I lost my dad a little over 7 years ago and every so often me and my mom find projects that had been started but never finished and we don't know how much or what all had been done.
This was a true heartwarming story to share. Mike, Damon, their crews and other professionals were amazing people who put their work into the sweet home sweet. Ben learned a lot from Mike and others. I am sure that it gave Manny the goosebumps when he walked into his house. Bravo to Mike and the rest of the crews.
I can understand how this feels. I just lost the love of my life shortly before Thanksgiving, we spent 35 years together. It has completely devastated me. I was in the process of updating my trailer home and now I can't bring myself to going further
I like this episode. Very emotional and the homeowner is a great guy. Unfortunately, a one bedroom home will be hard to sell after he's gone. Maybe a retired couple will eventually buy it. The new bathroom is very nice.
I can be a plumber. As a kid 8-9 years old (1960/61) I was the only one small enough to fit through the hole in the septic tank with a bucket. It was a stinky job, but somebody had to do it. Later we found the magic of caustic soda (lye). Two shovels full in the hole and stir. No more blockages from tree roots, sludge, whatever. It cleared the leach bed and everything twice a year. It didn't kill the trees, but it did teach them to send their roots in the opposite direction. Plus, we were the only house out in the country with a manhole cover in the yard for easy access.
I also use a wrench on shield anchors. You can feel them go up, be sure you don't overtorque, and re-fix if they hit a void or weak spot in the concrete. No substitute for feeling the thread go up.
I'm so sorry for your loss my condolences go out to you and your family I know Mike and his son will fix up your house and we'll make it beautifulwe love you and Happy New year God bless 🙏🙏❤️❤❤😊😊😊
Fantastic as always. Here's hoping a Joyous New 2025 to all your family, friends, crew and anyone in the world, I wish you peace and Glad tidings as well.
Such a great story and I was a little surprised that it cost so much money for a small sun room. Obviously you did more than just the sun room and there were lots of extras including some unplanned work. Did you rewire the house? I know you did plumbing for the bathroom did you also repair the kitchen plumbing? For once you didn’t jack hammer in the basement and put in a new sewer line.
Wow im impressed Mike actually did a 4 season room i just wish he would learn not to use concrete foundation and basement brick and wood are much better and cost effective and time saving plus concrete ISNT WATERPROOF Mike should know that by now
My father died December 2009 and my Mother STILL REFUSES to sleep in the room. She say's she want's to, but I believe she will only sleep in the bed when she known's she is going to die. I have brought this up to her and she does NOT want to talk about it.
This episode really made me miss my dad. Thank you Mike and crew for doing right by this father and son!

What a wonderful episode
@@gerbearjones6056 I will have to watch the whole episode later because I can't really see it through the tears that never stop
This would have to be one of the most tear jurking episodes I have watched. I love the way Mike let the son do as much as he could to his dads house🎉😢
Terrific job. Beautiful sunroom. The house and yard are now restful.

I'd like to follow Mike and the Crew and pick up thier demo material. I bet I could build a house with all the good stuff they throw out.
Manny is so cute. He deserves this so much
so wholesome!

Great job. Only change I would make is a walk in shower vs tub. After 55, prepare for years to come.
Was this before damon left Mike's company?
Come back to Georgetown mike

If you need your wife to do every little thing for you, you’re going to be quite helpless if anything happens to her
