Seriously, though, this might be my favorite track in the game, so bombastic and climactic! It also feels good to finally fight the guy responsible for all the horrible things that have happened on the Nowhere Islands.

It absolutely should have been, can't help but feel like we missed out on a lot of good EarthBound/MOTHER tracks being in Smash Bros.
Yeah, we need more MOTHER 3 songs in Smash. I just realized that all of them have debuted in Brawl, and not a single track was added since.

I’m so used to seeing MOTHER 3 OST uploads using the red box art, it kind of catches me off-guard seeing this plain with background for this extension, to say nothing of how it says “EarthBound 2” under MOTHER 3. Where is this image even from, anyway?
This image was originally created from the BrawlBRSTMs3 X channel, a prominent music extension channel that was on this site before it was taken down in 2019. You may be surprised to see how many of this channel's thumbnails were taken in this exact style. It's also been a pattern from other extension channels (e.g. ZakkroMD, gamemusicboss, and OfficialVGM). This was all done to continue Brawl's legacy.
I am holding onto hope that someday in the distant future, Nintendo will remake the Earthbound trilogy in a unique visual style and give everybody who isn’t in Japan the chance to try Earthbound 2 officially for the first time.
