This is the best song I have ever heard it suits my sadness(I try to make it so it's only sometimes I feel pain-emotional pain) it's so uplifting it's like a part of my that's shattered and this song tapes it together like a part of me that was missing for eternity and now I've found it I love music so much it has helped me through the hardest times with this song I picture myself in my music room with my music teachers in front of class playing this but also singing the words and my voice combines with it and makes my class mates be in their own world lost in the notes and voice like I am, to hear music for me is like loving my family, if I was deaf I would find every way possible to at least feel music and still be able to sing to it, if anyone listened I hope you all have an amazing day, night or week and if your stuck and your head is whirling with so many thoughts and problems listen to music or to small sounds like raindrops outside it clears you head and then you can think properly have a brilliant day every-one

Wouldn't learning to play songs with videos like this hurt you more in the long run? The person teaching me made sure I learned everything I wanted to learn purely through sheets.

+PianoKeyz Ah, I see :), that's good. I have a few friends who can play a guitar, but can't read sheet music XD. Not the best habit you want to get in to lol.
Juan I'm learning sheet music but the songs I am on are very boring so I learn these just to break the monotony of the bad songs on the sheets
it depends
some people just want a specific song and don't need anymore repertoire (this is the fastest way for one or two particular songs)
however if you want to take music seriously then yea you need to know how to sight read/ear train. you don't need to sit down and analyze figured bass though it helps lol (this is faster if you need to learn multiple songs/more songs)

It is not possible to "learn piano" from this video :D :D The player dont know right fingering... So its the first thing you learn in wrong way. And you learn nothing about expression and stylistics and articulation from this video. The music is about communication between player and listener. You learn nothing about real music in videos like this one. Only think you can learn from this video is to imitate a melody of famous song - but that is not music.

+SincerelyStitch ♥ He does........Left of the two black keys is C, after that the white keys are D, E, F, G, A, and B. Then, it starts all over again. So it's C is always first. The black keys are sharps and flats. The black key right in front of C is C# or D♭ (#=sharp, ♭=flat). If it's ascending it's sharp, if it's descending it's flat.

I’m just learning to play piano/keyboard and this is the first song I am learning and since I have played guitar and bass professionally most all my life it’s fairly easy. Your tutorial is most precise and complete as far as I can tell compared to other more recent posted tutorials. I’ve wanted to learn the entire composition correctly but other vids I watched only show the basic notes and tell you it’s played the same from start to finish, which isn’t the case. The chorus part is different and I listen to the original song several times in a row and can hear different parts, not similarly repetitive parts as the other vids show. Thanks for teaching the correct notes and expanding my learning! New sub. I hope you’re still posting tutorials.

awesome tutorial. just as a tip for anyone who wants it, double hit each bass chord (ex. C-C), if you're using a piano, or a keyboard w/ sustain pedal (sounds more bouncy). One thing i added so it sounds like a hybrid of the standard Apologize and the Apologize w/ Timbaland, was adding a B flat chord at the end of the progression. So mine was (C, A#, D#, D, B flat)
I can't read notes, I learn buy doing and hearing and about 2 years ago I watched how to play this song and it was at the time the best and still is the best TUT on UA-cam BAR NONE.

I know this is an OLD tutorial, but I just wanted to say thanks @gotitans999 because I learned this song like 2 or 3 years ago, and people think I'm "amazing" at the piano now haha. I can play this song without looking (easy of course) I can play it upside down and behind my back.

@AaronixProductions In the beginning, he set his piano to Velocity Strings and later changed it to piano, because thats how the song starts. The piano he's using is probably digital or keyboard because most others cannot change to strings.
