That's my rig !! A few days ago I was walking and came across a drowsy puff adder near my right foot. I got a really good scare!. The Ka Bar was a quick, one-handed cross draw and I killed it fast before it got all rilled up. The cross draw from the handle down sheath was considerably faster than having to pull the Ka-Bar from a sheath attached to my belt. Tom, your thick heavy leather is not only gorgeous, but smells wonderful too. The tooling, beveling, moulding, sewing and staining is BETTER than some of the most exculsive custom Italian and English workshops. The industrial grade brass hardware is an added bonus. Needless to say the final fit and finish indicates a thoughful design that was executed to perfection. Everything hangs comfortably, and when I put on a sport coat, the rig does not print. My wife loves the stunning hand-tooled leather belt and told me to order another in black. I had a friend of mine make me a similar rig a few years ago. Mine can be customized to carry knive and pistol on the same side or opposite sides and/or can take a molle pannel on both sides in order to add custom carry options for blades, pistol holsters, pouches, flashlight holsters, etc. in any configuration you might want. It can be as simple or as involved as you want to make it. Mine is made of 1 1/2" webbing with padding on the shoulders and clips for mounting accessories

Very classy yet tactical which is why I’m in love with your company Tom. You are an artist not just a business man you know that right? When I first saw one of your videos which was comparing the galco or whatever company it is that makes shoulder holsters next to yours I saw the quality in your work but still didn’t appreciate the craftsmanship in your work until I decided that I now want a shoulder holster because I grew up watching Die Hard & movies where the hero always carried a 1911 or Beretta pistol in a brown shoulder holster & used to buy those cheap BB GUN shoulder holsters at target to play with, but of course an I had to really think if they were practical & yes they are. I’m comfortable & confident wearing one and practice drawing and re-bolstering with one, but now it’s time for me to choose a real quality one and my 1st option was the shoulder rig by Alien Gear which is a custom to your gun kydex shell inside of leather & the magazine holder on it is even kydex with leather around it. They look way way better than the Galco, the mass produced rig you compare yours too, but I have to admit for me if I’m spending over 100$ cause the Alien Gear rig cost 134$ so I also want it to look good which makes me confident and proud to wear on top of being more than fully functional. So great work & currently I’m saving for a Pythons skin shoulder rig for my XD40. I know a nice rig like a python skin one should be holding a sweet S&W 1911 or Kimber but that’s what I have right now and since the XD points and is shaped like a 1911 hopefully the holster part of the rig you make me will be compatible with other guns that are 4inch & size of my XD 40. Thanks for the great quality products can’t wait to get my holster from ya.
Going to have to rethink that fire rod loop design. As the rod gets used it gets shaved and gets smaller and will slip out of that loop. It needs better retention and should be better secured. For an example see Hedgehog Leather sheaths and see how they handle retention with elastic cord.
I own one of Tom's shoulder holsters and the materials and build quality are SUPERB! Tom has MASTER CRAFTSMEN employees who put their heart into their creations. 👍
