I thought that church was supposed to teach us about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. I didn't realize that it was a seminar on saving money? I believe that Matthew 6:24 says "No one can serve two masters. ..... you cannot serve God and mammon (money) 1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil.

Although it comes off to you that it’s a “Seminar of saving money” that is not what it’s all about. Yes, it does say that “No one can serve two masters” Pastor is not teaching to have money as a master and he is also not teaching us to love money. He is letting us know to first pray and have God in the center of it all. You would want God to be your financial advisor over your money. Take the time out to listen to the message again(If you want) And take notes. I am grateful that pastor teaches about God’s saving grace AND life lessons.

Jesus teaches throughout the Word on all various kinds of practical things, including money.
God does not want us to be ignorant regarding money and finances. It is talked about all throughout the word of God, even in the Old Testament!
I think what you’re referring to, as far as serving two Masters, is…, And you’re correct… To not let money “become your master”
And in fact - that’s what a lot of people do when they get in debt - when you’re in debt and have no control over your money, the money is your master. But when you steward your resources well, you are in control, and the money is not your master!
That’s what this teaching is about! 🙏💪
