Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.
He went from Baptizing Hughie to trying to kill Hughie to signing his cast to trying to laser Hughie
Funny that they share so few interactions in the show. It's fitting, in a way.
I'm trying to remember if this scene was before or after the whole whale... Incident and 7 chasing the boys in sewer chase
@@josiahgonzalez942 before. This is season one. Whale chase is season 2.
@@VicEntityoh got it. Thanks
It’s actually fun to see that in season 1 Homelander was actually still pretending in public. Now he’s just himself everywhere.
That's the effect Stormfront had on him.
Its funny how this season didnt even scratch the surface of how terrifying Homie is
the new one?
No that's the first one @sporebryan2000
@@zeyadmohmmed4164 Oh yeah I know. I haven't watched 4th yet, but I remember first season for me Homelander was more terrifying for me. That scene of him scaning the city flying like a jet, for me one of the most tense scene. I didn't know his limitations.
it was a foreplay.
You can't jump on ppl right away with all your stuff.
It's rude.
Season 1 Homelander was scary, Season 2 and 3 Homelander was hilarious, Season 4 he was back to being scary but then started to feel sorry for him LMAO
I love the underwater shot of Homelander creepily smiling down at Hughie while he holds him under the water for slightly too long lmao season 1 Homelander was a menace
Reminds me of the comics in some odd way too.
After S4 ends I'm gonna rewatch S1 again 😂 just to see the difference
s4 homelander is worse than s1. s1 he had a leech. in s4 no. s5 homelander will be epic with SB
That smile was basically Homelander saying “tread lightly buddy, it really is that easy for me.”
Bruh I need Antony Starr to play The Reverse Flash in live action
That’d work so well
Only person that could play the part right now
The flash shows are so damn corny - nah he'd be wasted on it
@@chaiborg733 they're talking abt a movie not the shows
Sure, they are kind of soap opera-esque
But presumably this wouldn’t be in an Ezra Miller/CW Flash live action film/series but a new one
“He’s got the looks, the charm, the *jesus*
Death Battle! Reference!
@@lucasrivera6074 dam right!
homelander being nice is very rare loll
He’s not. He’s being passive aggressive to Hughie
He hates people who are scared of him
He was high key trying to drown Hughie lol
@@randyjam9925he could’ve been so much more worse tho. This is pretty nice for Homelander.
Homelander was trying to drown hughie in the Baptisted Pool.
Judging from that swift action...luckily Hughie took a deep breath.
He wasn't trying to drown hughie, he just baptised him so suddenly because hughie said he was scared of water so he did it fast that way hughie would be caught off guard by it
like van alden in boardwalk empire
No he wasn't. He was trying to intimidate him, really hard. Awesome acting!
Hughie: I'm gonna aren't I?
Homelander: Eyebrow YES
Homelander probably knew something was off about Hughie since he can sense his very-likely high heart rate.
I feel like homelander is scarier when he's pretending to be being nice
Lol you know he took very long with the baptism. Shows the crazy. 😂😂
0:34 You can hear a bit of his real accent and voice here 😂😂😂
HOLY HELL, I can never unhear that.
@@Lillie-y7sAAAAAAAA, me neither
What accent ?
@@ceegk3071 he’s from New Zealand
@@ceegk3071 the voice actor for Homelander, I mean
1:35 they closed that fast cause it was revealing her underwear 😂😂😂😂
Honestly in this show that's the least of their worries😂
Damn homelander couldn’t at least pretend to not sound bored and like he’d rather be anywhere else?
Always felt the shot of Homelander from under the water made him look like his comic counterpart.
The water distorting his visage into a more exaggerated expression, like the goofy ass evil smile he does in the comics.
The only man in the sky is Homelander. Does the priest not realise that?!
new black noir can fly too
He's not.
😂😂😂😂😂
@@Xominus in this universe not many people can fly like him
@@Xominus he said it himself in the recent episode when he talked to the Deep and was whining again that nobody gives a damn about his personality and abilities. "I can fly, you knew I can fly??" - the quote
“…willingness to improvise.”😂
Very well written "I could have killed you" moment
Homelander isn't even taking them all the way under..these are unholy baptisms.
Immersion isn’t the problem, re-baptism is
It's a parody show do you really gaf?
