I splurged on the magnetic Moxie lashes last year, cause I suck at using the glue on ones so thought I’d try them. I bought the lash applicator also, to help with placement, and they are METAL!! Literally cannot use them to place the lashes as they keep getting attached to the lash band. Such a waste of money.
Try the Dashing Diva’s gel nail strips instead! SUPER durable, SUPER pretty, SUPER simple to apply. No chipping (I work in retail, they put up with A LOT of abuse). No bunching. No bubbling. 32 per pack. Tati loves them too :)
I use them with the Red Therapy Base because my nails like to peel. With that stuff, they don’t when I remove them. That base works with Color Street polish strips too. Both are good stuff!
You can buy spray for shoes that has the same beading effect as those sneakers, if I were to get it I would probably waterproof my Uggs just cuz of the suede
This is a disgusting story but true... So in the like early aughts my cousin got some Doc Martens & they came with this waterproof spray. We were so fascinated by this stuff that we had our younger cousin let us spray his entire shirt, then we'd take sips of water and spit them at him to see it bead up & roll off. My aunt found us dying of laughter covered in spit and was so disgusted.
Scotchgaurd for 10$ a can. Plus u can let ur kid wear the jacket and breathe it in!! Bonus if they scream for air (jokes! Im 39. I was like 35 and i put my dads carhart jacket on with hood up. Neither one of us paid ANY attention 🤦♀️ it was bad. Real bad. )
Love my Vessis! My husband has them too and he shoveled snow in them and his feet stayed dry! Definitely not meant for Ontario snow, but he did it and they did so well!
I have Vessis and they were very good with puddles and light rain but not when you get caught in a storm. They dry up super fast if the weather is hot, but it's not waterproof if the rain is pouring and the whole shoe gets soaked... It's not built for people commuting and walking far in the rain. More like for people who walk in the rain between their car and the door.
I use nail stickers all the time and have a few tips. I lightly buff my nails with a file and then use an alcohol swap to clean them. When you apply them wrap it over the end of your finger and then file. This seals the edges better. Finally apply a top coat and they will last up to two weeks! I am a nurse and regular nail polish barely lasts a day but the stickers last so well! My favorite brand is dashing diva!
I LOVE my Vessi’s!! I got the other style, though. I wear them every single day. My feet have never gotten wet in them, and we’ve had some literal floods here where I live this year!
At first i didnt like glamnetic because of the applicator wand but they came out with liquid liners which makes the whole application easier. For a beginner lashes gal they did help me.
I have vessi's too and I love mine. I usually wear them in the winter and they kept my feet dry and warm. They're are a bit wide when you're looking at them straight down but no one else can see tell how wide they are.
I got so excited when your tried the glamnetic lashes ! I was hoping you were going to make a video on them. I would love to see if you did other styles and also tested their nails too because they have short styles
I’ve tried their nails and I will say they are cute but 1) they are very malleable to the point where they could show damage. Like I took off one and I used the flosser method and it bended the nail making it unusable/ and 2) the nail options REALLY run toward the small side. so if you have smaller nail beds you’ll be good, I have some large ones so I struggled to find matches for my first 10 set
I've tried a version of the sticker nails and it works best if you apply a protective top coat. But yeah, I agree that the stickers are kinda fiddly and if you have wide nails, the sizes might not fit. In my case, my pinkie nail is super tiny but my thumb is quite wide so the smallest size is too big for my pinkie and the largest size doesn't fit my thumb 🙃🥲
For the Vessi shoes, I find the wider base helps with my supination (I rest on the sides of my feet when I stand in one place for too long, and the wide base doesn't allow for that). I havent tried glamnetic, but I do have Moxielash (5 mag, and 10 mag), and I have the same problem with the liner getting in my lashes. I also find the magnets ridiculously hard to clean. But Moxielash has a new lash "lashies", and I find it's liner so much better to work with, and the lashes are MUCH easier to clean.
If you spray your shoes with spray starch it helps keep the. Clean and stain, dirt, water resistant. My mom did this with our shoes as kids . Great for ked canvas shoes .
