The plastic stuff on the side of the helmet is a keeper for a head torch. So you slot the elastic strap into those slots and at the back of the helmet.
I love my helmet! Especially when scootering! I primarily dive sidemount so my head is usually the highest point so i don't cut my noggin mostly, and I hate the way hoods feel on my ears. I love my helmet so much it sometimes goes with me recreational diving if I'm managing multiple lights because i've developed muscle memory to 'park' them.
I’m grabbing this helmet from your review! I just measured and I get 24in with a 5mm hood on. What size would you recommend considering that I’ll be using it without the foam like you?
