Kimura's Bonsai demonstration

Bonsai master Masahiko Kimura just finished his demo at the opening ceremony of the 8th World Bonsai Convention. He created a stunning rock landscape inspired by the Chinese Wulingyuan mountains. He prepared the rock in his studio, where he also cemented the several wires to attach trees to the rock. In total, 15 trees were planted at the demonstration - each air-layered about a year ago.

Ryan Neil provided the translations, and mr. Kimura brought two apprentices to help him create this landscape in only two hours time! I’m terribly sorry for not being able to provide a higher quality movie (wasn’t allowed on stage zo we had to zoom a bit). Music by CMA.

i was 4th row from the front. The only thing impressive about that demo was Ryan Neils crowd control. Japanese MC was a complete douche and his jacket was awful. admittedly kimura did not have time to do much else but still severely disappointed.
