For everyone mad at the NBA for making a trophy draftee, they did what they should have done. Kid worked ALL his life to be drafted, but didn’t know he had a heart issue that could be critical. He would be drafted otherwise. So they invited him. I would have accepted too. And while embarassed, I would have admitted that I was embarrased because I’m not comfortable with myself if I’m not perfect.
he hated the draft cuz it was for show/sympathy no team was gonna draft him to play for them he was projected as a lottery pick but during his physical they found a heart problem that made the nba not waiting to risk it ie another reggie lewis so they had him displayed for show thinking it would make him feel better but looking at ppl u played against and killed them move forward and live there dream while u couldn't being so close was ehhh to him
A team discovered he had Marfan Syndrome during his draft process & he went from being a projected lottery pick to being unable to play/undraftable a few weeks before the draft.

I remember he was basically wemby before we had em. He could shoot the 3 with ease and was a an admirable defender
They should’ve asked him if he wanted to do that.
