Great idea. The concept just needs a little more work and it will be perfect so you will be able to pick up your mill and move it easily anytime. I throughly enjoy your videos and can wait till your next one.
We have extensions that look like those at work mostly for reaching in our building. The rooms have false floors and the door ways are standard entries and our jcb won't fit through.
Good morning Brock. That's a great idea. I did kinda think that they were a little close together but a great idea none the less. God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍👍🙂
Just so you know and do not have to worry. When extending the forks, you should only make them 50% longer than your original ones. 1: Measure your forks. 2: Take that number and cut it in half. 3: Add that half back to the original length. For example, if your forks are 50 inches long, you should use a max of 75-inch extensions. 50" + 25" = 75" This is how they are meant to be used.
You should take those 6x6s and make a skid out of them You could cross braces to set the width you need so the skid is all set up at the correct spacing so you can just pull the mill over it and then pick the skid up to the mill and raise the mill so to be able to move it where ever you would like
You could hire a bunch of people to line up on each side, and pick it up and carry it from one place to another. Since you will now be using people to carry it, and to make it lighter and easier to carry, you could remove the wheels from underneath. You'll need to sell the wheels, anyway, to convert the mill over to electric. With the mill converted to green energy, you won't need the gas motor for the mill. Sell the motor to somebody who is building themselves a mill to make their own lumber.
Brock, it has WHEELS ON IT, just tow the darn thing into your hut and move it around by hand. Am I missing something? You been out in the sun too long buddy.
It’s definitely too heavy for me to move by hand, but I mentioned in the video that there’s a good chance I end up backing it in and moving the tongue with the tractor
Yes that simple tab on the the fork extensions will break off. Reinforce it in the beginning. So many people doing the same thing and creating redundant videos……..
I’ve never seen anybody carry a sawmill from the side with a skid steer in a video. Really haven’t seen many fork extension videos either. I’m not watching anybody for ideas. I’m just doing what I need to get done.
I built my own trailer mover with a made in the USA blank skid steer plate from Messicks and a trailer hitch from Amazon warehouse deals. I didn’t want all that weight on one tip of my fork.
Lots of Vevor shilling going on I respect the hustle to make a buck but don’t go overboard my brother. I’m in the social media/internet business and I’ve seen it all too often.

Great video, very cool product.
I would've been super impressed if you took the hut to the mill😂
Just hand tightening just going a short distance. I always loosen half thread so it doesn’t bind as I do with a shackle.

I would love to have a sawmill, but finding a tree around here is a problem...

Dropping Pig off at the butchers
I’ve been thinking I need to buy a whole hog.
@@RockhillfarmYT oh, I want you to raise him. And Idaho Pasture pig lol
@@toddcaskey9984 I’ve been considering sending off a section for a couple of cows but I don’t see pigs in my future

Great tool, but there are several better designs! You get what you pay for
Why don’t you just put a hole in your fork on tractor and your skid loader for a ball. That will make it easier to move stuff around.
I thought about doing that, it would be more secure, but with the little tool I’m using you don’t have to get tools out to take it on and off