Okay, watching you apply the nail strips was really helpful. I tried a different variety recently, but, like... my technique needs some for real work. I think the nail strips were fine - it was entirely user error. lol
Omg wide shoes!!! The struggle of having wide toes is real so that sounds freakin' amazing!!! And waterproof is a huge plus since it rains here all the time
I have two pairs of Vessi's. One of the Everyday (like the one you got) and one of the Cityscape. The Cityscape style is still like a sneaker but is more narrow than the Everyday ones (though personally I don't think they look that wide, but I have pretty small feet).
I started trying nail stickers after watching your old videos where you tested printed nails. I absolutely loved them. They sometimes do look bit "pasted on", but it's way better than I apply nail polish 😂 I love that you always test out new gadgets and hacks for us!! Some really opened a whole new world for me! PS: To save a little bit filing time, I always use scissors to cut the extra long nails and then file the edges. ( My nail stickers are pretty soft just like regular stickers)
I also started using magnetic lashes few weeks back. I guess they're bit heavier than the clear band ones, but they feel pretty much the same as the not-clear-band ones (the black band one's? Not sure how to call these haha). My eyes became allergic to glues after a lash extension, and magnetic lashes are a life-saver! Though sometimes I do get mild itchy feeling, it's nothing like major allergy symptoms that i would get from lash glues. I found it most easy to apply after the liner is dry or close to dry. And it's super easy to carry around the liner in case I need any extra touchups. The only thing I don't like about it is that the liner (tube) dries up pretty quickly.
I like the peel-on sticker nails for an event. No faffing around waiting for varnish to dry! Sephora used to do an own-brand version that came in eleventy billion different colours and patterns!
I like the “nerd manicures” from Espionage Cosmetics- they have some really interesting patterns and the newer sets have 22 wraps so they fit all sizes of nails. They stick really well on their own, even in the pool, but I usually put one coat of a topcoat like Seche Vite on then to protect from chipping or dents (but only one coat- if you put multiple coats on, it gets too thick and they can pop off)
I love my vessi shoes 😍 I work in the medical field as a phlebotomist and surgical tech and they are great because I can clean them really easily. I also love them for walking in the rain or hiking on the beach 👍🏻
I use artify nails and when I watched their videos on how to wear them. They recommended using nail top coat to make them last longer. Mine lasted 2 weeks. I absolutely love them
I agree on the Vessis looking wide-I have that kind and a different style and feel like the style you have look awkward. Try some of their other styles and I think you’d like them better!
The vessi shoes are definitely wider and appears bigger than usual but after awhile, they grow on you and don’t appear to look like you’re wearing clown shoes 😅 They really are waterproof from my experience and they’re pretty comfortable for everyday workwear
Tip for the nail stickers. Put a clear coat of nail polish on top of them. It will keep them from peeling and smooth out any bumps. Colorstreet is the best brand I’ve found. They cost more, but are worth it. If you don’t use all of them, put them bag in the plastic and seal it with a flat iron.
My sister's friend wore his Vessis in the pouring rain in Vancouver during the PNE. We all left with soaked through shoes and his feet where completely dry. Seem like they work!
Getting the magnetic liner all over in my lashes was also a huge problem for me and it made a problem for putting the mascara on as well! It made me not wear them the first night of a wedding event… I was way mad. You’re very fortunate to have them fit your eyes… they just were too short for mine. I’m going to use pieces and probably then move on to Moxie.
Out of the thousands of people on here, am totally addicted to your videos, your so funny and a joy to watch, thankyou so much for what you do, ❤ from uk
Thank you for demonstrating the magnetic lashes. I see them in the store quite often and my curiosity has been peaked. I've been debating buying a pair just to see, but you've saved me from spending money.
I don’t wear nail polish on my fingers but I do on my toes. I have never used this brand but I have small nails so I would cut the strips so I would get more than the 16 it came with and all of that extra wasn’t wasted. It makes it more difficult to peel off but it works and you get more uses out of it. I have also put a clear top coat on top and it helped keep them on for a long time.
Were the Vessis at least comfortable? I was most concerned about that since the waterproofing is best for like hike and outdoor activities you don’t want to walk with uncomfortable shoes.
I bought them for wearing to a theme park where it rains constantly without warning (hi Disney World) and found they were reasonably comfortable for a whole day at the park. No blisters, which was a plus. Maybe not as sturdy and supportive as a hiking boot, but for my purpose they were great.
