HEMA rapier competitions and SCA rapier competitions may use the same weapons but they have vastly different levels of acceptable pressure you are allowed to hit with. While HEMA heavily favors positive pressure (and then some), the SCA by contrast prefers lightest touch. In this video I describe the technique I use that not only allows me to strike fast but also takes a lot of the power out of the equation I would otherwise impart into my opponent.
