Damnnn!!! This man keeps on getting better and better. Just when you think you have seen the best.... he keeps redefining the art of smooooothness. I’ve been watching Terry dance for years along with the other greats. Terry is the bomb, mad respect! Keep doing what you do do best my brother. A true inspiration!
Hay mucho más que solo vueltas en este vídeo, quizás tendrá que mirarlo otra vez. Además una bailarina profesional de este nivel puede hacer algo como 10 vueltas seguidas sin parar y no tener algún problema
All I can say is that Oliver and Luda have set a bar so high that since nobody gets even close.. a 2nd place without spotting in spins while your timing is mostly merengue.. if I can't manage the correct rhythm why you guys push such fast tracks? Obviously there isn't a better competition otherwise you wouldn't place so high but seriously you guys can't see how messy and hectic this is comparing to anything else we'll reversed and prepared?? You guys supposed to be the elite to push the scene and inspire others.. Bring the quality and technicality back to dancing.... Watch this, and then check Oli or anything from Mayan champs where people still used to dance not run trying to keep up with a too fast track
Calling this music salsa is not the proper way to refer to it. Bunch of calling it salsa doesn't mean its salsa. Not thinking enough. Go to Cuba and ask for the real name. Son Montuno, Guaracha, mambo, cha cha cha, guajira, pachanga, guaguanco (son-guaguanco), pachanga, boogaloo, bomba, plena, and more etc etc.
There is no proper way to dance salsa since there are many styles that are categorized as Salsa. This one in particular is called Salsa Cross body / LA style, (style in which Terry is one of the best dancers of the world). There's also NY style, which is basically the same but is danced On2 instead of On1 as LA. Both styles have their origins on the Puerto Rican community in the USA. On the other hand Cuban Salsa as it is mistakenly known, (it's real name is Timba) is a completely different style, it is unique to Cuba and was influenced by all those styles that Dan Robertson has mentioned (although musically it is very similar to Puerto Rican salsa, hence the confusion). As for DR, they imported a little bit of Timba and Salsa from the neighboring islands but there's no salsa native to them, the dances native to DR are Bachata, Calypso and Merengue.
probably in top 10 social dances in salsa history
2:32 is magical

lmao ehhhh this isnt the proper way to dance salsa. Bunch of twirling doesn't mean salsa dancing. Doing too much. Go to Cuba or DR or Puerto Rica.
