At my age today of 73 suffering from Agent Orange and PTSD, i have had a massive heart attack and now have an aneurysm on the heart, I think God everyday that he lets me have. The doctor told my wife the night of my heart attack that i would not make it through the night, but a week later I walked out of the hospital. I am so thankful that he has given me more time to be here and to be with my wife, because i know she still needs me around and so do i. God Blessed me 50 some years ago and he is still blessing me today. Thanks you so much Lord.
My mother introduced us to the Goodman Family through an old TV program called The Gospel Singing Jubilee. EVERY Sunday morning, we knew it was time to get up and get ready for church when we heard that intro song...JUBILEE, JUBILEE, YOU'RE INVITED TO THIS GOSPEL JUBILEE. I heard the Goodman's sing and especially Vestal with that powerful voice... and I could not stop listening to her. What an incredible voice for the ages. Our family's gospel group sang several of the Goodman's songs when we did concerts and I will never forget her. Thank you for posting this tribute. I hope that people never forget her. ~God Bless You

She was a praying woman and the anointing was there because she prayed and saught God. Lord help us all return to prayer and seeking his face like we should. You know a person is a praying person because the Holy Ghost will be with them. I sure miss her and the rest of the group.
As a toddler, mama was playing trumpet for a band of bands gospel sing. THG was singing there. Mama had me drag her trumpet case over and Vestal saw me. She sat me on her lap, kissed my cheek and called me precious. To this day, I love trying to sing like her. I think she passed something to me with that kiss. CYA soon, Sister Vestal. Muah
My mom took me to two Gaither concerts when I was a teenager, Vestal's voice was so bellowing when they took the stage even as she aged, had the whole arena on their feet.
We shouldn't cry for her what we do but she is with Jesus Christ in heaven absolutely we all will die one time love and worship Jesus Christ and God the Almighty we will always see our friends again 🙏🙏🙏🌎
What a Blessing & powerful voice Vestal had. And Spirit filled big time. I had the pleasure of meeting her once at a convention. Bill Gaither was lucky to have the Goodmans & other talent that made his show what it is. WALLY jones
What a miracle god created when he blessed the world with the Goodman’s. And even though they are gone, What a blessing it is that we are able to still listen to them anytime.
I really Miss Vestal Goodman! Her and Tammy Faye were and still are my heroes of the faith! Two beautiful angels that are now singing to God in His heavenly choirs.

I remember the first time that I saw the Happy Goodmans back in 1963, when I was 12 years old. It was on a Sunday morning, on the Gospel Singing Jubilee. The whole family were amazing, but when Sister Vestal sang one of her most beautiful songs, (God Walks the Dark Hills), I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit like never before! She's left us for Heaven 20 years ago, but I have loved and adored that precious sister for over 60 years! I still miss her so very much! 🌹❤
I met the Happy Goodmans back in the early 60s at our Church's camp and was about the same age as you. They were just starting out at that time. Vestal gave me such a HUGE hug that I thought my bones would crack. Lol
