This is more of an exploit… but, you can actually duplicate a weapon with the True Hero Of Balur’s Gate Statue. Make sure to equip the weapon you want to duplicate before making the statue. Then you can cast Command: Drop on the statue and get the weapon the statue was equipping.
Seems unclear to me if this is truly an exploit, or an intentional semi-secret reward. It looks pretty obvious on the statue that your weapons are real, while everything else is stone. If you wielded something like Nyrulna or Blood of Lathander, it shows up with its usual glowing effect and there's no way to see that and overlook that it is not stone.
I discovered you don't need to actually pickpocket the djinn to get the ring at the circus, if you have a character who isn't super great at stealth. Just click the trade button when in dialogue with him and buy it from him. Same outcome.
I caught him cheating with Insight and Arcana check during dialogue, he gives you a free spin that wins you a good pouch that makes all good food turn moldy and a sack with a few magical acorns I tried to spin a few times, won some ok prizes. Then I accused him of cheating and now I’m hard locked out of spinning the wheel 😞
With the Sentient Amulet watch out, if you intend to finish the questline and get the upgraded amulet you need to reject the monk's offer at the end and fight him to get the non-cursed and buffed version where Shatter is lvl 3 and the ki restoration is a 1d8. If you accept the offer you get permanent Tasha's Laughter where if you fail one of the checks you get -2 wisdom, but your amulet loses all properties and becomes vendor trash.
As an alternative to attacking the torches to get the balduran items theres a back entrance to the prison through a hole on the coast. If you go right from the entrance you go to the prison, and if you go left you go toward the dragon's area
You can also get inside the vault with the Tharciate Codex through the librarian woman's office, there's also a secret room in the vault with a nasty spell that Gale can learn
I didn't know there was a way to get into those vault OTHER THAN pickpocketing her key and breaking into her office... I think, by the time I'm in act 3 with sooooooo many side quests, I don't feel like taking the time to even try new paths to get the same outcomes that I got from my first playthrough.
Nyrulna also applies featherfall to whoever has it equipped, meaning essentially that, outside of battle, you don't have to cast it ever again, since you can pass the weapon to other characters after you've made the jump. And also, the genie is open to trade: You can just BUY the ring from him and he'll fail the roll (He'll still call you a cheater tho).
You don't acutally need to steal the ring for the trident (though it's the easier way), I played a warlock + bard and had mage hand and counterspell and after succeeding a perception check I could argue with the Djinn that he was cheating, then spin again and either use a "normal spellcaster" check or one of the spells metioned before (I dont exactly remember what it was). I then cheated myself which than made the Djinn angry and send me to the jungle.

Small warning: Running around with it will kill basically all civilians that pass next to you (since you didn't deal the damage, though, no one really comes for you) - since everyone else is affected, you will keep killing vendors or other important NPCs and when you port somewhere with your party, your other members get damaged There are a few .... interesting ... interactions. 1) if you long rest with the body in your inventory (mind you, you may accidentally kill scratch or similar), your character looses the Energy Drain debuff. This also means that, should you reload, you will no longer get damaged by the corpse. Sadly the potion does not work for it, it needs to be an authentic long rest 2) You aren't the source of the damage. You can roll a high level Monk, get perm Sanctuary after resting and simply never attack/interact with enemies or deal any direct damage. Only a very few enemies can actually attack you (most notable: Intellect Devourer. Why these can target you is beyond me, but they can) 3) The aura triggers each 'tick' (round), or whenever something enters its area. In other words, you can stand right at the edge, and walk back and forth to reapply the aura. It can deal ridicioulos amount of damage. In the endfight I got the red dragon down by 300 health or something, though with a haste potion (really depends on the rolls of the aura) Obviously this approach is semi useless when facing necrotic immune enemies (and for some reason, the Elder Brain doesn't get damaged by it either), though it will still reduce their movement speed by half by applying Energy Drain.

If you go through the other cracked wall, then go around to the knotted vines to reach the temple where the...I forget the name. The ring that inflicts radiating orb on enemies whenever you cause radiant damage is located. Then you proceed to the doors covered by a spiderweb you need to get rid of to open the doors, then I believe you end up in the room with the pouch of ashes being to the bottom left side of the cracked wall that leads back into the jail cell. They aren't gale's ashes, he is still alive and well. They could be one of the Mason brothers? Or, they could be nothing. I have no clue. In 400+ hours of game time I am at a loss, as is everyone I have brought it up to, with only two other people mentioning it (in English at least) that I have been able to find between Reddit, Steam and GoG boards along with Larian's. Any ideas, because right now, this truly is a mystery. Like call in the Mystery Van and get Scooby and the squad involved bc who knows what incredible buff could come out of raising this near savior of Reithwin Town before Ketherick rolled out the Shadows to destroy all since he could not win in life. Or someone could have been being overly neat with a camp fire I guess. Still, it's just so obfuscated I am really hoping there is something to it. Or the devs forgot about it and are on it with the next round of patches and level cap increase DLC since there is enough set content XP available to hit level 20. Darnit Larian, we aren't spawn farming to over-level things, you put the content in by hand. Give out XP accordingly. Spells to resource consuming at the studio level? Then just add more lower level slots along with more feats/skills from the list we already have. Stopping us dead is just wrong considering you can earn 200K XP after hitting the cap. I'm almost at level 9 in Act 2 and have not even reached Moonrise Tower yet and I am trying to avoid content I did not enjoy in m first playthrough as much as other encounters. I quit playing bc after way over 100 hours at max level I just wasn't having fun anymore. That and the damn Hag Curse not having a cure and having my Gloomstalker/Storm Sorcerer flying scout setting off 90% of the traps instead of disarming them was just ludicrous (The curse also overrides items that give you advantage on Perception/Survival Checks regardless of how many you equip. Ludicrous). Oh yeah, back tot he pouch of ashes! Hmm, maybe that can cure my first character vision issues...

My main had the perma buff See Invisibility so I had no idea those panels in the tower were invisible
Yeah same. Seemed weird since there’s a note that tells staff to not touch the buttons since “only Lorroakan knows what they do.”
In the same area where you get Nyrulna you can also get a ring that's very useful to arcane tricksters like Astarion, it's in a camp with a skeleton

I need better weapons. I refuse to use great swords!

4:00 you can just buy the ring from the djinn and it will play out as if you stole the ring.
