One of my favorite bands and few have heard of them. I could compare them to other bands but their delivery stands out in a big way. I discovered them earlier this week and im still trying to find the top of my head.
I love 3:25, how it drops down to that soloed sound like the intro, so good. Then 4:17, where that ride comes in, so good, this is one of my favorites.
They were incredible March 23rd RnR Hotel. They played this song and tweaked it wonderfully. Alabaster was amazing that night. And many others were captivating. 2019 ATW again brothers. My 67 year old hippie mom is rocking her head to this song right now hearing it for the first time
Not only this, but the whole album has a lot of Zeppelin. There are many good bands nowdays - Rival Sons, Greta van Fleet, Wolfmother, etc - that try so hard to emulate the Zeppelin sound and style. The difference with ATW is that they explore and follow the path pointed by Page and co. many years ago instead of only staying in the comfort of the well-known formula of the Hard Rock.
Rival Sons? They maybe sounded a bit like LZ on their first 2 records (but mixed with Hendrix, early Floyd etc.), but they evolved so much since then and they're much more versatile than just 'a band emulating the sound of LZ".
I'd switch Gretta Van Fleet for The Black Angles, check em out if you haven't, 'Young Men Dead' & 'Sniper at the Gates of Heaven' are 2 I'd listen to first
Killer just absolutely killer track, I saw these guys in Grand Rapids Mi and they sound as good live as their recording. Can’t wait to see them again to hear this track 🤘
As this song began on my first listen-through of the album, I said out loud to myself, "No Quarter!". It was uncanny but also its own. Another killer album from ATW.
This should have 757 million views, instead of just 757 at the time of typing this! (I'm sure this number will go up a bit, but should go up SUBSTANTIALLY higher!) as it's AMAZING music from an ACTUAL BAND of TALENTED MUSICIANS who are playing REAL INSTRUMENTS! In todays wasteland of terrible music from lack luster so called 'artists' that are being pushed by big 'Dinosaur' record labels, "All Them Witches" rises from the ashes, and comes forth to put out these great, creative, and quality constructed songs that are right up there with the greats of 'classic rock' and bring back that much needed+appreciated TALENTED 'Artistry' to the music landscape once again, IMO.
This owes a lot to No Quarter by Led Zeppelin, a bit too much, except the vocals and also the end, completely different... but it's cool to hear some young musicians refer to the greatest bands of the early 70's like this.
@@Marctull66 not even close. Play both songs at the same time and you will hear / see. It resembles because of guitar tone tuning, nothing else. Even the starting melodies are different.
Musically, the first part is very similar. the keyboard sound and notes themselves, the rhythm. I see it as a tribute, it doesn't sound like plagiarism to me, anyway.
This has a major No Quarter vibe. Love it.
My son alerted me to this (as he has done so many times): "This one is for you, dad". Thank you, Tom, it's beautiful!
this songs about drug usage. hopefully your son is just enjoying the tune, but you might want to talk to him
The highest compliment, I assure you dad. Im sure you know by now.
Explain what this means if he is ready, I don’t know how old he is but the world won’t wait, peace from Melbourne OZ
god bless Tom
And it's random post's in my Life just like yours there, that keep me alive, thank you
Zeppelin influence perhaps and a touch of Floyd. Fucking love you guys 🌀
Keep dreaming Rob. I will keep listening!
YES!
in a different dimension.. No Quarter featuring David Gilmour🎶👽🛸👽🎶
Exactly... It makes me think of No Quarter and Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun, with also some old hard rock/stoner elements near the end
For real. It bugged me for a long time why this song sounded so familiar.
Mixed a little Tony Iommi in the solo
Wish they did a whole album with this vibe
Dying Surfer Meets His Maker is closer to this vibe
One of my favorite bands and few have heard of them. I could compare them to other bands but their delivery stands out in a big way. I discovered them earlier this week and im still trying to find the top of my head.
Very well put. They're their own and utterly beautiful.
This is one of the most awesome songs I've ever heard
I love 3:25, how it drops down to that soloed sound like the intro, so good. Then 4:17, where that ride comes in, so good, this is one of my favorites.
This enlightens my soul while listening
I can hear the old ATW atmosphere in this and I'm so grateful for this song.
They reach a new level with this track (and ATW release). Simply amazing.
It’s nice to hear music played by human beings that aren’t afraid to take chances 🖤

Can't agree more. Each ATW album has an identity, because of that wanderings between different influences.

@@jakubmichalski4305 you know what he meant, quit nitpicking. This post isn't even about Rival Sons. This fucking song gets my jibblies going!
You should check out Ruff Majik.

you nailed it... and so did they
The ingredients to a make a great song
Wow! Was thinking the same thing. A little bit of No Quarter in the beginning, but they really made it their own.
yup man, I sensed it too. Good job anyway.

I read this right as he was saying it! Haha
@@kjgray7771 he's actually singing "turning back blue"
how rock music should sound. borrowed concept or not.
Great Job!
Uh-oh, someone's got a case of the mondays!
No quater memories
So haunting and introspective at the same time
You dont know what the word introspective means do you?
So soothing anyone recommend other songs like this?
blood and sand - milk and the endless water

The Path - Black Bonzo
Reminds me a bit of Feathers black Crowes
ATW, valedictorians of New West University’s Class of 2018

So, basically, it owes nothing to No Quarter.
Yes, it does. and don't try to troll me, go somewhere else.

This song is an amalgamation of Led zeppelin and Pink Floyd's melodies , undoubtedly big resemblance of No quarter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's seems like Pink Floyd song
