Oh, Anja, this is absolutely beautiful! I've got one blanket I am finishing up and two that need to be put together. Should take me about a month but then, I will be ordering this colorpack and starting this lovely blanket! I love the video and pics of the pyramids and your travels. I've always wanted to visit Egypt but due to health problems, I will not be able to go. Thank you for taking me 💗💗🐰🐰💗💗
Hi Anja just finished Snow Moon🌙 shawl 🤩........now just started your absolutely gorgeous Jewels of the Nile blanket 😊 ........had to start my shawl 3 times but persevered. Thank you for your wonderful patterns and beautiful colours you put together 💖...... 🙋🏻♀️🐩🐩💕
I am loving this blanket .. did a couple of rows as you suggested Anja and realised I need to go down a hook size so pleased I took your advice it is looking good so far .. thanks for another great tutorial Anja ❤
Absolutely beautiful pattern & the colors are gorgeous together. Can't wait to get this going. Have to say I love the music & views on the video...stunning!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you Anja for bringing us, who haven't been to Egypt, bit closer to all the beautiful Jewels of the Nile! My sampler piece done and dusted... now to start for real 😊❤
Anja!!!!!!!! I am the happiest woman on earth. I received my yarn yesterday. I bet ur husband did the packing on this order. I am making a blanket now mixed with the crunch stitch, the Suzette stitch. Omg what elegance. I am so blessed to have found you on you tube. Tons of blessings to u and ur hubby. Would like to see him make another pattern. Much love and tons of blessings from my family to yours in Connecticut. ❤
My pleasure Anja. I placed another order for the pastel yarns. Looking forward to receiving it. My husband is making me make him the same blanket your husband made. So that’s another order soon. My husband is 6 feet 4 inches tall. He loves the one I am working on. Anja!!!!! I thank God for people like you and your husband. Tons of blessings. Plz let ur husband know I purchased the pastels. I had told him I was going to buy it🦋💐
I am absolutely anxious about to start but I must wait until Sunday ❤ Thank you Anja. Your explanations are so helpful that I think that (even being a adventorous beginner) I will finish the project.
Anja I did follow your advice using a 3.5 crochet hook. No rippling and the fabric is resting flat. It’s lovely . I’m on row 3 v stitch in gold. I really love it. Giza 1 and 2 going well.
Hi Anja, I’ve finished Week 1 and just loved it. I was wondering though what are the multiples if I wanted to make a bigger sized blanket rather than using up leftovers on other projects. Thanks so much.
Im in love with your Blanket.. Jewels of the Nile...I have bought my supply of Yarn in similar colours...and CAN'T wait to begin ...Do you have a pacific order of colours when making the blanket...🙏🙏🙏🙏
So far, so good on this beautiful blanket. I do have a question though. Does the chain one, double crochet into same stitch, at the beginning of the row, count as a stitch. So when we double crochet into the last stitch of the row, you use that one. Hope that makes sense 🥴
Hi Anja what a beautiful Blanket and the Sort of the different Stitches are fantastic also the colors. I am so amazed that this will my next Project that i make because its to georgous to do it not🙈🙈 Now i have a little question can i make this also for a double size bed and how many chains must i take about. You take Wendy yarn in the Videos, but if i will make it in stylecraft what are here the colors that i must take i am now a little bit confused because some colors in Wendy are different in stylecraft 🙃🙃 I hope you answer back and thanks for now. You make a great Job, Your channel is like a great family and its so fun to Look the Sunday Live or make Your Blankets. Please Dont stop with All of that and i hope you have many ideas to make it with US here😊 LG lally from germany 🍀🍀
Thank you for your lovely words, you will have to do a bit of detective work with the yarn colours if you want to use Stylecraft, I suggest writing down the colours in Wendy from the colour table in my blog and then taking a look at the Stylecraft range on my webshop to compare. Some do have the same names. For making a double bed size you will have to use the multiple I give you in week 1, I can not tell you how many chains due to many factors which include your personal tension and what hook size you will be using. But I wish you good luck, I’m sure you will do my pattern proud, Anja x
@@OpheliaTalksHi Anja Your welcome you are a so natural and sweet Person like a Mum for All of us😊and i love the way you introducing its so clear and simple so every one can do Your beautiful Project. Anja, just regarding access to the pattern from UA-cam, when you click the link for the pattern my phone jumps to “Join the In Crowd” and invites subscribing (which I already am). However after many times going down this wormhole and still no pattern I pressed the “Not for Me” option and voila, there was the pattern. Hope this helps.
I made my row 0 and it looks good but I have 1 extra stitch is there any way of leaving it and continue with row 1 maybe skipping over 1stitch to get back on track? It was very hard for me to do that row0
Hi there I'm a bit late to the party. Have had my pack for months, but only now do I have a chance to make your beautiful blanket. As instructed I used a smaller hook to stop the wavy edge, however after two sets of 1 and 2 I measured the width and it's only 96 cm. Not sure what to do to rectify this. 14 cm is quite a big difference. Any advice would be much appreciated. X K
It sounds like a tension problem to me, I suggest you try again with a bigger hook and see if it comes up a better size for you. Thank you Kathryn, Anja x
@@OpheliaTalks I was wondering if it could be that. I've never had problems with my tension on any of your other blankets I've made. Thank you for your response, I will try again. X K
Hi Anja me again, please Dont be angry because of my mayby stupid question but i have anotherittle for you🙈🙈 Can you please explain me what does it means "multiple 5+2" in the pattern? I think i have a Knot in my head i Dont understand this, count. Thanks for now. LG lally 😊

One question. There are only 14 colors in the color table. What ist the 15th color? I want to check my stash...
It will be cream

How I can buy yarn for blanket “Jewel of the Nile”?
Hi Eva, it's here on my website. www.opheliatalkscrochet.com/crochet-a-long-yarn-packs/jewels-of-the-nile-yarn-pack Thank you for watching
What kind of yarn did you use was it 100 cotton or a mix
It’s acrylic yarn
Here it is, Barbara: bit.ly/JEWELS-OF-THE-NILE-YARN-PACK
I can’t. find the pattern for the blanket, you keep saying there is an arrow to get to it under the bar, where??
All the links are in the description box under the video! Or on our website direct!
Can you see the end of the rows in as you go along?
Her pattern has a double border, which means we don't need to sew in the ends. The ends are enclosed in the border. 🙂
@@donnacreativeblessings4098 thanks for letting me know. ☺️

Can you please explain me what does it means "multiple 5+2" in the pattern? I think i have a Knot in my head i Dont understand this, count.

Your multiples go up in 5’s then you add 2 at the end, for example 22 chains ( 4 lots of 5 then add 2 ) Anja x
@@OpheliaTalkshi Anja oh my goodness yes of course thats it🙈🙈i had realy a Knot in my head. Thanks a lot for explaining me you are so nice❤❤
