believe if she handled herself better .. she would have eventually beaten out everyone because of Mustafa.. however . It did not happen in history and the producers kept this part realistic. When Hurrem came.. Mahedevran had already lost..
If she can be the favourite, then her son will have a greater chance to be the next sultan. Then herself can rule the world. If her son will not be the next sultan then he most likely will be killed by his brother. Those ladies had a very valid reason to be desperataly trying to be the favourite.
After hurrem's death episode.. I was became so sad..i cried a lot. Then finished all episodes. Now I'm coming to re-watch those love & favourite moments. And my mood is turned on❤️❤️❤️
Any woman in harem, who gives birth to a royal son, considered ‘haseki’ and given that title. Think like an army, ‘haseki’ is a rank in harem. Mahidevran was also haseki, because she gave birth to a royal son, mustafa. The eldest sehzade (prince). Actually she had more chance to become valise sultan than hurrem.
Its just a drama. They made it dramatic more than realistic! Don't just believed the real history based on it fully! Sultan Suleiman never slept with another woman after Hurrem. Because only hurrem was sultan's one & only true love. Sultan Suleiman was loyal to Hurrem for his whole Lifetime!
Seriously, Mahidevran is so dumb. What she and Valid thought Suleiman would do, never call Hürrem again and let her rot in the dungeon? Seriously, such a stupid move to make.

Every time Hurrem gets mistreated, she gained even more power, first punishment gave her the epic ring.. then beating from Mahi brought Hurrem to the Sultan's chambers, Valide tried marrying her off and Hurrem became a Sultana by giving birth to a prince! They tried to kidnap and kill her, then Suleyman married her and she became the Empress 👑

Haseki title was made for hurrem. Suleiman invented haseki for hurrem the first time. Series has made lots of mistake.
No it is not wrong actually. The title already existed for the sultan's main consort. What Süleyman created was the title Haseki Sultan, which outranked the sultan's sisters. It was also the title of Kosem sultan later
@@alixgoujon2196 the “Title” Haseki was made for and first used for Hurrem .. the term Haseki meaning favorite was probably in use before:.
