- I have always been fascinated with the G650. My friend walked me through starting up the APU. Its incredible to know how many buttons there are.... although we were joking about me flying the plane, the footage at the end was taken by first officer during their trip to Bora bora.

Mike's instructions were excellent. All flight instructors could learn from his approach to cockpit systems startup. Positive, clear and encouraging. Students quickly become confident with good flight deck training.

Holy MOLY! Over 5 minutes of pushing buttons just to get this thing ready to go?! I like how I just push ONE button to start my vehicles. :D Awesome video! Definitely subscription-worthy!
Wait until you spend 20+ minutes just programming the flight management system computer with the flight plan waypoints including altitude crossings and fuel burn off (and alternate landing airport), aircraft weight, V-speeds, and departure runway info. Five minutes is a blink of the eye, heh.

Just saw this video and subbed instantly! I love the G650, I'm a refueller at one of my local FBO's and I love to see the 650's when they come in! Any corporate/private jet is a welcome change to our regular C130's and C-17's for that matter haha

My brother in law used to build Gulfstreams when they had a shop in OKC, OK... then he went to Savannah for a while. Loved the job, but eventually got out of it and went into nursing. You live a charmed life Sonia..!

Yeah, I love the G550, G600, G650ER and G700. I wonder if the G800 is just an elongated G700 or something else entirely.

I've found that aligning the IRSs before you bring on cabin power helps to insure a successful cabin start. Nice video, btw.

Great video. I just went flying today in my C421. I have all steam gauges not all that fancy stuff you got to play with. And I was in Carlisle Arkansas not Boro Boro. 😎. Still had fun at 225 kts.

Nothing like getting into a jet on the ground with a type rated friend when you are a freshly minted PPL and powering it up. Makes you feel like a real pilot, heh. Flight Safety is calling you.

So many buttons to push prior to flying the 650! I really like the ability to scroll and move the cursor from the yoke. More GA aircraft should have this. Perhaps a remote device kind of like a mouse with a cable-connection to a USB port in the NAV-COMM that can be Velcro-attached to the yoke.
+Stuart Grant some airliners take 20 to 30 minutes to start up. There r some videos on UA-cam that show the start up process.

Stuart Grant When you pick your G6 up in Savanah, GA... gotta go their about 2 weeks prior, may be in the months now that production has been in gear a couple years, to get the planes pilots seats molded to your body. IF you are going to be the pilot!
