Have had my traveler for probably 7-8 years now. Excellent vise for the price. Added a tool caddy and it’s great. Love how the master vise looks may need to scoop one up soon. Thanks for the video man!
Started with the vise in Orvis' general fly tyer's kit. When I knew this would be a life-long pursuit, I purchased the Master Vise. That was in 2000. No issues, ever.
Deployment of aluminium alloy in contact with brass and cast alloy is an invitation for galvanic corrosion at the aluminium alloy under the anodised surface treatment; generating a white powdery aluminium oxide residue and surface micro- pitting. Need to be careful to wipe down to remove hand/skin sweat bearing 'salts' particularly in high humidity conditions. I've personally seen varoius degrees of this problem on three different Renzetti vises. At this price they should be 100% stainless.
i bought the special edition master vice coming from a regal. i don’t regret it at all you only have one life and if u can afford it why not buy a once in a lifetime vice. my favourite thing is the rotary function.
I could not justify the cost, so I bought the Renzettin 4000 presentation. I like it a lot. The Traveler is a very good vise for the money. Mine is over 25 years old; I did upgrade to the cam jaws some years back. You can't go wrong with any of the Renzetti vises. My other vise is a Regal that I bought way back in 1981.
Thanks James☕️☕️ A beautiful piece of hardware no doubt, i’d like to get the Renzetti traveler advice. I use a Peak rotary now with all the goodie’s. Stay safe 😉👍
Its All About The Jawssss!Incredible hook range.Beautiful engineering.I believe their are alot of vises otherwise that can fit the bill quite nicely though. Thanks for your opinion.
You can put some glue on the plastic screw , let it dry then reinstall and if I’ll hold 99% of the time. The coolest part of the master vice is ability to adjust the height of the hook for easier rotation (ie inline).
That feature used to exist on their first vise, and it is still clunky on their latest greatest. What that tells you is that "nobody" uses full rotary, other than to do the tying equivalent of checking whether you left your fly's fly undone. And for that you give up good tying ergo with your left side. They are still nice vises.

Traveler is such a great vise for the money. If you’ve tied on one for years you’ll feel at home on the master vise. Plus it looks cool 😂
@@AboutTrout Hell yeah man, will need to get one. 30th bday coming up
@@Scoopswift treat ya self!
I think you should sell the slogan "so much vise for the price" to a company.
TM* 😂

Thank you for the review. I'm happy with the vise I have, but I know someday I'll upgrade.
The best vise is the one you got.

Awesome! Regal makes a fantastic product.

Great feed back. Presentation 4k is a great vise!
Thanks James☕️☕️

An honest review....refreshing!
We try to keep it 💯 around here

Absolutely. The hook holding range of the master jaws make this a “one and done” vise purchase.
Love all three of mine
There’s no such thing as having too many vises. Love it
I have a Traveler, they are all great. Sweet rig!
Incredible vise!

I get it but I feel like for almost $1,000 we should get a material arm with adjustable positioning. That being said, Master vise 4 lyfe
@@AboutTrout couldn’t agree more! It’s irritating they have fixed this in the last 15 years ;)
I threw it away ❤
Sorry I didn't buy another name ❤

Straight Chazz! Love the Peak vise.
Bless up!
Did you look at the dynamic king barracuda?I think they have had supply problems though
They make a great product and lots of people love them. I appreciate the color and articulating arm on the Renzetti though haha
doresc un set intreg ce trebuie sa fac si cum ????ce pret are si daca se poate trimite.
If I am neither a master nor a traveler, which model should I get?
Renzetti does sell the apprentice vise
@@AboutTrout That's the one for me. Shukran.
I will show you my master vise next time i see you.
Can’t wait for the reveal!
superrrrr......
Got one. Do you need one? Nope. The master is a great vise though
100% agree
$200 for the vise, $600 for the ruler that comes with it. I see how they do.
It’s a very nice ruler
That's an expensive vice to only tie squirmies on
It’s a facade. I don’t tie. Pegged beads and worms all day

Frodo, shouldn’t you be throwing a ring into a volcano in Mordor? Why are you here typing in all caps? Hit the hobbit pipe and chill my brother.