“You played my butt like Jazz…”
With poise and willingness to improvise 😂
I love the subtle threat, as if he was saying "you could've died right here, thank me later and most importantly, don't fuck with me"
Hughie survived stuff like this and people think he'd be traumatized by Ashley Barrett?? Lmao
He was pretty much raped I don't know about you but people having a breaking point is realistic
If you want a character to be one dimensional then read the comics
This scene makes me feel so vulnerable. As homelander holds him under, he knows that there is absolutely nothing he can do but trust homelander lets him up. Makes one feel powerless.
He needs to play Albert WESKER from RE for sure !
Homelander sent him a message, he can take him out anytime he wants.
I wonder will we get a flashback of what happened to Ezekiel in episode 8, since we only saw Butcher waking up after it
How many people peed in that pool, I don’t want to know…
hughie certainly did
I love how he can tell your blood pressure.
It's been a while. What was it that a Homelander knew about Hughie that led him to suspect him to be a threat?
Os batimentos cardíacos acelerados e o fato dele ser um amigo recente da Starlight e já ter acesso a uma área de pessoas importantes
Homelander can sense a person’s exact blood pressure?
The Billy Joel T-Shirt is such a great touch
1:48 on hughie T-shirt you can see its writen "Billy" and "Joel" foreshadowing what is gonna happen is S4
It's funny how he's shown so strong but struggle abit to lift the people out of water.😂😂
He’s even more scary when he’s nice 😂
Maybe it was laundry day at @1:38
What?
@@nsq2487 it took me so many replays to get it. Shes wearing beige (nude) underwear which can be seen when shes dunked under the water. At a glance makes it seem like shes no wearing underwear, an excuse often given for that is "laundry day".
S1 homelander was terrifying
Torrey Pines beach ⛱️ (late summer)
The stakes were so high in season 1
now knowing anthony starr wore muscle suit, homelander's arms kinda looks awkward lmao
That’s Ezekiel the pastor who tried to kill butcher but butchers parasite killed Ezekiel when butcher was lying unconscious
I cant remember this at all I will after rewatch😂
I think homelander kept him in that water for long, so it cloud break his phone
Why exactly was Homelander there?
To do this without gaining anything out of it?
No media attention and just some puny humans?
Have you noticed the ressemblance between Hughie and Max Payne?
Thanx to YT recommendations, which put 2 vids together for me.
1:32 was she wearing nothing under her skirt?
Good eye. I think her cooch is shaved too! But you only see it for a couple of frames.
yes🤣
When Homelander was well written before the showrunners didnt like the audience enjoying him.
He's still very enjoyable idk what you're getting at
He was never meant to be enjoyed. Bro is a psychopath from episode 1.
Bro just finished watching the Drinkers Video
isn’t that how it goes. Once it hits the mainstream everything gets dumbed down unfortunately.
He is the only thing entertaining about this show
It should’ve been me
Dies hhis his son?
what a strange tv show
This isn't Christian - Christ is our Savior and God the Father is our creator.
Nobody fuking asked you
They've been using Hugie as comic relief, and using black mail since season one
Homeland represents Trump.
Bruh
Wtf ?!
Lol more like Obama, who has more drone strike kills of civilians?
That’s obviously what they are going for with the show
The shows beta male Hughie. 😂
I am an athiest but this is nonsense. I'd respect them more if they went after Islam. But they are cowards.
What. Theyre not criticising religion, theyre criticising people using it for selfish means
I'd say you're either missing what's happening here completely or you are not an atheist and is also missing the point, the boys often criticize the powerful using things like religion to manipulate, this makes a lot of sense here, and there are people like this irl
Maybe in this scene, but in previous ones other characters just outright make fun of Christianity, which is quite tiresome when other religions rarely get poked at
@@BenjaminPena-kz3hf in most cases they'll make fun of hypocrisy, manipulation, pretending to care, pointless evil tradition.
Both starlight and Frenchie believe in God, and they are not made fun because of it.
@@BenjaminPena-kz3hf Thats just because its the US and Christianity is the major religion there, especially when it comes to mass media consumption and big companies. Dont exactly see many Mega Imams using their tax exemption to build themselves villas in America. It’s only natural that it would be the “villified” one (also Butcher criticised the concept of God itself, not Christianity specifically)
4:45😂
Season 1 was the only season homelander was nice