I bought some cheapo nail stickers at walmart, they held up for a week easily and took some strength to pull off (i tend to do my nails weekly). I work a job where I ise my hand alot..and sanitize and wash my hands alot. And they held up like a champ!
Rachel the skin on your hands looks like it needs a bit of love so this happened to me to my sugestion 1. watch out for dish soap and harsh hand soaps 2. apply oils to them they have been a miracle worker for me like babyoil or bio oil does wonders on both the texture of the skin of your hands and your nails!
Ahhh I think it’s Lashible or something that has magnetic lashes with CLEAR glue so you don’t have to worry about what the liner looks like when you attach the lashes! It seems too good to be true and I would love if you could try it (: I see TikTok ads for them all the time
Make sure you use the Glamnetic magnetic eyeliner quick. I picked them up and was saving them for a special occasion. I never opened the eyeliner. It was about 3 months and I was so excited to put them on for my occasion and the eyeliner was completely DRY!! No moisturize in it whatever!! I emailed the "CEO of Glamnetic"😂 and was advised I was out of luck.
I got suckered in to a similar nail sticker MLM. They NEVER worked on my nails because they aren’t perfectly flat. They wouldn’t seal and would get caught on my hair any time I showered. I bought so many trying to make them work. Pro tip though, if you cut the stickers in half you get double the stickers. Less to file down and wastd
Im an activewear junkie and im always so intrigued when I hear ppl actually like alo bc i find for me their clothes are overpriced and there’s other brands i like a lot more. Also they still have front seams and I won’t wear yoga pants with those lol. Would be super interested to see you test out Buffbunny and ptula. They’re my favorite activewear brands and imo their fabrics are the best of all the brands I’ve tried.
I had previously tried these very cheap magnetic lashes off Amazon and I loved them, so I decided to splurge on Glamnetic. Can't say i was thrilled about the shipping time and all of that, but the lashes themself... So pretty in the box but man do they suck, I hate them really. I regret massivly buying them and I am gonna stick with the cheap ones that I absolutelly love. Wanna try Moxielashes but I don't wanna regret spending so much on lashes again. :/
You’ve gotta try Color Street nails! They’re 100% nail polish strips that are similar to the ones you tried, but don’t damage your nail because there isn’t any “sticker” or adhesive. They just stick on because they’re polish
There’s still an adhesive, but I agree. (I’m wearing Mystic Marble right now with a leftover Feeling Marble-ous accent on my ring fingers. I’ll put my usual Seche Vive topcoat on them after they’ve set and hardened for a couple of hours.). I also use the Dashing Diva Red Therapy Base (for their gel strips) because my nails like to peel near the tips. When I use the DD strips, it protects my nails when I peel them off and with the CS, it keeps the peelies from causing chips.

Those shoes would be great for water rides at theme parks though! We just went on a river rapid ride the other day and my fiancés socks got soaked and he complained all day😆
Or getting caught in sudden cloudbursts or finding the puddle that’s deeper than it looks. Yes, I’m that gifted and did that last month. I actually had to take my shoes off for part of my excursion because the inside of my shoe was so wet. That was pleasant. 🙄
That sos primer has been my holy Grail since the first time you showed it to us years ago. I even use it on no makeup days just to smooth everything out.
Love ur videos just what I needed! 😊 Hope u n ur family are doing well Rachel. 💗🌻 Oh btw those nail stickers...I havent tried that brand but I used to use Jamberry ones n theres def a learning curve w them! Plus some would stick for 2 + weeks even w swimming, dishes, bathing etc but then others wouldnt even last 10min so they can be hit or miss.
