Gregory Emmanuel was part of Greek settlers in Tanganyika Kilimanjaro area and was an Engineer for the Suez Canal early 1900s in Egypt that built the connector between Red sea and Mediterranean to shorten the distant between Europe and Asia . He lived in Tanganyika but was sent to school in Athens by his grandparents . Historically the Greeks studied math and science with the ancient Egyptian Nubians .
Historically Some White Greek were settler farmers in Colonial British East Africa(Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar) and German East Africa(Tanganyika) . Kenya had Greek farmers farmers including in Taita Taveta Kenya where one of the largest land owners in Kenya Basil Criticos was an elected politician also .
After watching this I realized that not all Black countries are dirty and full of trash. Tanzania make looks good image to the world please keep it up!
Time to explore other places of Dar apart from CBD. Visit other beautiful places like Masaki, Makumbusho, Sinza , Mbezi beach , Mikocheni ,Ubungo you gonna love Dar es salaam. Even very low income placeses like Tandale, Gongo la mboto, Mbagala and the like these places are beautiful too, and we will have the story to tell about which country in EA her common mwananch live better life.
Dar es Salaam Tanzania was the capital of German East Africa before Independence on Dec 9 1961. Prior to Independence of Tanganyika, Zanzibar was part of British East Africa and previously part of Omani Arab empire . Under British East Africa, Kisumu Kenya was the capital of Eastern Uganda and Mombasa Kenya was the capital of British East Africa . After the revolution in Zanzibar led by Ugandan Luo-Langi John Gideon Okello,17K Arabs died, Sultan Jamshid Bin Abdullah was exiled to UK and Tanganyika and Zanzibar united to Tanzania in 1964 .
Tanganyika, Rwanda, Burundi and parts of Mozambique were previously part of colonial German East Africa . Later after WWI German East Africa became part of British East Africa .
Mwai Kibaki road by Mbezi beach named after Kenya's third president Economist graduated top of his class at Makerere University Uganda(1st degree) and later also top of his class with distinction at London School of economics(2nd degree) . Under British East Africa the universities were constituents of University of London .
Meanwhile in kenya, Gachagua is fighting hard to ensure Nairobi remains chaotic and disorganized. Kudos to Tanzania's leadership and vision. At this rate, Daressalaam shall overtake Nairobi in 10 years
May I ask you a question? Nairobi is ahead of Dar in what actually?? Lets mention developed city amemities...Public transport, road networks, size and space, cleanlness and order, public parks, internet connection, functioning drainage and sewage systems, pedestrian walkways, banks, shopping centres etc? Kenyans always proclaim Nairobi is very developed...but we who visit Nairobi Regulary we never see those developments rather than few skyscrappers congested in one area....Public transport is a mess...There no even a single modern bus stage, downtown area is very dirty, full of hawkers, open drainage and sewage..places like gikomba you have to even wash your legs....Roads of Nairobi are unmarked and I dont think if there is even a single functional Traffic lights...we see traffic police always control traffic....Places like Upperhill, kilimani, Westland..roads have no sidewalks, electric cables hanging everywhere, open drainages....
@@magazijuto7991 When you ask them that question, Kenyans always change the goal post, utasikia Nairobi is richer, internet connection bla,bla.. coz when you look closely on every infrastructure necessary Dar is better.
