    Yet another fantastic video Graeme.
    Just shoiwing with the right products you don't need to spend a fortune, certainly not on RTU prewashes, for all the time it takes to dilute AND you can change ratios depending on what you need!
    Editing was superb too, no 'in your face' music drowning out the message, just subtle background stuff... Loved the intro too, not too mention the Bureau de Change near the end 🤣👌🏼

      Ha ha thanks Mark!, yeah I obviously agree with your points there , what makes it so ridiculous is that often the concentrated chemicals aren’t that much more expensive (if, at all!!) than the ‘scene brand’ stuff 🤯
      Music, I’ve been very aware of keeping the levels low so people can hear what I’m saying, it’s hard enough for some to understand the accent without blaring music in the background, and music can be off putting too, such a personal choice , I’ve seen some use some heavy rave music on some videos and I personally don’t think it matches the message.
      The cost comparison was a last minute idea as I get a few viewers from Australia as well as Europe so it was only fitting to include them too 😀

    I've tried Bilt Hamber shampoo in the past & I wasn't too impressed. Since using Carchem Super Suds & having tried out lots of others I don't think it will be beaten for performance or value. Great result on the Fiesta btw.

      Super Suds is the same 2000-1 dilution as well, it’s a particular favourite of mine too!, my brother did say the finish after that wash was better then when he gets his monthly maintenance clean at the detailer who applied the ‘ceramic’ 😅

    Great job Graeme, i do enjoy these types of video. So many get annoyed at the cost of some chemicals when buying the 500ml or 1l bottle, but when you break it down into how much it costs per use and how much you actually use you can see how inexpensive they are in the long run.
    Interested to know what was used on the car and how the car was prepared, my guess would be some kind of 1 year coating without the car being polished first.

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  5 місяців тому

      I think you’re right it def wouldn’t have been polished , the detailer had it for a morning so minimum prep, a wash without a chemical decon would be my tuppence to the situation 😤

    Good video there. liking the way you fade in and out the music in-between voice over.
    This ticks all my boxes. A gorgeous fiesta (RIP😢) cleaned with BH (new Touchless in an ik sprayer is unbeatable)and GT stuff. I had a sample of Gtechniq g-wash and loved it, so thats on the shopping list.
    Lots of personalisations on the ST. Mention to your brother (?) Paintmodz as he absolutely 100% needs the colour matching shark fin to replace the aerial. I love mine! And they have other cool stuff.

    Great video G and showing how a product that's perceived as expensive can actually be very reasonable...
    As to the "Coatings" I'm guessing a 1yr "ceramic" (if you call 1% active ingredient a ceramic) spray able sealant from the company thats sounds a bit like 'forever bee poo'?🤔... or that dealership favourite coating of Autoglym SRP🤣

      The detailer didn’t specify which coating he’d used only advertised as ‘all external surfaces ceramic coated’ which doesn’t seem to displaying any hydrophobic behaviour at all after 3 months, 🤔

    Bugs me that the industry (targeting enthusiasts at least) has moved to mostly RTU 500ml, or 5ltr options and they’ve taken a lot of the scaled value for the user out.
    Either pay through the nose for a pointless amount or buy so much that we can trap you in

      Thanks Lee!, I’d have liked to seen the fiesta go on to all out electric like the Corsa but sadly the motor trade is dying so changes have to be made.
      Shampoo has become such a personal item now I feel, even with some of the best on the market just don’t suit some people, I think it’s that you ‘feel’ the shampoo during the contact wash unlike a prewash or snowfoam , deep thoughts 🤣

    Really informative and enjoyable video, great that you’re educating people that “detailing” doesn’t have to cost a fortune!
    I would always be concerned about using such sparing dilutions. Particularly the shampoo and wheel foam when you’re in contact with the car, could this potentially cause scratches due to a lack of lubricity?

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback , glad you enjoyed it , I know exactly what you mean and that’s exactly why I chose those particular products to do it with , you wouldn’t generally lower the dilutions on say, Carplan Demon Shine cause they’re already weak products but these actually did work well at the required lowest dilution , saying that touchless pre wash was the highest dilution at 2% so that wasn’t even scrimped on. Doing it again all I would change is adding 10ml of shampoo to 20L of water instead of 5 in 10L and maybe stick 20ml of wheel shampoo in the bucket to aid lubricity , still excellent value for money in that too 👍

    • @MinimalDann
      @MinimalDann 5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the response, even if you trebled/quadrupled the dilutions for the value for money is crazy!

    I'm a big, big fan of Bilt Hamber.
    But I'll be honest, I really don't like their auto wash.
    I just don't.
    I much prefer the GT shampoo personally.
    As for QD, I won't touch ANYTHING but Koch Chemie FSE.
    I love the stuff and it acts as a mild water spot remover too.
    P.S. if that car was ceramic coated, then it was done with a ceramic coating from Ebay!

      @@GMDetails FSE is really only a minor water spot remover to be honest.
      More of your drying water spots than your baked in ones.
      But it leaves a lovely, shiny finish and has some moderate water properties of its own too.
      I use it every time. Especially after a wax or spray sealant!
      Oh yes, I remember that and the many others that came out.