I've wondered about the Vessi shoes for a while. I've had my eye on them for ages lol. For the price I'm glad they work. I have a wider foot but those def look like bowling shoes 🤣
Can I blame TikTok for getting my *husband* to make me buy something? I know you’ve talked about the Halara dress, but dearest hubby saw a TikTok review from a larger woman, like me, and was very keen on me knowing about it. I said I’d heard of it (didn’t mention you), but I didn’t think it would come in sizes for me. Well, he made sure to point out that this TikTok-er wasn’t a skinny Minnie, but was plus sized. So I went looking. It took some digging, but I finally figured out that they have a page for Plus & Curvy. I didn’t get the one with the skinny straps like yours (because I’m also busty), but I decided to try out the racer back one because it has wider, tank top straps. I’ll let you all know my thoughts when it comes. As for the shoes, I’ve always found that Nikes run narrow, even in the ones they call “wide”. I have actual wide feet and they’re definitely not wide shoes. These waterproof ones look like they might actually fit people with feet like mine. The ones I’ve been intrigued by and would love to get are the Allbirds. Unfortunately they admit that they don’t make wides, but “that the shoes may stretch”. However that doesn’t mean a blessed thing if the footbed of the shoe isn’t wide as well. The bottoms of our feet aren’t magically medium width and only the tops are wide. It would be nice if shoe makers actually thought about that. And if they do, then how about something other than plain black or white? People with wider feet want fun shoes too. Fortunately a few do (yay Alegria!). I’ve also had people say that Kizziks, the sneakers you can put on and take off just by putting your foot in and out do come in widths, but I haven’t investigated yet.
Isn't that brow product basically the NYX Fill and Fluff? I feel like a lot of companies have done that brush style with the wedge pencil for brow products.
Rach testing magnetic lashes with a metal lash curler is honestly the content I come here for.
Most lash curlers aren't magnetic though, not all metal is magnetic

I bought so many trying to make them work. Pro tip though, if you cut the stickers in half you get double the stickers. Less to file down and wastd
I always put a top coat over nail stickers and it helps them last longer!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today.?’
Cut them in half before removing nail sticker backing and you can get 2 uses when you have short nails👌🏽👏🏽🤗
I have stick nails from another brand and they say in their instructions to put a clear coat over it. For me it works perfectly
I love your vids Rachel. Can I call u Rachel? But you always put me in a better mood & I’m glad you’re feeling better from your hardships 💕💕
Glamnetic lashes are amazing. I wear them everyday!
OMG! never been this early
Hello 👋 how are you doing today.?
Seems that since the nail stickers are so long, you can cut them in half and use both halves if you have two nails that are v similar in size
Bomba socks rock!! Also the Jen Aniston detangler came out today!! Mine is on the way!!

I’m sorry that you have such trouble with magnetic lashes, I love them. They looked good though.
I love Alo, especially Alosoft, it’s the most unique fabric ever!😍
They're also an MLM that preys on women promising them an income that only the top 1% will ever see!
@@HeidiJoy94, or just a company making a decent product and allowing people to make a nice side income while having fun. Do you personally know any consultants? I do. She’s a professor at a well known university and does CS on the side because she likes it. Not every business like this is Amway or the other Ponzi scheme companies that have been prosecuted for fraud.
Color street is my go to for “sticker” nail polish
I love that teal sweatshirt that you're wearing before you try on the clothing! Where did you get it?!?!
I’m old (51), and I feel like the Vessis look like old lady shoes. Agree with the “bowling shoe” vibe.
I'm a 10 sometimes up to 11 in different brand shoes and there are just certain shapes that look funny in those bigger sizes
I'm torn. Love the waterproof, but dang those shoes are homely.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today.?
Which lip stint to do wear? I have been tried to find some since I am not a lipstick wearing girl.. ♥️
I never thought about that, I usually just avoid those rides cause I hate being wet all day, but that's smart.
I personally have issues applying the magnetic liner directly, I brush it onto an angled liner brush and use that to apply instead
That sos primer has been my holy
Grail since the first time you showed it to us years ago. I even use it on no makeup days just to smooth everything out.

I've found that those stick on nails work and last best if you add too coat to them and just cure them then they last way longer
I use those shoes for work as a nurse, they look weird but all I care is that they're waterproof
NYX has an eyebrow pencil that has that brush too. Came out a couple years ago
can you try color street nails?? and maybe compare them to the other sticker nails you’ve tried
Love ur videos just what I needed! 😊 Hope u n ur family are doing well Rachel. 💗🌻
Oh btw those nail stickers...I havent tried that brand but I used to use Jamberry ones n theres def a learning curve w them! Plus some would stick for 2 + weeks even w swimming, dishes, bathing etc but then others wouldnt even last 10min so they can be hit or miss.
Lol those nail stickers I've tried and honestly haven't really worked for me either and those shoes do look like bowling shoes!
Item beauty mascara is nice I got it in my ipsy glam bag!

I love my vessi shoes! I have one pair and plan to get more! I can't wait until fall rains!
